Definitions
- the present invention relates to a terminal and a communication control method.
- the LTE (Long Term Evolution) system employs carrier aggregation (CA) that performs communication using a plurality of carriers simultaneously with a predetermined bandwidth (maximum 20 MHz) as a basic unit.
- CA carrier aggregation
- a carrier that is a basic unit in CA is called a component carrier (CC: Component Carrier).
- a PCell Primary Cell
- SCell Secondary Cell
- the LTE system performs an operation called scheduling for allocating radio resources for each user (for each terminal) when data is transmitted and received between the base station and the terminal.
- the minimum time unit of scheduling is called TTI (Transmission Time Interval), and 1 TTI is 1 ms.
- TTI is also called a subframe, and one subframe is 1 ms. (For example, refer nonpatent literature 1).
- 5G 5th generation wireless technology
- 3GPP 3rd Generation Partnership Project
- 5G 3rd Generation Partnership Project
- 5G in order to reduce the delay of wireless communication, for example, it is considered to shorten 1 TTI to 0.1 ms.
- a terminal transmits a terminal buffer amount (BS: Buffer Size) and surplus power (PH: Power Headroom) to a base station. Notifying the base station of the buffer amount of the terminal is called BSR (Buffer Status Report), and notifying the base station of the surplus power of the terminal is called PHR (Power Headroom Report).
- BSR Buffer Status Report
- PHR Power Headroom Report
- the buffer amount of the terminal indicates how much data the terminal holds in the uplink for the amount of data to be transmitted to the base station. Based on the buffer amount notified from the terminal, the base station Assign (schedule) radio resources on the link.
- the surplus power is calculated by a predetermined calculation formula stipulated by 3GPP and indicates how much the terminal can increase the transmission power. Based on the surplus power notified from the terminal, the base station determines an uplink modulation scheme and assigns resource blocks.
- the terminal when performing communication using a plurality of cells by CA, the terminal bases the buffer amount of the terminal and the surplus power of each of the PCell and SCell via the PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel) of the PCell. It is possible to notify the station.
- PUSCH Physical Uplink Shared Channel
- LTE TTI and 5G TTI are different. Accordingly, when CA is performed with the LTE cell as the PCell and the 5G cell as the SCell, the terminal performs the buffer amount of the terminal, the surplus power of the SCell, at which timing among the plurality of subframes existing in the SCell. Therefore, it is not known whether it is sufficient to calculate and notify the base station.

- uplink data transmission (S2 to S4) is performed in three subframes in the SCell.
- the terminal reports the surplus power of the SCell to the base station in step S5, but there is one surplus power of the SCell that can be stored in the MAC CE. Accordingly, in the processing procedure of step S5, the terminal should notify the base station of the surplus power in which subframe among the subframes related to the processing procedures of step S2, step S3, and step S4 as the surplus power of the SCell. There was a problem that could not be determined. In addition, the base station cannot grasp in which subframe the surplus power is notified among the plurality of subframes of the SCell, and there is a problem in that appropriate uplink scheduling cannot be performed.
- the terminal reports the buffer amount of the terminal to the base station in step S5, but in which processing procedure among the uplink data amounts transmitted in the processing procedures of step S2, step S3, and step S4.
- the base station cannot correctly grasp the buffer amount of the terminal, and there has been a problem that unnecessary (excessive) resources may be allocated in uplink scheduling.
- the disclosed technology has been made in view of the above, and in carrier aggregation using cells with different time intervals of subframes, when the information used for communication control is notified from the terminal to the base station, the information is An object is to provide a technique capable of appropriately notifying a base station.
