  • Figs. 1a and 2a illustrate another structural feature of this invention. Facing magnets 17 and 17 sit within facing central recesses in respective pendant halves 10 and 12. The outer surfaces of magnets 17 and 17 are flush with the surrounding flat surfaces of the matching inside surfaces 40 and 42 on the "insides" of the matching halves 10 and 12. These inside surfaces are flat including the magnets 17 and 17 and may have a flat polished finish allowing each pendant half to be a pendant by itself with the surfaces 40 and 42 having finished polished jewelry appearances. Therefore, each matching half 10 and 12 may be reversible itself when worn as a pendant half and the pendant halves 10 and 12 may be dividable to be worn by two people.
  • Figs. 3a-3c have had their structural elements described above with reference to the same reference numerals describing magnets 17 and 1 1 and surrounding inside surfaces 40 and 42.

  • the present invention is different from both Severs and the German reference insofar as the front and rear jewelry elements are of the same silhouette and appear to be the same jewelry design to match each other. Additionally, the present invention distinguishes from Fujimoto in that the recess and lip are just inside the outer perimeter, the bails are on top of the pendant half in facing and spaced relation and each pendant half has a silhouette for decorative function.
  • the present invention comprises mating silhouette fronts and backs so that each half is half of an entire whole jewelry article, such as a heart, so that one could have the front and back halves of hearts or of any other design.
  • the consumer has the ability to change interchangeable pendant halves so long as the silhouettes of each match so that the consumer can create her/his own front/back combination and/or wear each half as a pendant by itself because of the polished jewelry finish of the inside surfaces 40 and 42.
  • the heart shaped pendant of this invention shown in Figs. 2a-2e is formed from two equally sized front and back pendant halves.
  • Figs. 2d and 2e show the inside 40 of one half pendant 12 and the outside 26 of the other pendant half 10.
