DEVICE FOR CLEANING DOMESTIC ANIMALS' PAWS Technical Field
The present invention relates to a device used with a view to cleaning the paws of domestic animals, which ensures easy cleaning of paws of such animals thanks to a mechanism on it without the need for use of a brush by causing the liquid inside it to make a spiral cycle movement.
The present invention more specifically relates to a simple portable device for cleaning paws of domestic animals especially such as cats and dogs kept at homes, which consists of chambers ensuring easy cleaning of paws of such animals becoming dirty due to various reasons in their strolling and/or in home environment by use of the liquid inside it.
Known Status of the Technique
People keep pets especially such as dogs and cats in their homes increasingly today.
The requirement for cleaning the paws of animals kept at homes such as dogs and cats that may stroll and cause to be strolled freely in outdoor environment upon their paws becoming dirty due to various reasons prior to entering the homes or other location may cause various hardships.
The difference among paws of animals by their types and the fact that they become dirty during their strolling or relieving themselves betray various cleaning hardships.
The cleaning of paws of pets such as dogs and/or cats kept at homes at which there are children is of prime importance in terms of health after such domestic animals relieving themselves or their strolling in outdoor environments.
The fact that in-house strolling of pets cannot be restricted at all times and they may stroll easily in kitchens, bathrooms, toilets and rooms may create serious hygiene problems.
Today, the cleaning of paws of pets is carried out using specifically produced cleaning kerchiefs or wet wipes.
The fact that pets may react against these kinds of cleaning materials and it is difficult to keep them at fixed position and cleaning procedure cannot be completed fully and the requirement that muds and similar remnants are cleaned more than once for ensuring complete cleaning of their paws may pose serious hygiene and cleaning problems. Recently, electronic cleaning devices have been developed and used for this purpose.
Although these kinds of devices bring advantages in terms of health, they have complex structures and pose hardships in their use.
The application for patent with number TR2011/08427 is an application developed for these types of applications.
In such application, the device consists of an exterior body, charging unit, motor, clean water container, water pump, aspiration plug, and carriage pipe, brushes settled in various forms and closing mechanism as well as power supply discharge chambers.
For the system, energy has been supplied to all movable parts by means of power supply and cleaning has been tried to be done by activation of brushes by means of the power taken from the motor and by pumping water. Such technique is extremely complex with its slow parts and also needing energy for cleaning process.
Besides, the fact that brush has been used and the sizes of paws of domestic animals are not in the same standards has prevented the use of the device for every kind of animal and the device itself has a feature which may cause pets to get injured and hurt due to the fact that it contains parts driven due to motor power during uncontrolled usage. Moreover, the brushes may worsen a cut having arisen even more while the pets are strolling or during activity of animals on the road. A tiny wound may turn into a worse wound. The device is usable for paws in certain sizes. Besides, their usage and carriage create problems due to their weight.
Again, in the system with application number WO2006091643, a dismountable apparatus has been included in the container for cleaning the paws of pets and an opening containing a side wall and a cleaning platform have been placed and a space has been formed between said container and its platform as well as said cleaning chamber and a cover has been applied, which contains brush comprising basically said gap with side wall mounted.
The fact that every animal does not have paws in the same size, and the fact that brush is used especially for larger pawed animals and the brush is driven using motor power and the brushes are narrow and are placed so that they will form friction for complete cleaning the paws may cause injuries in pets and they are inefficient and slow have caused some additional problems to arise in animals when carrying out cleaning of their paws. These kinds of certain devices have been adapted so that they will nestle onto the paw and have been insufficient for solution to the problems mentioned above since it is troublesome to use them. The existing systems have been based upon the cleaning produced with the principle of ensuring the cleaning completely.
In order for these mechanisms to be able to provide benefits, it is required that they minimize the harms incurred by animals and are able to be used easily with their simple and light mechanism.
The fact that existing systems' mechanisms have heavy bodies by their nature and the fact that brushes are used for cleaning purposes and these cause injuries in pets and are unusable for every size of paws create certain disadvantages.
Therefore, a necessity comes into existence for producing more effective, flexible, lighter and safer apparatuses and devices using minimum parts.
When one examines the applications available in the existing technique and the applications in relation to the subject, solutions with mixed and costly systems have been produced with the aim at ensuring cleaning.
What is important in devices used for cleaning the paws of pets is the simplicity and lightness of the elements used in the mechanism with a view to ensuring the realization of easy process and carrying and using the device easily for user while performing the cleaning procedure.
At this point, the present invention is a device with features that may respond to any requirements with its mechanism for cleaning the paws of pets. In conclusion, examining all prior technical documents, no one has come across a system with light and simple use, usable in every size of paws of pets, having no brushes, which is durable, and also enables effective cleaning of paws while being produced with lower costs enabling mass production. The subject invention is related to the device (10) for cleaning the paws of pets especially such as cats and dogs, which uses the swirl effect coming into existence as a result of rotation or swirling movement formed with the force transmitted to the liquid added inside it during the procedure of cleaning. The cleaning procedure is achieved by formation of a spiral movement in the liquid added inside the device without using any brushes.
By means of a simple mechanism, the cleaning is achieved with the swirl effect formed by the liquid inside the device by ensuring the swivel through the rotation body (40) inside the interior chamber (30).
The invention contains a main body (20) betraying the closed circuit operation of the system and preventing the involuntary egress of liquids and remnants inside it, an interior chamber (30) with blades (90) being at least one unit on the lower part, which may be swiveled inside the said main body (20) and having a rotation body (40), used also for the swirl effect, the gearwheel (50) on through force is transmitted, which enables the single rotation of the said interior chamber (30), and the radula (40.1) connected to it, a lock bolt (40.3) and a housing (40.4) which are contained by a rotation body (40), a handle (20.1) over which applying force manually is possible, which is situated on the device, a level arm (70) which may move back and forth with a handgrip over the handle (20.1), threaded rod (60) pushed used with application of pressure using the level arm (70) and connected to the level arm (70), the gearwheel (50) transforming the movement coming into existence as connected to said threaded rod (60) into a circular movement and an interstitial space (100) enabling the easy swivel of the said interior chamber (30) formed between the interior chamber (30) and main body (20).
As shall be seen from Figure 1, the device for cleaning paws which is the subject of the invention (10) consists of the main body (20) containing the handle (20.1) and lower cover (20.2) ensuring the operation of the device in a closed and protected way, on which parts are positioned. The entire system operates as a fully closed circuit on the main body (20) with its components consisting of lower cover (20.2) and a handle (20.1). While the handle (20.1) provides convenience for carriage of the device, it also harbors the level arm (70) onto which the necessary force is to be applied for rotation of the system.
The system runs with manual force. The linear movement applied manually to the level arm (70) is transmitted to the threaded rod (60) by means of the threads and the linear movement of gearwheels (50) connected to said threaded rod (60) is transformed into circular movement by means of the forward movement of the threaded rod (60) and the interior chamber (30) to which gearwheel (50) is connected is transmitted to the rotation body (40) fixed on the lower part of the system.
The springs (80) betray the level arm (70) entering the inside with application of pressure reverting to its previous position with withdrawal of the pressure behind the level arm (70).
The level arm (70) has been connected to the threaded rod (60) in the interior part and the threaded rod (60) has been ensured to be pushed forward with squeeze of the level arm (70).
The threaded rod (60) pushed forward rotates the gearwheel (50) to which it is connected on the other end. Thanks to this, the threaded rod (60) caused to be moved linearly rotates the gearwheel (50) to which it is connected by means of the threads on it and ensures the linear movement to be transformed into circular movement.
The gearwheel (50) may be positioned one or more according to the size of the main body (20).
For the purpose of increasing the strength of the force applied, these have been positioned as two units connected to each other in the system which is the subject of the invention.
The force transformed into circular movement with gearwheels (50) is transmitted to the rotation body (40) positioned on the other side of the gearwheel (50) and to the radula (40.1) positioned on the said rotation body (40).
The radula (40.1) has been fixed onto the rotation body (40). The radula (40.1) rotates with the force transmitted and, thanks to this; it is ensured that the entire rotation body (40) is moved circularly.
For the spiral movement to be formed healthily and at sufficient level, the circular movement is required to be in a single direction. For this purpose, lock bolt (40.3) has been positioned onto the edge part of the radula (40.1) fixed on the rotation body. The housings (40.4) in the interior part of the rotation body (40) have been formed along the circular line. The lock bolt (40.3) indicated in detail on Figure 6 travels on such housings (40.4). For the purpose of travelling in a single direction, the housings (40.4) allow for a single travel and the travel to opposite direction has been prevented. The lock bolt (40.3) is inserted to the housings (40.4) to prevent the rotation in the undesired direction. In this case, the radula (40.1) rotates in idle and prevents the movement from being transmitted to the interior chamber (30) in the opposite direction. For the purpose of obtaining the swirl effect formed by means of the spiral movement healthily, it has been ensured that the interior chamber (30) is returned in the single direction and the force applied is transmitted to the interior chamber (30) in the single direction.
The lock bolt (40.3) and the radula (40.1) have been fixed on the edge part. It is positioned as only one unit, but also may be placed to the edge of the other radula (40.1).
It has been ensured that the interior chamber (30) positioned is swiveled in the single direction desired so that an interstitial space (100) is to be formed in the interior part of the main body (20) with the rotation force in a single direction transmitted to the rotation body (20).
The liquid added to the interior chamber (30) forms a swirl effect with rotation and ensures the cleaning of deposits and dirt on paws with the centrifugal force. The deposits and dirt removed from the paw are transmitted to the bottom part of the interior chamber (30) with the centrifugal force of the system.
As the continuity of the movement is achieved, it has been ensured that the deposits and dirt removed from the paw remain at the bottom part of the interior chamber (30).
When the movement is left, the deposits and dirt precipitate to the bottom part of the interior chamber (30) with the effect of the weights of the deposits and dirt and in spite of the fact that they disperse a little; they are accumulated again by being transmitted to the lower part with the start of the movement.
Besides, the depth of the bottom part of the interior chamber (30) has been enhanced in order to ensure the easy formation and accumulation of the deposit.
Blades (90) have been positioned to the lower part of the interior chamber (30) in order to enhance the swirl effect.
The blades (90) in the interior chamber (30) have been designed with the purpose of helping the swirl effect of water only and been made of soft material and do not damage in case of any contact or touch.
It has been ensured that it is adjusted manually according to the quantity of dirt and not any harmful effect of over force or rotation has remained thanks to the non-existence of any apparatus other than liquid in terms of contact to the paw of domestic animals. Thanks to the lock bolt (40.3), a single way movement has been ensured.
The blades (90) positioned in the interior chamber (30) ensure the swirl effect to be enhanced. At the same time, the centrifugal effect is increased to ensure that deposits and remnants are accumulated on the lower part.
The solid objects obtained during the cleaning process are pushed toward the center as a result of the force coming into existence. The dirt and deposits coming into existence accumulate in the bottom with the effect of the spiral rotation.
Thanks to this, it has been ensured that cleaning other paws is possible without the replacement of the water inside the chamber after the cleaning of the first paw.
The paws of domestic animals are cleaned simply with the centrifugal and swirl effect created by the system and it is ensured that the injuries are prevented since no friction arises as a result of brushes and other irritating materials not being used. Besides, the system allows for cleaning the paws of wider sizes.
The interior chamber (30) indicated in Figures 3 and 5 is of the structure to allow for the liquid to form a swirl effect. Thanks to the spiral rotation, it has been ensured that dirt and deposits are accumulated in the bottom thanks to which the requirement for the liquid to be replaced inside the chamber has been eliminated in terms of cleaning later paws after the first cleaning.
This situation ensures the saving of time and also allows for convenience for use.
For the purpose of the liquid inside the interior chamber (30) forming a spiral movement, the need for brush and other additional apparatuses has been eliminated and it has been ensured that the paw of the animal to be cleaned incurring any damage is prevented.
As no electronic mechanism or motor power is used, it has been ensured that undesired or uncontrolled force is prevented and the risk of animals' paws incurring damages and the risk of failure of the system due to liquid leakage and similar causes have been eliminated since the system does not contain any electronic elements.
In order to ensure the swivel of the interior chamber (30), it has been connected onto the lower cover (80) under the lower part of the main body (20) and an interstitial space (100) to allow for its rotation has been formed.
Another usage of the system may be applied by changing the transmission lines on the arm without replacement of the lower cover in the main body and interior chamber. Another structuring of the system may be ensured with the system transmitted and 2 transmission rods (101) and transmission wheels (103) on Figure 8.
The weighting lever (102) connected to the springs (80) again on the rear part of the level arm (70) has been positioned. Transmission wheels (103) have been placed onto the upper part of said weighting lever (102). The weighting lever (102) has been fixed from the wheel center to the main body (20) so that it shall form a rotation axis.
When pressure is applied to the level arm (70), the weighting lever (102) is pushed backwardly and the transmission wheel (103) positioned on the said weighting lever (102) swivels and pushes the transmission rod (101) downwardly.
The transmission rod (101) rotates the other transmission wheel (103) positioned in the lower part with its downward movement and said transmission wheel (103) pushes the transmission rod (101) on the other end forward laterally.
The movement is transmitted to the interior chamber (30) with the transmission rod (101) connected to the rotation body (40) positioned in the lower part of the interior chamber (30). With removal of the pressure, the transmission wheels (103) withdraw the entire mechanism during the backward movement and ensure that the movement is repeated.
Based on all these expressed, the device for cleaning paws (10) which is the subject of the invention may be used swiftly under any conditions and may be cleaned easily thanks to its simple assembly.
The edge parts of all visible and movable parts have been designed as round-edge thanks to which it has been ensured that the impacts to be able to arise due to the unwanted rotation of the device are prevented.
The device may be used with water with cleaning purposes and it may also be used with other detergents with cleaning purposes. The device applies rotation force to the liquid added inside it and ensures cleaning thanks to the swirl obtained as a result of such rotation. Therefore, any kinds of liquid with cleaning purposes may be used easily inside the device. The liquid becoming dirty may be replaced readily and cleaning process of paws may be carried out easily and within the short period of time.
