Abstract

본 발명에 따르면 극저온 액체 전송관에 있어서, 극저온 액체가 전송되는 도관을 다층의 필름 구조를 가지면서 각각의 필름층이 계단형태의 지지대에 의해 일정 간격으로 이격된 복수의 단열막을 이용하여 단열시키고, 또한, 이러한 복수의 단열막이 도관을 중심으로 복수의 겹으로 도관을 둘러싸도록 하면서, 이 때 안쪽 단열막과 바깥쪽 단열막이 도관의 길이 방향을 따라 서로 어긋나도록 배치시킴으로써, 외부로부터 전송관의 내부로 전달되는 열의 전달경로를 최대한 연장시켜 보다 효과적인 단열이 가능하도록 한다.

Description

극저온 액체 전송관
본 발명은 극저온 액체 전송에 관한 것으로, 특히 극저온 액체 전송관에 있어서, 극저온 액체가 전송되는 도관(conduit)을, 다층의 필름 구조를 가지면서 각각의 필름층이 계단형태의 지지대에 의해 일정 간격으로 이격된 복수의 단열막을 이용하여 단열시키고, 또한, 이러한 복수의 단열막이 도관을 중심으로 복수의 겹으로 도관을 둘러싸도록 하면서, 이 때 안쪽 단열막과 바깥쪽 단열막은 도관의 길이 방향을 따라 서로 어긋나도록 배치시킴으로써, 외부로부터 전송관의 내부로 전달되는 열의 전달경로를 최대한 연장시켜 보다 효과적인 단열이 가능하도록 하는 극저온 액체 전송관에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로, 극저온 액체라 함은 수 내지 수십 캘빈(kelvin :k)이하의 극저온으로 냉각하여 액화시킨 물질을 말하는 것으로 액화 헬륨(Liquid Helium : LHe), 액화 질소(Liquid Nitrogen), 액화 산소, 액화 수소 등과 같은 물질을 의미한다.
이러한 극저온 액체는 최근 들어 차세대 반도체 제조 기술 등 주로 다양한 첨단 기술 분야에서 수요가 증가하고 있다. 특히 헬륨의 경우 신규 반도체 제조 공정에서 집접 회로의 기하학적 구조의 크기의 감소에 대응하기 위한 진보적 공정에서 필름의 침착 등의 작업에 많이 사용되고 있다.
따라서, 위와 같은 액화 헬륨 등과 같은 극저온 액체에 대한 수요가 증가함에 따라 극저온 액체를 자체 생산할 수 없는 반도체 제조 공장 등으로 극저온 액체를 제공하기 위한 다양한 방법이 시도되고 있다. 이러한 방법 중 극저온 액체를 원격지에 위치한 다수의 수요업체로 전송관 등을 통해 공급하는 방법이 가장 효율적일 수 있다.
한편, 이러한 극저온 액체는 복사열 등과 같은 외부의 열에 노출된 전송관을 통해 전송 시 복사열 등이 전송관으로 전달되는 경우 쉽게 기화되기 때문에 극저온 액체를 전송하는 전송관의 단열이 매우 중요하다.
이를 위해 외부로부터의 열에 의한 극저온 액체의 손실을 방지시키기 위한 여러 가지 전송관들이 제안되고 있으나, 제안된 대부분의 전송관은 여전히 원거리까지의 전송 시 복사열 등에 의한 극저온 액체의 손실이 크며, 구조 또한 매우 복잡할 뿐만 아니라, 전송관을 둘러싸는 단열막간 접착현상 등으로 인해 열전달율을 낮추는데 있어서 여러 가지 문제점을 가지고 있었다.
따라서, 극저온 액체를 전송하기 위한 전송관의 구성에 있어서 종래 문제점을 해결하고, 보다 간편하게 제작 가능하면서도 외부로부터의 열을 보다 효과적으로 차단시킬 수 있도록 하는 새로운 구조의 전송관에 대한 요구가 커져 왔다.
따라서, 본 발명에서는 극저온 액체 전송관에 있어서, 극저온 액체가 전송되는 도관을 다층의 필름 구조를 가지면서 각각의 필름층이 계단형태의 지지대에 의해 일정 간격으로 이격된 복수의 단열막을 이용하여 단열시키고, 또한, 이러한 복수의 단열막이 도관을 중심으로 복수의 겹으로 도관을 둘러싸도록 하면서, 이 때 안쪽 단열막과 바깥쪽 단열막이 도관의 길이 방향을 따라 서로 어긋나도록 배치시킴으로써, 외부로부터 전송관의 내부로 전달되는 열의 전달경로를 최대한 연장시켜 보다 효과적인 단열이 가능하도록 하는 극저온 액체 전송관을 제공하고자 한다.
상술한 본 발명은 극저온 액체 전송관으로서, 극저온 액체가 유동되는 제1 도관과, 각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지도며 상기 제1 도관을 감싸는 제1 단열부와, 상기 제1 단열부의 외부를 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 제1 보호막과, 상기 제1 보호막과 접촉되며, 상기 제1 보호막의 냉각을 위한 냉매가 유동되는 제2 도관과, 각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지며 상기 제1 보호막과 상기 제2 도관을 감싸는 제2 단열부와, 상기 제2 단열부의 외부를 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 제2 보호막을 포함한다.
또한, 상기 제1 단열부와 제2 단열부는 각각, 상기 각각의 필름층이 와선(spiral)모양으로 감기는 형태로 형성되며, 상기 제1 도관의 길이 방향을 따른 각각의 필름층의 길이가 서로 다르게 형성되는 단열부재와, 상기 단열부재의 양쪽 끝단에 위치하며, 상기 단열부재내 각각의 필름층을 지지하도록 일측면에 계단형의 연결부가 형성되고, 상기 연결부의 각각의 층에 하나의 필름층이 위치되도록 조립되는 지지대와, 상기 단열부재의 외부를 감싸면서 상기 단열부재의 양쪽 끝단에 위치한 상기 지지대를 서로 연결시키는 파이프를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 지지대는, 상기 단열부재의 각각의 필름층에 상기 연결부의 계단형으로 형성된 각각의 층이 대응되게 끼워지도록 조립되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 지지대는, 상기 연결부상 각각의 층의 끝단으로부터 상기 각각의 필름층이 기설정된 거리만큼 이격되어 상기 각각의 층에 위치하도록 상기 단열부재에 조립되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 지지대는, 상기 계단형의 연결부가 형성된 일측면의 반대측면에, 인접하는 도관 또는 보호막과 접촉하는 내부 표면을 포함하며 상기 제1 도관을 향하는 내측면과 인접하는 도관 또는 보호막과 접촉하는 외부 표면을 포함하며 상기 내측면과 반대 방향을 향하는 외측면을 가지며, 상기 제1 단열부에서는 내부 표면이 제1 도관과 점접촉하고, 외부 표면은 상기 제1 보호막과 점접촉하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 지지대는, 상기 제2 단열부에서는 내부 표면이 제1 보호막 및 제2 도관과 점접촉하고, 외부 표면은 상기 제2 보호막과 점접촉하는 것을 특징으로 한다.

또한, 상기 지지대는, 상기 연결부보다 반경방향으로 돌출되며, 원주 방향으로 내측면과 외측면이 원통형 형상을 갖는 중공의 형태로 형성되되, 상기 외측면에는 일정 간격으로 이격되게 상기 제2 보호막과의 접촉면을 줄이기 위한 돌기부가 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 돌기부는, 단면이 반원형이거나 삼각형인 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 지지대는, 상기 내측면이 톱니 모양으로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 제1 단열부와 제2 단열부는, 상기 제1 도관의 길이에 따라 모듈 형태로 다수개가 연결되도록 제작 가능하며, 각각의 제1 단열부 사이와 각각의 제2 단열부 사이에는 중간 이음 부재가 위치하는 특징으로 한다.

또한, 상기 제1 도관과 제2 도관의 사이에는, 열전달을 방지시키는 열전달 차단막이 설치되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 제3 도관은, 일정 거리만큼 이격되는 2개의 도관으로 형성되며, 하나의 도관은 상기 냉매가 인입되는 관으로 사용되고, 나머지 하나의 도관은 상기 인입된 냉매가 인출되는 관으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 제1 도관은, 상기 극저온 액체가 인입되는 관으로 사용되고, 상기 제2 도관은 상기 제2 도관으로 인입된 상기 극저온 액체가 인출되는 관으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 본 발명은 극저온 액체 전송관으로서, 극저온 액체가 유동되는 제1 도관과, 상기 제1 도관과 인접하게 배치되며, 상기 극저온 액체가 유동되는 제2 도관과, 각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지며 상기 제1 도관과 제2 도관을 각각 감싸는 두 개의 제1 단열부와, 상기 두 개의 제1 단열부의 외부를 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 제1 보호막과, 상기 제1 보호막에 접촉되며, 상기 제1 보호막의 냉각을 위한 냉매가 유동되는 제3 도관과, 각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지며 상기 제1 보호막과 상기 제3 도관을 감싸는 제2 단열부와, 상기 제2 단열부의 외부를 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 제2 보호막을 포함한다.
또한, 상기 제1 도관은, 상기 극저온 액체가 인입되는 관으로 사용되고, 상기 제2 도관은 상기 제2 도관으로 인입된 상기 극저온 액체가 인출되는 관으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 제2 도관을 감싸는 제1 단열부는, 내부에 다층의 필름 구조로 형성되는 단열부재를 포함하며, 상기 단열부재는 초절연(superinsulation) 재질로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명에 따르면, 극저온 액체 전송관에 있어서, 극저온 액체가 전송되는 도관을 다층의 필름 구조를 가지면서 각각의 필름층이 계단형태의 지지대에 의해 일정 간격으로 이격된 복수의 단열막을 이용하여 단열시키고, 또한, 이러한 복수의 단열막이 도관을 중심으로 복수의 겹으로 도관을 둘러싸도록 하면서, 이 때 안쪽 단열막과 바깥쪽 단열막이 도관의 길이 방향을 따라 서로 어긋나도록 배치시킴으로써, 외부로부터 전송관의 내부로 전달되는 열의 전달경로를 최대한 연장시켜 보다 효과적인 단열이 가능하도록 하는 이점이 있다.
또한, 극저온 액체가 전송되는 도관의 주위에 액화 질소 등의 냉매가 유동되는 별도의 도관을 배치시켜 도관 주위를 냉각시킴으로써 복사열 등과 같은 외부로부터의 열이 극저온 액체가 위치한 도관으로 전달되는 열 전달율을 낮춤으로써 보다 효과적인 단열이 가능하도록 하는 이점이 있다.

이하, 도 1 내지 도 2를 참조하여 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 극저온 액체 전송관의 각 구성요소에 대해 상세히 설명하기로 한다.
먼저, 극저온 액체 전송관(100)은 제1 도관(102), 제1 단열부(104), 제1 보호막(112), 제2 도관(116), 제2 단열부(114), 제2 보호막(118) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
제1 도관(102)은 액화 헬륨(Liquid Helium: LHe) 등과 같은 극저온 액체를 전송하기 위한 관으로써 원통형의 금속 재질의 관으로 제작될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 또한, 이러한 제1 도관(102)은 극저온 액체의 전송 요구 수량에 따라 대응되는 지름과 두께로 제작될 수 있다.
제1 단열부(104)는 제1 도관(102)을 감싸도록 형성되어 외부의 복사열이 제1 도관(102)으로 전달되는 것을 방지시키기 위한 구성 요소로써 복사열의 전달을 차단시킬 수 있는 재질로 형성될 수 있다.
또한, 이러한 제1 단열부(104)는 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이 다층의 필름 구조를 가지는 단열 부재(106)와 단열부재(106)의 양쪽 끝단에서 단열부재(106)와 결합되어 단열부재(106)의 각각 필름층을 지지하는 지지대(108)와 단열부재(106)를 감싸면서 양쪽의 지지대(108)를 서로 연결시키는 파이프(pipe)(110) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
단열부재(106)는 플랙서블(flexible)한 금속 재질의 필름 등이 다층으로 형성되는 다층의 필름 구조의 원통형으로 형성될 수 있으며, 이러한 다층의 필름 구조는 도 2의 참조번호 (150)에서 보여지는 바와 같이 박막의 알루미늄 등과 같은 금속 재질의 필름을 내부로부터 감는 방식을 통해 와선(spiral) 모양으로 형성될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 이때, 이와 같이 금속 재질의 필름 등을 와선(spiral)모양으로 감아서 다층의 필름 구조를 형성시키는 경우 각각의 층은 와선(spiral)모양으로 감긴 내부 중심점으로부터 외부로 팽창하려는 특성을 갖게 되므로 두 개의 인접한 층이 접착되는 현상이 방지될 수 있다.
즉, 종래에는 다층의 필름 구조에서 인접한 층간 접착 현상으로 인해 외부로부터의 복사열이 전송관 내부로 전달되는 전달율이 높았으나, 본 발명의 실시예에서와 같이 와선(spiral) 모양으로 필름을 다층으로 형성시키게 되는 경우 각각의 필름 층간 접착 현상이 방지되어 복사열의 전달율을 낮출 수 있게 된다.
지지대(108)는 단열부재(106)의 양쪽 끝단에 위치하며, 단열부재(106)내 각각의 필름층을 지지하도록 일측면에 계단형의 연결부(109)가 형성되고, 연결부(109)의 각각의 층에는 하나의 필름층이 위치되도록 하면서 단열부재(106)와 조립될 수 있다. 즉, 지지대(108)는 도 2에서 보여지는 바와 같이 다층의 필름 구조를 가지는 단열부재(106)의 각각의 필름층이 놓여지는 계단형의 연결부(109)를 가질 수 있으며, 이러한 계단형의 연결부(109)의 각각의 층에 하나의 필름층이 위치하도록 하는 형태로 단열부재(106)에 조립될 수 있다. 또한, 지지대(108)는 계단형의 연결부가 형성된 일측면의 반대측면에, 인접하는 도관 또는 보호막과 접촉하는 내부 표면을 포함하며 상기 제1 도관(102)을 향하는 내측면과, 인접하는 도관 또는 보호막과 접촉하는 외부 표면을 포함하며 내측면과 반대 방향을 향하는 외측면을 가질 수 있다. 도 2의 참조번호 (154)에서 보여지는 바와 같이 지지대(108)는 내부 표면 및 외부 표면을 통해 인접하는 보호막 또는 도관과 접촉한다.
이때, 이러한 지지대(108)는 도 2의 참조번호 (152)에서 보여지는 바와 같이 연결부(109)상 각각의 층의 끝단으로부터 단열부재(106)의 각각의 필름층이 기설정된 거리만큼 이격되어 위치되도록 할 수 있다. 이는 극저온 액체 전송관(100)이 복사열이 존재하는 외부에 노출되어 있는 경우 복사열 등에 의해 단열부재(106)를 구성하는 각각의 필름층이 팽창할 수 있는 현상을 대비하기 위한 것이다. 이와 같이 연결부(109)상 각각의 층의 끝단으로부터 해당 층에 놓여진 각각의 필름까지 일정 이격 거리를 가지도록 구성하는 경우 필름이 팽창하더라도 팽창된 필름에 의해 단열부재(106)에 조립된 지지대(108)가 밀려나는 등의 현상을 방지할 수 있다.
또한, 이러한 지지대(108)는 제1 단열부(104)에 위치하는 경우에는 내부 표면은 제1 도관(102)과 접촉하고 외부 표면은 제1 보호막(112)과 접촉하게 된다. 이때 외부로부터 전달되는 복사열의 전달율을 최소화하기 위해 도 1 및 도 2에서 보여지는 바와 같이 제1 도관(102)과 제1 보호막(112)과 접촉 시 점접촉을 이룰 수 있는 모양으로 형성될 수 있다.
또한, 이러한 지지대(108)는 제2 단열부(114)에 위치하는 경우에는 내부 표면은 제1 보호막(112) 및 제2 도관(116)과 접촉하고, 외부 표면은 제2 보호막(118)과 접촉하게 된다. 이 때, 제1 단열부(104)에서와 마찬가지로 외부로부터 전달되는 복사열의 전달율을 최소화하기 위해 도 1 및 도 2에서 보여지는 바와 같이 제1 보호막(112)과 제2 도관(116) 및 제2 보호막(118)과 접촉 시 점접촉을 이룰 수 있는 모양으로 형성될 수 있다.
즉, 위와 같은 점접촉을 위해 지지대(108)는 예를 들어 도 1 및 도 2의 참조번호 (154)에서 보여지는 바와 같이 연결부(109)보다 반경 방향으로 돌출되도록 형성될 수 있으며, 원주 방향으로 내측면과 외측면이 다각 형상을 갖는 중공의 형태로 형성될 수 있다. 이때, 지지대(108)의 외측면과 내측면은 제1 도관(102)의 길이 방향을 따라 경사면으로 이루어지도록 할 수 있으나 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 이에 따라, 제1 단열부(104)에서는 지지대(108)와 제1 도관(102) 및 제1 보호막(112) 사이에 점접촉이 이루어져 복사열 전달율을 최소화할 수 있으며, 제2 단열부(114)에서는 지지대(108)와 제1 보호막(112)과 제2 도관(116) 및 제2 보호막(118) 사이에 점접촉이 이루어져 복사열 전달율을 최소화할 수 있다.
한편, 이러한 지지대(108)는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따라 도 3에서 도시된 바와 같은 다양한 형태로 제작될 수도 있다.
위 도 3을 참조하면, 먼저, 위와 같은 지지대(108)는 도 3의 (a)에서와 같이 연결부(109)보다 반경 방향으로 돌출되며(따라서 연결부(109)는 도3에서 보이지 않음), 원주 방향으로 내측면과 외측면이 원통형의 형상을 갖는 중공의 형태로 형성될 수 있다. 또한, 이러한 지지대(108)의 외측면에는 돌기부(200)가 일정 간격으로 이격되게 형성될 수 있고, 이와 같이 형성된 돌기부(200)에 의해 지지대(108)와 제2 보호막(118)간 접촉면을 줄일 수 있어 제2 보호막(118)으로 인가된 외부로부터의 복사열이 극저온 액체 전송관(100)의 내부로 전달되는 복사열 전달율을 최소화시킬 수 있게 된다.
이때, 위와 같이 지지대(108)의 외측면에 제2 보호막(118)과의 접촉면을 줄이기 위해 형성된 돌기부(200)는 도 3의 (a)에서와 같이 단면이 반원형으로 형성될 수도 있으며, 도 3의 (b)에서 도시된 바와 같이 단면이 삼각형으로 형성될 수도 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
다음으로, 위와 같은 지지대(108)는 도 3의 (b)에서와 같이 연결부(109)보다 반경 방향으로 돌출되며, 원주 방향으로 내측면과 외측면이 원통형의 형상을 갖는 중공의 형태로 형성될 수 있다. 또한, 이러한 지지대(108)의 외측면에는 단면이 삼각형 형태인 돌기부(202)가 일정 간격으로 이격되게 형성될 수 있고, 내측면은 참조번호 (204)에서 보여지는 바와 같이 톱니 모양 등으로 형성될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
외측면에 형성된 돌기부(202)에 의해 지지대(108)와 제2 보호막(118)간 접촉면을 줄일 수 있다. 이를 통해 제2 보호막(118)으로 인가된 외부로부터의 복사열이 극저온 액체 전송관(100)의 내부로 전달되는 복사열 전달율을 최소화시킬 수 있게 된다. 또한, 내측면에 형성된 톱니 모양의 형상에 의해 지지대(108)와 제1 보호막(112), 제2 도관(116)간 접촉면을 줄일 수 있다. 이를 통해 외부로부터 제2 단열부(114)내 지지대(108)로 전달된 복사열이 제1 보호막(112) 또는 제2 도관(116)으로 전달되는 복사열 전달율을 최소화시킬 수 있게 된다.
이어, 다시 도 1 및 도 2에 도시된 극저온 액체 전송관(100)의 구성요소에 대한 설명을 계속하기로 한다.
제1 보호막(112)은 제1 단열부(104)의 외부를 감싸도록 형성되는 막으로써 금속 재질 등의 복사열의 전달을 차단시킬 수 있는 재질로 형성될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
또한, 제1 보호막(112)은 냉매가 유동되는 제2 도관(116)과 접촉되도록 구성되어 냉매에 의해 냉각되어 저온 상태를 유지함으로써 외부의 복사열이 내부의 제1 도관(102) 등으로 전달되는 것을 최소화시킬 수 있다.
제2 도관(116)은 액화 질소(Liquid N2: L N2) 등의 제1 보호막(112)을 냉각시키기 위한 냉매가 유동되는 관으로써 원통형의 금속 재질의 관으로 제작될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 또한, 이러한 제2 도관(116)은 냉매의 전송 요구 수량에 따라 대응되는 지름과 두께로 제작될 수 있다. 또한 제2 도관(116)은 냉매에 의해 저온의 상태를 유지하게 되며, 이에 따라 제2 도관(116)과 접촉된 제1 보호막(112)을 냉각시킨다.
또한, 제2 도관(116)은 도 1 및 도 2에서 보여지는 바와 같이 제1 보호막(112)에 접촉되는 두 개의 도관으로 형성하고, 하나의 도관은 냉매가 인입(feed)되는 관으로 사용되도록 하며, 나머지 하나의 도관은 인입된 냉매가 인출(return)되는 관으로 사용되도록 할 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
제2 단열부(114)는 제1 보호막(112)과 제2 도관(116)을 감싸도록 형성되어 외부의 복사열이 제1 보호막(112)과 제2 도관(116)으로 전달되는 것을 방지시키기 위한 구성 요소로써 복사열의 전달을 차단시킬 수 있는 재질로 형성될 수 있다.
또한, 이러한 제2 단열부(114)는 제1 단열부(112)와 마찬가지로 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이 단열부재(106), 지지대(108), 및 파이프(110) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
이때, 제2 단열부(114)내 구성요소인 단열부재(106)와 지지대(108), 파이프(110)의 구성은 제1 단열부(104)의 구성요소와 동일하고 각 구성요소간 연결관계와 기능도 동일하므로 자세한 설명은 생략하기로 한다.
제2 보호막(118)은 제2 단열부(114)의 외부를 감싸도록 형성되는 막으로서 금속 재질 등의 복사열의 전달을 차단시킬 수 있는 재질로 형성될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
중간 이음 부재(120)는 각각의 제1 단열부(104)의 사이의 공간과 각각의 제2 단열부(114)의 사이의 공간에 위치하여 다수의 제1 단열부(104) 또는 제2 단열부(114)를 서로 연결시키면서, 위와 같은 공간을 통해 외부로부터의 복사열이 전송관(100)의 내부로 침투하는 것을 방지시키는 역할을 수행하는 부재일 수 있다.
이러한, 중간 이음 부재(120)는 도 2에서 보여지는 바와 같이 소프트 스페이서 링(soft spacer rings) 등으로 형성될 수 있으며, 도 4에서 보여지는 바와 같이 금속 실린더(metallic cylinders)(400)와 탄성 부재(402)의 구성으로 형성될 수도 있다.
위 도 4를 참조하여, 위 언급된 금속 실린더(400)와 탄성 부재(402)의 구성을 가지는 중간 이음 부재(120)에 대해 상세히 설명하기로 한다.
먼저, 금속 실린더(400)는 인접한 각각의 제1 단열부(104) 또는 제2 단열부(114) 사이의 공간에서 마주보는 각각의 지지대(108)에 조립 가능하며 각각의 지지대(108)에서 해당 공간으로 연장 형성될 수 있다. 이때, 이러한 금속 실린더(400)는 도 4에서 보여지는 바와 같이 지름이 서로 다른 금속 실린더가 마주보는 두 개의 지지대 중 하나에 번갈아 가며 조립될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 즉, 예를 들어 마주보는 두 개의 지지대(108) 중 하나의 지지대(108)에만 금속 실린더(400)가 조립되도록 할 수도 있다.
탄성부재(402)는 금속 실린더(400)의 내부에서 마주보는 각각의 지지대(108) 중 하나의 지지대(108)에 연결되어 나머지 하나의 지지대(108)를 향하도록 설치될 수 있으며, 이러한 탄성 부재(402)는 예를 들어 스프링(spring) 등이 사용될 수 있으나 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
이때, 금속 실린더(400)는 금속 실린더(400)가 조립된 지지대(108)로부터 연장되어 마주보는 지지대(108)로 향하도록 하는 구성을 가지게 될 수 있으며, 마주보는 지지대(108)와 일정 거리가 이격되도록 위치할 수 있다. 이는 극저온 액체 전송관(100)이 복사열이 존재하는 외부에 노출되어 있는 경우 복사열 등에 의해 각각의 제1 단열부(104) 또는 제2 단열부(114)가 팽창할 수 있는 현상을 대비하기 위한 것으로, 위와 같이 금속 실린더(400)가 마주보는 지지대(108)까지 연장되지 않고 일정 거리로 이격되도록 구성하는 경우 각각의 제1 단열부(104) 또는 제2 단열부(114)가 팽창하더라도 인접한 다른 제1 단열부(104) 또는 제2 단열부(114)를 밀어내는 등의 현상을 방지하기 위함이다.
또한, 위와 같은 제1 단열부(104)와 제2 단열부(114)는 도 4의 참조번호 (450)에서 보여지는 바와 같이 제1 도관(102)의 길이에 따라 모듈 형태로 다수개가 연결되도록 제작 가능하다.
즉, 제1 단열부(104)와 제2 단열부(114)는 모듈화하여 제작되는 경우 모듈화된 제1 단열부(104) 또는 제2 단열부(114)를 연속으로 간단하게 연결하여 제1 도관(102)의 길이에 대응되는 길이만큼 연장할 수 있다. 이때, 이와 같이 제1 단열부(104)와 제2 단열부(114)를 모듈화하여 제작하는 경우 제1 단열부(104)와 제2 단열부(114)는 예를 들어 각각 10cm ∼ 5m 정도의 길이로 모듈화하여 제작할 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
또한, 제1 단열부(104)와 제2 단열부(114)를 모듈화하여 제작하는 경우, 도 4의 참조번호 (450)에서 보여지는 바와 같이 각각의 제1 단열부(104) 사이에 위치한 중간 이음 부재(120)와 각각의 제2 단열부(114) 사이에 위치한 중간 이음 부재(120)가 제1 도관(102)의 길이 방향을 따라 서로 어긋나게 배열되도록, 즉 제1 단열부(104)와 제2 단열부(114)가 제1 도관(102)의 길이 방향을 따라 서로 어긋나도록 배치될 수 있다. 이와 같이 제1 단열부(104)와 제2 단열부(114)를 모듈화하여 제작하는 경우, 도 4의 참조번호 (450)에서 보여지는 바와 같이 복사열의 흐름이 방해되고, 제1 도관(102)으로 향하는 열의 전달경로가 최대한 연장되어 제1 도관(102)은 보다 효과적으로 단열된다.
한편, 제1 도관(102)과 제1 보호막(112) 사이의 공간은 도 5에서 보여지는 바와 같이 진공(vacuum) 상태로 유지시키는 것이 바람직하며, 제1 보호막(112)과 제2 보호막(118) 사이의 공간은 진공 상태 또는 특정 밀봉 가스(sealed dry gas)로 채워지도록 하는 것이 바람직하나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
도 6 내지 도 7는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 극저온 액체 전송관의 종단면도를 도시한 것이다.
먼저, 도 6에 도시된 극저온 액체 전송관(600)의 구성을 살펴보면, 위 도 6에 도시된 극저온 액체 전송관의 구성에 있어서는 도 1과 비교하여 극저온 액체가 전송되는 도관이 제1 도관(102)과 제2 도관(102')으로 구성하여 2개가 구성되도록 한 것이다.
즉, 도 6의 도시된 실시예에서는 액화 헬륨 등의 극저온 액체를 전송하기 위한 도관을 2 개 구성함에 따라 각각의 제1 도관(102) 및 제2 도관(102')을 1차로 단열시키기 위한 제1 단열부(104)가 제1 도관(102)과 제2 도관(102')에 모두 필요하게 되어 2 개의 제1 단열부(104)가 구성된다.
또한, 각각의 제1 단열부(104)를 각각 감싸는 2개의 제1 보호막(112)이 형성될 수 있으며, 각각의 제1 보호막(112)에는 각각의 제1 보호막(112)을 냉각시키기 위한 냉매가 유동되는 제3 도관(116)이 접촉하여 형성될 수 있다.
또한, 제1 도관(102)을 감싸는 제1 보호막(112)과, 제2 도관(102')을 감싸는 제1 보호막(112)의 사이에는 도관 사이에 열전달을 방지시키기 위한 열전달 차단막(602)이 설치될 수 있다. 이때, 위와 같이 극저온 액체를 전송하는 관을 2개로 구성하는 경우 제1 도관(102)은 극저온 액체가 인입되는 관으로 사용될 수 있고, 제2 도관(102')은 제1 도관(102)으로 인입된 극저온 액체가 인출되는 관으로 사용될 수 있는데, 이와 같은 경우 제2 도관(102')이 제1 도관(102)에 비해 상대적으로 온도가 높게 되어 열전달이 발생할 수 있으므로, 이러한 열전달 현상을 방지하기 위해 열전달 차단막을 설치할 수 있는 것이다.
다음으로, 도 7에 도시된 극저온 액체 전송관(100)의 구성을 살펴보면, 위 도 7에 도시된 극저온 액체 전송관(100)의 구성에 있어서는 도 6과 마찬가지로, 극저온 액체가 전송되는 도관이 제1 도관(102)과 제2 도관(102')으로 구성하여 2개가 구성되도록 한 것이다. 그러나, 도 6과는 달리, 제1 도관(102)과 제2 도관(102') 사이에 열전달 차단막을 형성시키지 않고, 제1 도관(102)과 제2 도관(102')을 하나의 제1 보호막(112)으로 감싸도록 하고 있다.
즉, 도 7의 도시된 실시예에서는 도 6과 마찬가지로 제1 단열부(104)가 제1 도관(102)과 제2 도관(102')에 모두 필요하게 되어 2 개의 제1 단열부(104)가 구성된다. 또한, 제1 도관(102)과 제2 도관(102')을 모두 감싸도록 형성되는 제1 보호막(112)에는 제1 보호막(112)을 냉각시키기 위한 냉매가 유동되는 제3 도관(116)이 접촉하여 형성될 수 있다.
이때, 위와 같이 극저온 액체를 전송하는 관을 2개로 구성하는 경우 제1 도관(102)은 극저온 액체가 인입되는 관으로 사용될 수 있고, 제2 도관(102')은 제1 도관(102)으로 인입된 극저온 액체가 인출되는 관으로 사용될 수 있는데, 이와 같은 경우 제2 도관(102')이 제1 도관(102)에 비해 상대적으로 온도가 높게 되어 열전달이 발생할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 제1 도관(102)과 제2 도관(102') 사이에 위와 같은 열전달을 차단시키는 것이 필요하게 된다.
이를 위해 도 6에서는 열전달 차단막(602)을 설치한 것을 실시예로 설명한 반면, 도 7에서는 도 6의 실시예에서와는 달리, 제1 도관(102)과 제2 도관(102') 사이에 열전달 차단막(602)을 형성시키지 않고, 대신 제2 도관(102')을 감싸는 제1 단열부(104)내 단열부재(700)를 초절연(superinsulation) 재질의 필름을 사용함으로써, 구성을 보다 간단하게 하면서도 열전달을 차단시킬 수 있도록 한다.
상기한 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따르면 극저온 액체 전송관에 있어서, 극저온 액체가 전송되는 도관을 다층의 필름 구조를 가지면서 각각의 필름층이 계단형태의 지지대에 의해 일정 간격으로 이격된 복수의 단열막을 이용하여 단열시키고, 또한, 이러한 복수의 단열막이 도관을 중심으로 복수의 겹으로 도관을 둘러싸도록 하면서 안쪽 단열막과 바깥쪽 단열막이 도관의 길이 방향을 따라 서로 어긋나도록 배치시킴으로써 외부로부터 전송관의 내부로 전달되는 열의 전달경로를 최대한 연장시켜 보다 효과적인 단열이 가능하도록 한다.
한편 상술한 본 발명의 설명에서는 구체적인 실시예에 관해 설명하였으나, 여러 가지 변형이 본 발명의 범위에서 벗어나지 않고 실시될 수 있다. 따라서 발명의 범위는 설명된 실시 예에 의하여 정할 것이 아니고 특허청구범위에 의해 정하여져야 한다.

  1. 극저온 액체가 유동되는 제1 도관과,
    각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지며 상기 제1 도관을 감싸는 제1 단열부와,
    상기 제1 단열부의 외부를 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 제1 보호막과,
    상기 제1 보호막과 접촉되며, 상기 제1 보호막의 냉각을 위한 냉매가 유동되는 제2 도관과,
    각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지며 상기 제1 보호막과 상기 제2 도관을 감싸는 제2 단열부와,
    상기 제2 단열부의 외부를 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 제2 보호막
    을 포함하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 단열부와 제2 단열부는 각각,
    상기 각각의 필름층이 와선모양으로 감기는 형태로 형성되며, 상기 제1 도관의 길이 방향을 따른 각각의 필름층의 길이가 서로 다른 단열부재와,
    상기 단열부재의 양쪽 끝단에 위치하며, 상기 단열부재내 각각의 필름층을 지지하도록 일측면에 계단형의 연결부가 형성되고, 상기 연결부의 각각의 층에 하나의 필름층이 위치되도록 조립되는 지지대와,
    상기 단열부재의 외부를 감싸면서 상기 단열부재의 양쪽 끝단에 위치한 상기 지지대를 서로 연결시키는 파이프
    를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.

    상기 지지대는,
    상기 단열부재의 각각의 필름층에 상기 연결부의 계단형으로 형성된 각각의 층이 대응되게 끼워지도록 조립되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  4. 제 3 항에 있어서,
    상기 지지대는,
    상기 연결부상 각각의 층의 끝단으로부터 상기 각각의 필름층이 기설정된 거리만큼 이격되어 상기 각각의 층에 위치하도록 상기 단열부재에 조립되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  5. 제 2 항에 있어서,
    상기 지지대는 상기 계단형의 연결부가 형성된 일측면의 반대측면에, 인접하는 도관 또는 보호막과 접촉하는 내부 표면을 포함하며 상기 제1 도관을 향하는 내측면과, 인접하는 도관 또는 보호막과 접촉하는 외부 표면을 포함하며 상기 내측면과 반대방향을 향하는 외측면을 가지며,
    상기 제1 단열부에서는 상기 내부 표면이 제1 도관과 점접촉하고, 상기 외부 표면은 상기 제1 보호막과 점접촉하는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  6. 제 5 항에 있어서,
    상기 지지대는,
    상기 제2 단열부에서는 상기 내부 표면이 제1 보호막 및 제2 도관과 점접촉하고, 상기 외부 표면은 상기 제2 보호막과 점접촉하는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  7. 제 5 항 또는 제 6 항에 있어서,
    상기 지지대는,
    상기 연결부보다 반경방향으로 돌출되며, 원주 방향으로 상기 내측면과 상기 외측면이 다각 형상을 갖는 중공의 형태로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  8. 제 5 항 또는 제 6 항에 있어서,
    상기 지지대의 상기 내측면과 상기 외측면은,
    상기 제1 도관의 길이 방향을 따라 경사면으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  9. 제 5 항에 있어서,
    상기 지지대는,
    상기 연결부보다 반경방향으로 돌출되며, 원주 방향으로 상기 내측면과 상기 외측면이 원통형 형상을 갖는 중공의 형태로 형성되되, 상기 외측면에는 일정 간격으로 이격되게 상기 제2 보호막과의 접촉면을 줄이기 위한 돌기부가 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  10. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 돌기부는,
    단면이 반원형이거나 삼각형인 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  11. 제 9 항에 있어서,
    상기 지지대는,
    상기 내측면이 톱니 모양으로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  12. 제 2 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 단열부와 제2 단열부는,
    상기 제1 도관의 길이에 따라 모듈 형태로 다수개가 연결되도록 제작 가능하며, 각각의 제1 단열부 사이와 각각의 제2 단열부 사이에는 중간 이음 부재가 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  13. 제 12 항에 있어서,
    상기 중간 이음 부재는,
    인접한 상기 각각의 제1 단열부 사이 또는 상기 각각의 제2 단열부 사이의 공간에서 마주보는 각각의 지지대에 조립 가능하며, 상기 각각의 지지대에서 상기 공간으로 연장 형성되는 금속 실린더와,
    상기 금속 실린더의 내부에서 상기 마주보는 각각의 지지대 중 하나의 지지대에 연결되어 나머지 하나의 지지대를 향하는 탄성부재
    를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  14. 제 13 항에 있어서,
    상기 금속 실린더는,
    서로 다른 지름을 가지는 다수의 금속 실린더로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  15. 제 12 항에 있어서,
    상기 중간 이음 부재는,
    인접한 상기 각각의 제1 단열부 사이 또는 상기 각각의 제2 단열부 사이의 공간에 끼워지는 소프트 스페이서 링(soft spacer rings)으로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  16. 제 12 항에 있어서,
    상기 각각의 제1단열부 사이에 위치한 중간 이음 부재와 상기 각각의 제2단열부 사이에 위치한 중간 이음 부재는,
    제 1도관의 길이 방향을 따라 서로 어긋나게 배열되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  17. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 도관은,
    일정 거리만큼 이격되는 2개의 도관으로 형성되며, 하나의 도관은 상기 냉매가 인입되는 관으로 사용되고, 나머지 하나의 도관은 상기 인입된 냉매가 인출되는 관으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  18. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 도관과 제1 보호막 사이의 공간은,
    진공 상태로 유지되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  19. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 보호막과 제2 보호막 사이의 공간은,
    진공 상태로 유지되거나 특정 밀봉 가스로 채워지는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  20. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 극저온 액체는,
    액화 헬륨인 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  21. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 냉매는,
    액화 질소인 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  22. 극저온 액체가 유동되는 제1 도관과,
    상기 제1 도관과 인접하게 배치되며, 상기 극저온 액체가 유동되는 제2 도관과,
    각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지며 상기 제1 도관과 제2 도관을 각각 감싸는 두 개의 제1 단열부와,
    상기 두 개의 제1 단열부의 외부를 각각 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 두 개의 제1 보호막과,
    상기 두 개의 제1 보호막에 각각 접촉되며, 접촉된 제1 보호막의 냉각을 위한 냉매가 유동되는 제3 도관과,
    각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지며 상기 제1 보호막과 상기 제3 도관을 감싸는 제2 단열부와,
    상기 제2 단열부의 외부를 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 제2 보호막
    을 포함하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  23. 제 22 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 도관과 제2 도관의 사이에는,
    열전달을 방지시키는 열전달 차단막이 설치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  24. 제 22 항에 있어서,
    상기 제3 도관은,
    일정 거리만큼 이격되는 2개의 도관으로 형성되며, 하나의 도관은 상기 냉매가 인입되는 관으로 사용되고, 나머지 하나의 도관은 상기 인입된 냉매가 인출되는 관으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  25. 제 22 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 도관은, 상기 극저온 액체가 인입되는 관으로 사용되고, 상기 제2 도관은 상기 제2 도관으로 인입된 상기 극저온 액체가 인출되는 관으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  26. 극저온 액체가 유동되는 제1 도관과,
    상기 제1 도관과 인접하게 배치되며, 상기 극저온 액체가 유동되는 제2 도관과,
    각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지며 상기 제1 도관과 제2 도관을 각각 감싸는 두 개의 제1 단열부와,
    상기 두 개의 제1 단열부의 외부를 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 제1 보호막과,
    상기 제1 보호막에 접촉되며, 상기 제1 보호막의 냉각을 위한 냉매가 유동되는 제3 도관과,
    각각의 필름층이 일정 거리만큼 서로 이격된 다층의 필름 구조를 가지며 상기 제1 보호막과 상기 제3 도관을 감싸는 제2 단열부와,
    상기 제2 단열부의 외부를 감싸도록 기설정된 두께와 지름으로 형성되는 제2 보호막
    을 포함하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  27. 제 26 항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 도관은, 상기 극저온 액체가 인입되는 관으로 사용되고, 상기 제2 도관은 상기 제2 도관으로 인입된 상기 극저온 액체가 인출되는 관으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
  28. 제 27 항에 있어서,
    상기 제2 도관을 감싸는 제1 단열부는,
    내부에 다층의 필름 구조로 형성되는 단열부재를 포함하며, 상기 단열부재는 초절연(superinsulation) 재질로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 극저온 액체 전송관.
