Abstract

The present invention relates to a membrane-electrode assembly for a fuel cell, the membrane-electrode assembly comprising: an anode electrode including an anode electrode substrate and an anode catalyst layer formed on the anode electrode substrate; a cathode electrode disposed opposite the anode electrode and including a cathode electrode substrate and a cathode catalyst layer formed on the cathode electrode substrate; and a polymer electrolyte membrane disposed between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode, wherein the current density of a 0.6V standard and in reversal operating conditions is 0.2A/cm2 or less. An anode catalyst for a fuel cell in which a highly active hydrogen oxidation reaction occurs but an oxygen reduction reaction is inhibited, can be provided.
