Description

Cutting head for rotary cutting tools
The present invention relates to a cutting head for a rotary cutting tool. The present invention was originally developed as a cutting head of a rotary cutting instrument used for dental technicians, and will be described in the following description. In addition, it is widely used for cutting of metal and wood, excavation of civil engineering, etc. It can also be used as a cutting head of a rotary cutting tool.
Dentists and dental technicians often adjust resin products, dentures, and plaster models using rotary cutting tools. A cutting head as shown in FIG. 3 (a) is attached to the tip of the handpiece, and while rotating it at a high speed, it is processed against a resin product, dentures, or a plaster model. As such a cutting head, for example, JP-T-2003-517350 is known.
特表2003―517350Special table 2003-517350
For example, when processing the complete denture 3 (FIG. 1), when the cutting head 1A (FIG. 3) is applied to the resin of the palate floor edge 31, the resin 32 is melted by the frictional heat generated from the cutting blade 13A. As shown in FIG. 3B, the cutting blade 16 is easily entangled. Even when cutting solid materials that do not melt, such as tooth enamel and dentin, and other wood, metal, rocks, and stones, wear of the cutting head tends to proceed due to frictional heat.
If this happens, it will be difficult to continue using it, and it will be necessary to clean it or replace it with a new cutting head. Depending on the material of the cutting head, it is often advantageous to replace it with a new cutting head in consideration of the time and labor required for cleaning.
If it is possible to prevent or reduce resin entanglement and premature wear of the product due to such heat generation during rotary cutting, the product life of the cutting head is extended and it is economical. An object of the present invention is to provide a cutting head for a rotary cutting tool capable of preventing or reducing such resin entanglement and premature wear of a product.
The present invention comprises a shaft portion having a mounting portion attached to a handpiece of a rotary cutting tool, and a cutting blade portion at the tip of the shaft portion, and the cutting blade portion includes a plurality of axial grooves and a plurality of axial blades. The cutting head has a feature that heat generation during cutting is suppressed by providing at least one slightly deep groove in the circumferential direction in the cutting blade portion.
“Here,“ slightly deep groove ”means that a slight jagged groove on the surface is not included.
The depth, width, number, and interval of grooves differ greatly depending on the size of the cutting head, location, and purpose of use. For example, when the cutting head is used for a rotary cutting instrument used in a dental technician, the groove depth is 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm, the groove width is 0.5 mm to 2.0 mm at the surface position, and the number is one. This is sufficient as long as the width is 1 to 3 for a wide groove, and 1 to 5 for a narrow groove.
According to the invention of the independent claim of the present application, by providing at least one circumferentially slightly deep groove in the cutting blade part, it is possible to reliably reduce resin entanglement and premature wear of the product due to heat generation during rotary cutting. It was possible to reduce the replacement frequency of the cutting head. It is presumed that this is because the frictional heat is reduced by reducing the contact area.
According to the invention of the dependent claim of the present application, a cutting head suitable for a rotary cutting instrument used in a dental technician can be obtained.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
It is a perspective view of the state currently processed if the cutting head for rotary cutting tools which concerns on Example 1 of this invention is used. It is the (a) front view of the cutting head, (b) top view, (c) arrow top sectional view, (d) bottom view. (A) The front view before use of the cutting head which concerns on a prior art, (b) The front view of the state which resin entangled. FIG. 6 is a front view of each cutting head according to Examples 2 to 5.
The cutting head 1 of Example 1 shown in FIG. 2 is attached to the tip of a hand piece 2 of a rotary cutting tool as shown in FIG.
The cutting head 1 includes a shaft portion 12 having a mounting portion 11 attached to the handpiece 2 and a cutting blade portion 13 at the tip of the shaft portion 12. The cutting blade portion 13 is slightly tapered toward the tip, and has eight axial grooves 15 and axial blades 16 from the conical center body 14. The axial grooves 15 and blades 16 are slightly twisted, as can be seen in FIGS. The blade 16 is provided with a shallow wavy jagged groove 17.
A feature of the present invention is that at least one circumferentially slightly deep groove 18 is provided in the cutting blade portion 13. In the embodiment of FIG. 2, it can be seen that one circumferential deep groove 18 is provided near the tip.
The depth, width, number, and interval of the grooves 18 vary greatly depending on the size of the cutting head, the location of use, and the purpose of use. However, it is clear that if the depth is too deep, too wide, or the number of blades increases, the number of blades that operate is reduced, which not only reduces cutting efficiency but also easily breaks. .
As far as the cutting blade part of a rotary cutting tool used in dental technicians is concerned, the groove depth is 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm, preferably 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm, and the groove width is 0.5 mm to 2.0 mm at the surface position. It should be 0 mm, preferably 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm, and should be clearly distinguishable from the shallow jagged grooves 17 found in the prior art. In the case of a wide groove, about 1 to 3 is appropriate, and in the case of a narrow groove, about 1 to 5 is sufficient.
4A to 4D are front views of the cutting heads according to Examples 2 to 5, respectively. Each has a plurality of axial grooves and a plurality of axial blades. The cutting head 1B of the second embodiment is a mandarin orange type and has one groove 18B. The cutting head 1C of Example 3 is a balloon type, and there are two grooves 18C. The cutting head 1D of Example 4 is a bud type, and there are three grooves 18D.
