Description

A LAUNDRY WASHING AND DRYING MACHINE COMPRISING A CONDENSER
The present invention relates to a laundry washing and drying machine that comprises a condenser.
In laundry washing and drying machines, air-cooled condensers are widely used, which realize the condensation process by using the outer environment air in the drying process after washing. Humid air that comes from over the laundry and passes through the process air channel is condensed in the condenser cooled by means of the outer environment air, thus the air that is dried by being dehumidified is sent again onto the laundry through the process air channel. For preventing the heat transfer performance of the condenser in the washer/dryers that comprise air cooled condenser from decreasing in due course, the fibers that adhere on the condenser by coming off from the laundry are required to be cleaned at certain periods.
In the state of the art European Patent Application No. EP2169107, a spraying device is described, providing the condenser disposed in a dryer to be washed and thus cleaned of fiber and lint at the end of the drying process.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a laundry washing and drying machine comprising a condenser wherein the fibers adhering on the condenser are enabled to be easily cleansed.
The laundry washing and drying machine realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a drum wherein the laundry is placed; a tub wherein the drum moves; a discharge hole that is situated at the lower side of the tub and that enables the water to be discharged at the end of the washing and drying processes; a discharge line that is connected to the discharge hole; an air circulation duct wherein the process air circulation, providing the drying of the laundry, is performed in the drying process after the washing process, a fan that provides the circulation of the process air, and a condenser that is disposed onto the air circulation duct and that enables the process air passing therethrough to be condensed.
The laundry washing and drying machine of the present invention comprises a condenser washing line that has a first end connected to the discharge line and a second line extending to the condenser, and that provides the delivery of water from the discharge line to the condenser. At the end of the washing-drying processes, the wash water remaining inside the tub passes through the discharge hole to leave the tub and discharged from the discharge line by means of the first pump. By means of the condenser washing line extending from the discharge line to the condenser, at least some portion of the wash water delivered from the first pump to the discharge line is delivered to the condenser. The wash water leaving the condenser washing line is sent onto the condenser surfaces and sweeps the fibers on the condenser surfaces and leaves the condenser.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the laundry washing and drying machine comprises the condenser washing line that has a smaller diameter than the discharge line. At the end of the washing process, some portion of the wash water accumulating in the tub is sufficient to clean the condenser. The condenser washing line, which as a smaller diameter than the discharge line, enables the amount of water sufficient to clean the condenser to be delivered to the condenser. The remaining wash water not delivered to the condenser is discharged from the discharge line.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the laundry washing and drying machine comprises a valve that is disposed on the discharge line and a control unit that enables the water to be directed to the condenser washing line by means of the valve. In this embodiment, the valve comprises at least two outlets connected to the discharge line and the condenser washing line. Thus, the wash water is enabled to be directed to the discharge line and the condenser washing line. The control unit controls delivery of the wash water to the discharge line or the condenser washing line by controlling the open/closed positions of the shutters at the outlet ends of the valve.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the control unit enables the water to be directed to the condenser washing line by means of the valve after the main washing step is completed. At the end of the main washing step, the hot wash water containing detergent in the tub is delivered to the condenser and the fibers adhered onto the condenser are enabled to more easily break off from the condenser surfaces.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the laundry washing and or drying machine comprises a water spraying device that is disposed on the condenser washing line so as to be positioned between the condenser washing line and the condenser. The form of the water spraying device widening from its end connected to the condenser washing line towards the condenser enables the wash water leaving the water spraying device to be sprayed onto the entire surface of the condenser. Thus the condenser is enabled to be more effectively cleaned.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the laundry washing and drying machine comprises a second pump that is disposed on the condenser washing line. The second pump enables the wash water to be sprayed onto the condenser in a pressurized manner. Thus, the fibers adhering onto the condenser can be easily swept off from the condenser surface.
By means of the present invention, a laundry washing and drying machine is realized, that comprises a condenser the accumulation of fiber on which is prevented.
The laundry washing and drying machine realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
