Abstract
The present invention relates to the method and system for cost free wired/wireless telephony which enables a back end intervention through a specialised communication platform system (YPAY). The said YPAY encompasses an innovative platform that flags the user on the operator's network enabling the user to call a recipient from his phone book. YPAY uses third party approved intervention for either advertisement services or conimunication messages including those originating from government and local bodies as a barter for the calls made by the user/initiator and provides an alternative revenue model to the facility provider. YPAY technology also provides a dual proxy billing platform to the operator's billing platform enabling the user/initiator to continue the call even after the preconfigured free minute and sends periodic CDRs to the operator, informing about the status of the call, according to the operators' billing plan.
Description
COMPLETE SPECIFICATION
Field of invention:
The invention relates to a communication system between two or multiple user(s) and in particular a method for customizing a communication initiation from a wireless or wired communication facility into a specified communication platform with unique features, facilities and functions for making a free outbound call.
Background of Invention:
Present day communication is by and large through terminals^provided by facilitators of landline and mobile telephony through wire and wireless based on the commercial rates of such service providers. Communication terminals such as mobile phones or landline terminals are used to make outbound calls and receive inbound calls where the outbound call is charged by the facilitator or on his behalf and thus it is the revenue source for the facilitator. Even as the use spreads across every section, the rates are stifled by payment capacities of the user of such facility operators.
The method and process disclosed herein seeks to introduce an interventionary platform that enables the service provider to install and provide the facility without expense to the users at both end of the communication. The intervening platform shall have characteristics of alternajjve revenue models and also creation of a platform that enables communication to the user(s) as in lieu of barter for the call made.
Object of the Invention:
The object of the invention is to provide a system and method for customizing the outbound call into making a free phone service or toll free to overcome the shortcomings of the existing two-way communication platform. Another object of the invention is to provide a sensitive platform for vendors/advertisers/ service providers to reach out to and lay bare their wares.
The present module is to present an intervention during the two-way communication with an advertisement time and connected technological capacities that seek to balance user convenience, receiver advantage and third party contributions.
The method comprises of various technologically identified sensitive and innovative steps added in the chain through the intervention of the platform hardware to make outbound attempt at oral communication non metered. The method also offers an alternative revenue model to the facility provider by facilitating the automated intervening platform that can be used for commercial or even civic or social purposes- for advertisement or communication as a barter for the calls made. s.
Brief Description of Prior Art:
The communication between wired and/or wireless communication systems is through facility providers. The entire facility is around the revenue model of metering the user calls or the number of times the user seeks the facility and the duration of such facility. Some value additions are given as part of the larger revenue model; while some value additions are charged.
In all cases the technology provides for the metering of the incidence of use and duration of such facility. Revenue models of the facility providers are based on such data. The facility back end is thus tech enabled to monitor the times and time of duration of use of such facility. ^
Technology as of now has thus two major facets: the technology that enables a verbal communication between the initiator and the recipient(s) and the other is the metering of such use and the duration of such use that helps the facilitator to implement the revenue model and the rates of agreed payment or as required by statutory or price regulatory authorities.
The existing platform is a two way communication arid it does not provide for the intervention of a third party in the communication process. It thus inhibits construction of any alternate platform for shifting the burden of payment and also
inhibits the facility provider to collect as revenue, based entirely on user strike rate. « ■
Brief Description of the Drawing:
Figure 1 describes the data flow between the user, communication platform and the recipient. It shows how the advertisements or promotional content or notifications are served, user and recipient getting connecting through the communication platform, sending information to the user if the recipient's phone is busy or engaged. It also shows the process in which the call can be extended by the user, as per his data plan, beyond the preconfigured minutes and role of YPAY as a proxy billing platform that sends periodic CDRs to the operator, informing about the status of the call. It also shows the data flow where the communication platform asks the user to store the recipient's number as a favourite and storing the action by the user in the communication platform. It also shows the data flow between the Communication server and Ad server and the web server and operator.
Figure 2 explains the data flow from the user to the Communication platform to the recipient while showing the dataflow in the various components of the communication platform.
Detailed Description of the Invention: ,M
The present invention relates to the method and system (YPAY) that enables back end intervention through a specialised communication platform (1) tuned to defined algorithms designed to intervene at every intended attempt of initiator of a communication using wireless or wired telephony or the like with independent voice messages. Such voice messages can be messages of advertisements meant as the alternative revenue model to the facility provider. This also provides an hitherto unavailable platform and technology for third party approved intervention for either selling wares and services or communication messages including those originating from government and local bodies during
times of emergencies or tax and other municipal authorities informing dated reminders of payments etc. *
The description herein describes the best method of the invention. To establish a communication through the YPAY system, the user/initiator of the communication has to first register to the communication platform. The registration and profiling information of the user/initiator (2) is acquired by the web server (3) of the communication platform, through the call receiving engine (4) when the user/initiator calls for the first time to the platform. The user data is stored in the user profiling database (5) for further retrieval and a confirmation message is sent to the user confirming the registration on the platform. YPAY's innovative and advanced architecture allows it to identify the customer and flag the customer in the operator's network, thereby allowing the customer to directly call from his address book.
Once registered, the user/initiator is prompted with a welcome message through the intervention of text to voice conversion methodology/software and conveys voice based commercials obtained from the advertisement engine (6) with the identified name every time the user/initiator calls the recipient (7). The commercial audio advertisements act as a barter for calls made through the specified communication platform and act as the alternative revenue for the service provider.
The user is then transferred to the operator's network via the call connecting engine (8). The communication platform chejcjcs and notifies the user regarding the availability of the recipient. If the recipient is available, the user obtains free talk time on the facility based on option of time for listening to voice messages and/or commercials of specified variety engineered on recipient characteristics juxtaposition with search engines of the personal choice and schedule (9) of the user/initiator for this purpose. The communication platform also prompts the user whether the recipient be stored as a favourite number for speed dialling in the future.
Another embodiment of the invention is the system of dual billing in which YPAY provides a system of dual billing in which YPAY provides a proxy
billing platform (10) to the operator's billing platform. This proxy billing platform allows the customer to continue the call even post the preconfigured frte minute according to the user's data plan and also sends periodic call data rates (CDRs) to the operator, informing about the status of the call.
The facility is sensitive to provide to the user a non-commercial use of the facility and to introduce an innovative platform for communication.
Many modifications and other embodiments of the inventions set forth herein will come to mind to one skilled in the art to which these inventions pertain having the benefit of the teachings presented in the foregoing descriptions and the associated drawings. Therefore, it is to be understood that the inventions are not to be limited to the specific examples of the embodiments disclosed and that modifications and other embodiments are intended to be included within the scope of the appended claims. Although specific terms are employed herein, they are used in a generic and descriptive sense only and not for purposes of limitation.
