Abstract

Description

냉수생성 탱크 및 이를 구비하는 냉수기
본 발명은 열교환에 의해 냉수를 만들기 위한 냉수생성 탱크 및 이를 구비하는 냉수기에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 빙축열 방식을 이용하여 냉수를 생성하는 냉수생성 탱크 및 이를 구비하는 냉수기에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 냉수기는 수도전이나 생수통으로부터 공급된 물을 냉각시켜 사용자에게 제공하는 장치이다. 이러한 냉수기는 정수기, 탄산수기, 냉온수기 등 저온의 음용수 생성을 위해 주로 설치되지만, 냉수의 생성이 필요한 다양한 분야에 이용될 수 있다.
냉수를 생성하는 방식으로는 냉수탱크를 사용하여 냉수탱크에 수용된 물을 직접 냉각하는 직접 냉각방식과, 얼음이나 저온 유체와의 열교환을 이용하여 냉수를 생성하는 빙축열 방식으로 구분할 수 있다.
여기서, 빙축열 방식은 빙축탱크 내부에 수용된 차가운 열전달 물질과 빙축탱크 내부에 설치된 열교환관(냉수관)을 통과하는 물 사이의 열교환을 통하여 냉수를 생성한다.
이를 위하여, 종래의 빙축식(빙축열 방식) 냉각시스템은 빙축탱크에 빙축액이 채워져 있고, 빙축액을 냉각하거나 얼음으로 만들기 위하여 냉각유닛과 연결된 냉매관(냉각관)과, 이러한 냉매관에 의해 온도가 낮아진 빙축액과 열교환하여 물을 냉수로 만들기 위한 열교환관을 구비한다.
냉매관을 흐르는 저온의 냉매에 의해 냉매관 주위에 얼음이 일정 두께로 형성되고, 이러한 과정 동안 빙축액이 순환되면서 빙축액의 온도를 균일하게 저하시키게 된다. 한편, 빙축액의 온도가 일정값 이하가 되면 냉매관과 연결된 냉각유닛(압축기)의 작동이 중단된다.
냉수의 추출이 이루어지는 경우 열교환관의 내부를 흐르는 물이 빙축액과 열교환하면서 냉각되고, 열교환으로 인해 온도가 상승된 빙축액은 냉매관 주변의 얼음을 녹이면서 잠열에 의해 온도가 낮아지게 된다.
열교환 과정에서는 열교환관 주변의 빙축액이 열교환에 의해 온도가 상승하게 되므로, 빙축액의 순환이 충분히 일어나야만 열교환관을 통한 냉수생성이 원활하게 이루어질 수 있다.
그러나, 종래의 빙축식 냉각시스템은 빙축액의 순환(대류)을 위하여 순환펌프를 사용하기는 하지만 빙축액의 순환이 원활하게 이루어지는 구조가 아니어서 충분한 냉각효율을 달성하지 못한다는 문제점이 있다.

본 발명은 상기와 같은 종래기술의 문제점 중 적어도 일부를 해결하고자 안출된 것으로, 냉각효율을 극대화하여 저온의 냉수를 다량 추출할 수 있는 냉수생성 탱크 및 이를 구비하는 냉수기를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
또한, 본 발명은 일 측면으로서, 냉각효율을 극대화할 수 있는 구조를 갖는 냉수생성 탱크 및 이를 구비하는 냉수기를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
그리고, 본 발명은 일 측면으로서, 빙축액에 의한 결로 발생을 최소화할 수 있는 냉수생성 탱크 및 이를 구비하는 냉수기를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 냉수생성 탱크는, 상기 탱크몸체의 내부에 수용된 빙축액을 순환시키는 순환부;를 추가로 포함할 수 있다.
상기 냉수생성부는 상기 냉각관의 둘레를 감싸는 형태로 상기 탱크몸체의 내부에 설치될 수 있다. 그리고, 상기 순환부는 상기 냉각관에서 상기 냉수생성부 방향으로 빙축액을 분사하도록 구성될 수 있다.
또한, 상기 냉각관은 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루며, 상기 열교환관은 상기 냉각관의 둘레를 감싸는 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루는 구조를 가질 수 있다.
이때, 상기 열교환관의 길이방향 높이는 상기 냉각관이 형성하는 나선의 직경보다 크게 구성될 수 있다. 일 예로서, 상기 열교환관의 길이방향 높이는 상기 냉각관이 형성하는 나선의 직경의 1.5배 이상 10배 이하가 될 수 있다.

또한, 상기 냉수생성부는 상기 단위 열교환관 유닛을 복수 개 연결하여 전체적으로 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루도록 구성될 수 있다.
그리고, 상기 냉수생성부는 상기 단위 열교환관 유닛을 복수 개 연결하여 전체적으로 지그재그 형상을 이룰 수 있다.
또한, 상기 냉수생성부는, 상기 단위 열교환관 유닛을 복수 개 연결하여 전체적으로 지그재그 형상을 이루는 단위층을, 상기 냉각관의 상측 또는 하측에 배열하여 복수의 층을 이루도록 구성될 수 있다.
한편, 상기 핀 부재는 사각형 단면 또는 원형, 타원형 단면을 가질 수 있으며, 알루미늄 또는 스테인레스 스틸를 포함하는 재질로 형성될 수 있다.
또한, 상기 핀 부재는 상기 냉각관과 인접한 부분의 폭이 핀 부재의 높이보다 길게 형성되어 냉각관 측으로 연장된 구조를 가질 수도 있다.
그리고, 상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관의 외주면으로부터 돌출된 길이가 상기 열교환관의 외경보다 크게 구성될 수 있다. 이때, 상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관의 외주면으로부터 돌출된 길이가 상기 열교환관의 외경의 5배 이하일 수 있다.
또한, 상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관의 중심으로부터 돌출된 길이가 상기 냉각관과 열교환관의 중심 사이 거리의 1/3 이상일 수 있다.
그리고, 상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관 측을 향한 방향의 폭이 이에 수직인 방향의 폭보다 크게 형성될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 다른 측면으로서, 전술한 냉수생성 탱크; 상기 탱크몸체에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하도록 상기 냉각관과 연결된 냉각유닛; 및 상기 냉수생성부에서 생성된 냉수를 추출하기 위해 개폐되는 출수부;를 포함하는 냉수기를 제공한다.
상기 냉각유닛은 압축기, 응축기, 팽창기를 구비하는 냉각 사이클을 형성하며, 상기 냉각관은 냉각 사이클의 증발기에 대응될 수 있다.
그리고, 본 발명의 다른 측면에 의한 냉수기는, 상기 탱크몸체에 수용된 빙축액의 온도와 상기 냉각관에 형성되는 얼음의 크기 중 적어도 하나를 측정하도록 구비되는 센서부; 및 상기 센서부에서 측정된 값을 이용하여 상기 냉각유닛 및/또는 순환부의 구동을 제어하는 제어부;를 추가로 포함할 수 있다.
이러한 제어부는 상기 출수부에서 출수신호가 입력되면 상기 순환부를 제어하여 빙축액을 순환시키도록 구성될 수 있다.
한편, 상기 탱크몸체에 수용된 빙축액은 어는점이 0℃ 보다 낮은 수용액인 으로 구성될 수 있다.
이러한 구성을 갖는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 냉수생성부에 구비되는 열교환관의 외주면에 확장부재(핀 부재)를 설치함으로써 빙축액과 열교환관을 흐르는 물 사이의 열교환 효율을 현저히 상승시킬 수 있다는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 냉각관을 둘러싸는 형태로 냉수생성부를 배치함으로써, 및/또는 냉각관에서 냉수생성부 방향으로 빙축액을 분사함으로써, 냉각관에 형성된 얼음의 잠열을 최대한 활용하여 냉수생성부와 충분한 열교환을 이룰 수 있게 된다.
그리고, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 냉수생성부에 구비되는 열교환관의 외주면에 얼음접촉부재(핀 부재)를 설치하고 얼음접촉부재가 냉각관에 형성된 얼음과 접촉하도록 함으로써, 열교환관을 흐르는 물이 냉각관의 둘레에 형성된 얼음과 전도에 의한 열교환을 함으로써 열교환 효율을 현저히 상승시킬 수 있다는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 냉각관을 둘러싸는 형태로 냉수생성부를 배치하고 냉각관에 형성된 얼음의 냉기를 전도에 의해 열교환관 내부를 흐르는 물에 전달함으로써 탱크몸체 내부에 수용된 빙축액의 축열량을 충분하게 그리고 효과적으로 사용함으로써 냉수생성 효율이 증가한다는 효과를 얻을 수 있게 된다.
그리고, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면 얼음과 얼음접촉부재의 직접 전도에 의한 열전달을 구현하고 있으므로 빙축액의 전체 체적을 적게 하는 것이 가능하게 된다. 또한, 빠른 열교환과 높은 열교환 효율로 인하여 열교환관의 길이를 짧게 하는 것이 가능해지므로 열교환관의 길이 증대에 따른 유량 감소도 최소화할 수 있다는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
이외에도, 본 발명은 특허청구범위 및 상세한 설명에 기재된 다양한 구조적 특징을 통하여 냉각효율을 극대화함으로써 일정 온도 이하의 냉수를 다량 추출할 수 있다는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
그리고, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 열교환관을 냉각관의 둘레에 배치하므로 열교환관이 형성하는 나선의 직경이 커지고 이로 인해 종래와 동일한 길이의 열교환관을 사용하더라도 열교환관의 두께를 얇게 할 수 있어 열교환관 내부를 흐르는 물과 빙축액 사이의 열교환 효율이 상승하게 된다. 즉, 종래의 열교환관은 탱크몸체 내부의 정해진 작은 공간 상에서 일정 길이 이상의 열교환관을 확보하기 위하여 열교환관의 벤딩(bending) 각도를 크게 하여야 하지만, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면 탱크몸체 내부의 공간을 충분히 활용할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 열교환관이 형성하는 나선의 직경이 커지므로 벤딩각도가 작아져 종래에 비해 상대적으로 얇은 두께의 열교환관을 형성하는 것이 가능해진다.
또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 펌핑부재를 탱크몸체의 내부에 수용함으로써 펌핑부재에 결로가 발생하는 현상을 방지하는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
그리고, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따라 어는점이 0℃보다 낮은 수용액을 사용하는 경우, 동일체적의 빙축액을 기준으로 할 때, 냉각효율을 더욱 높일 수 있게 된다.

이하, 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 실시 형태들을 설명한다. 그러나, 본 발명의 실시형태는 여러 가지 다른 형태로 변형될 수 있으며, 본 발명의 범위가 이하 설명하는 실시 형태로 한정되는 것은 아니다. 또한, 본 발명의 실시형태는 당해 기술분야에서 평균적인 지식을 가진 자에게 본 발명을 더욱 완전하게 설명하기 위해서 제공되는 것이다. 도면에서 요소들의 형상 및 크기 등은 보다 명확한 설명을 위해 과장될 수 있다.
또한, 본 명세서에서 단수의 표현은 문맥상 명백하게 다르게 뜻하지 않는 한, 복수의 표현을 포함한다.
본 명세서에서 도 1 내지 도 29에 일 예로서 도시된 냉수기(200)는 통상의 정수기뿐만 아니라, 냉온수기, 탄산수 등의 기능수 생성을 위한 기능수기 등 각종 수처리기에 사용될 수 있다. 따라서, 후술하는 필터부(210) 등의 구성 이외에도 수처리기의 목적이나 성능에 부합되는 다양한 구성들이 부가될 수 있으며, 본 발명에 의한 냉수기(200) 및 냉수생성 탱크(100)는 도 1 내지 도 29에 도시되지 않은 다양한 구성들이 부가된 수처리기에 적용될 수 있음은 물론이다.
도 1 내지 도 14를 참조하여, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 냉수기(200)에 대해 살펴본다.
도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 냉수기(200)는, 빙축열 방식으로 냉수를 생성하는 냉수생성 탱크(100)와, 상기 냉수생성 탱크(100)에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하기 위한 냉각유닛(220)과, 상기 냉수생성부(130)에서 생성된 냉수를 추출하기 위해 개폐되는 출수부(230)를 포함하여 구성되며, 빙축액의 온도 등을 측정하는 센서부(180)와, 상기 센서부(180)에서 측정된 값을 이용하여 상기 냉각유닛(220)의 구동을 제어하는 제어부(C)를 추가로 포함할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 냉수기(200)는 원수를 여과하기 위하여 냉수생성 탱크(100)의 전단에 필터부(210)를 추가로 구비할 수도 있다.
먼저, 상기 필터부(210)는 원수를 여과하여 사용자에게 제공하기 위한 것으로서, 수처리기에서 요구되는 성능에 따라 다양한 종류의 필터가 복수 개 또는 복합형으로 구비될 수 있다. 다만, 생수를 이용하는 냉온수기 등의 일부 수처리기에서는 필터부(210)가 반드시 필요한 것은 아니므로 본 발명에 의한 냉수기(200)에서 필터부(210)가 필수 구성으로 구비되어야 하는 것은 아니다.
다음으로, 상기 냉각유닛(220)은 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 수용된 빙축액을 빙점 이하의 온도로 과냉각시킴으로서 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 얼음(I)이 형성되게 한다. 이를 위하여, 상기 냉각유닛(220)은 통상의 냉각사이클과 마찬가지로 냉매를 압축하는 압축기와, 상기 압축기에서 압축된 냉매를 응축하는 응축기와, 상기 응축기에서 응축된 냉매를 증발시키는 증발기와, 그리고 상기 증발기에서 증발된 냉매를 팽창시키는 팽창기를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다. 이때, 냉수생성 탱크(100)의 내부에 수용되는 냉각관(120)은 통상의 냉각시스템의 증발기에 대응하게 된다. 그러나, 후술하는 바와 같이 빙축액의 냉각을 통하여 냉각관(120) 주위의 얼음(I)이 형성될 수 있다면, 상기 냉각유닛(220)은 전자냉각 장치 등 공지의 냉각용 장치를 이용할 수도 있다.
한편, 도 3(후술하는 도 17의 경우에도 동일)에서는, 냉각유닛(220)과의 연결을 위하여, 냉각관(120)의 유입구(121)와 유출구(122)가 탱크몸체(110)의 일측 측면을 관통하는 것으로 도시되어 있지만, 냉각관(120)의 경로는 다양한 변경이 가능하다. 일 예로서, 도 10에 도시된 바와 같이 냉각관(120)의 유입구(121)와 유출구(122)는 탱크몸체(110)의 하면을 관통하여 설치될 수도 있다. 참고로, 도 1(후술하는 도 15의 경우에도 동일)에서는 냉각유닛(220)과 냉각관(120)의 연결상태에 대한 표현상의 편의를 위해 냉각관(120)의 유출구(122)의 위치를 변경하여 표시하였다.
또한, 상기 출수부(230)는 사용자에게 냉수를 공급하기 위하여 구비된다. 이러한 출수부(230)는 사용자의 선택에 의해 개폐되는 개폐밸브(미도시)를 포함할 수 있다. 이때, 상기 개폐밸브는 사용자의 버튼 선택 등에 의해 작동하는 전자식 밸브로 구성될 수 있지만, 기계식 밸브로 구성되는 것도 가능하다. 다만, 출수부(230)에 기계식 밸브가 구비되는 경우에는 밸브 개폐신호를 제어부(C)에 제공하는 별도의 장치가 구비될 필요가 있다. 이러한 개폐밸브에서 출수되는 냉수는 출수코크를 통하여 사용자에게 제공된다.
그리고, 센서부(180)는 상기 탱크몸체(110)에 수용된 빙축액의 온도와 상기 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기 중 적어도 하나를 측정하도록 구비될 수 있다. 이러한 센서부(180)는 하나의 센서로 설치될 수도 있지만, 탱크몸체(110)의 여러 부분에서 빙축액의 온도를 측정하거나 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께)를 별도로 측정하기 위하여 2개 이상의 센서가 설치되는 것도 가능하다. 예를 들어, 온도에 따른 밀도차에 의해, 탱크몸체(120) 내부의 높이에 따라 빙축액의 온도가 달라질 수 있으므로 빙축액의 온도를 감지하기 위한 센서를 여러 높이에 대응하도록 설치할 수 있다. 또한, 냉각관(120)에 얼음(I)이 형성되는 경우 얼음(I)과 직접 접촉하거나 인접한 위치의 온도를 측정하기 위하여 냉각관(120)에 인접하여 센서부(180)가 설치되는 것도 가능하다.
한편, 상기 제어부(C)는 센서부(180)에서 측정된 값을 이용하여 상기 냉각유닛(220) 및 순환부(140)의 구동을 제어하도록 구성된다.
즉, 센서부(180)에서 측정된 빙축액의 온도가 설정온도보다 낮거나, 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께)가 설정두께보다 작은 경우, 제어부(C)는 냉각유닛(220)을 구동시켜 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 수용된 빙축액의 온도를 낮추고 냉각관(120)의 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)을 성장시키게 된다.
이에 따라 빙축액의 온도가 설정값에 도달하거나 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)의 크기가 일정 크기 이상이 되면 제어부(C)는 냉각유닛(220)의 구동을 멈추게 된다.
또한, 제어부(C)는 상기 출수부(230)에서 출수신호가 입력되면 상기 순환부(140)를 제어하여 빙축액을 순환시키도록 구성될 수 있다.
즉, 출수부(230)에 구비된 개폐밸브(미도시)에서 개방신호가 제어부(C)에 입력되면 제어부(C)는 순환부(140)에 구비된 펌핑부재(150)를 구동하여 빙축액을 순환시키게 되며, 출수부(230)의 개방에 따라 냉수생성부(130)를 흐르는 물은 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉각되어 출수코크를 통해 사용자에게 제공된다. 이 과정에서 센서부(180)에서 감지된 온도가 설정온도보다 낮거나 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께)가 설정두께보다 작은 경우 냉각유닛(220)이 동시에 구동되는 것도 가능하다. 한편, 사용자가 개폐밸브를 닫는 경우 폐쇄신호가 제어부(C)에 입력되고, 이에 따라 제어부(C)는 펌핑부재(150)의 구동을 정지하게 된다.
다만, 펌핑부재(150)의 구동은 개폐밸브의 폐쇄신호가 입력된 직후에 정지될 수도 있지만, 빙축액의 온도 균형을 위하여 폐쇄신호가 입력된 후 일정시간 동안 추가 구동되는 것도 가능하다. 또한, 개폐밸브의 폐쇄신호가 입력된 경우라 하더라도 냉각유닛(220)의 구동은 빙축액의 온도가 설정값에 도달하거나 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)의 크기가 일정 크기 이상이 될 때까지 계속되도록 제어하는 것도 가능하다.
다음으로, 도 1 내지 도 5를 참조하여, 본 발명에 의한 냉수기(200)에 구비되는 냉수생성 탱크(100)의 일 실시예에 대해 살펴본다.
도 1 내지 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일 측면에 의한 냉수생성 탱크(100)는, 소정 크기의 내부공간에 빙축액이 수용되는 탱크몸체(110)와, 상기 탱크몸체(110) 내에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하기 위하여 상기 탱크몸체(110)의 내부에 구비되는 냉각관(120)과, 유입된 물이 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉수가 되도록 하는 냉수생성부(130)와, 상기 탱크몸체(110)의 내부에 수용된 빙축액을 순환시키는 순환부(140)를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
상기 탱크몸체(110)는 내부에 냉각유닛(200)에 의해 냉각되는 빙축액이 수용되며, 내부에 공간을 형성하는 탱크본체(111)와, 탱크본체(111)의 개구를 덮는 탱크덮개(115)로 분리되어 구성될 수 있다. 이러한 탱크몸체(110)는 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 원통형의 형상을 가질 수 있으나 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 도 6에 도시된 바와 같이 육면체의 형상을 가질 수도 있다.
또한, 상기 냉각관(120)은 전술한 냉각유닛(220)의 증발기에 대응된다. 이러한 냉각관(120)은 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 공간상의 나선 형상을 가질 수 있으며, 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 상하방향으로 길게 배치될 수 있다. 한편, 본 명세서 및 청구범위에서는 도면의 도시를 기초로 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)이 상하방향으로 길게 배치되는 것으로 설명하지만, 이러한 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)은 좌우방향으로 배치될 수도 있다. 이러한 점을 감안하여, 본 명세서 및 특허청구범위에서 상하방향은 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 길이방향과 같은 의미를 갖는 것으로 한다.
이러한 냉각관(120)의 내부에는 냉매가 흐르게 되며, 냉각유닛(220)의 작동에 따라 냉각관(120)의 외주면에는 빙축액이 결빙되어 얼음(I)이 형성된다.
이러한 얼음(I)의 생성두께는 센서부(180)를 통하여 빙축액의 온도 및/또는 얼음(I)과의 접촉을 통하여 감지할 수 있으며, 소정두께의 얼음(I)이 형성되면 냉각유닛(220)의 동작이 멈추도록 제어된다.
그리고, 상기 냉수생성부(130)는 유입된 물이 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉수가 되는 유로를 형성하는 열교환관(131)과, 빙축액과 접촉면적을 넓히기 위하여 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면에 위치한 확장부재(135)를 구비할 수 있다.
상기 열교환관(131)은 상기 냉각관(120)의 둘레를 감싸는 형태로 상기 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 배치된다. 즉, 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 공간상의 나선 형상을 갖는 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 냉각관(120)을 감싸는 형태로 열교환관(131)이 배치될 수 있다.
한편, 도 3에서는 열교환관(131)의 입수구(131a)와 출수구(131b)가 탱크몸체(110)의 일측 측면을 관통하는 것으로 도시되어 있지만, 열교환관(131)의 경로는 다양한 변경이 가능하다. 참고로, 도 1 및 도 2 등에서는 도식의 편의를 위해 열교환관(131)의 출수구(131b)의 위치를 도 3과는 다른 위치에 표시하였다.
이러한 열교환관(131)의 경우에도 냉각관(120)과 마찬가지로 공간상의 나선형상을 가질 수 있다.
한편, 본 명세서 및 특허청구범위에서 '공간상의 나선 형상'은 도 3 및 도4에 도시된 바와 같이, 열교환관(131)이나 냉각관(120)이 평면상 전체적으로 원형의 구조를 갖는 형태뿐만 아니라, 도 6에 도시된 바와 같이 평면상 전체적으로 각형의 구조를 갖는 형태를 포함하는 것으로 한다. 즉, '공간상의 나선 형상'은 평면상으로 각형이나 원형 구조를 갖는 것과 관계없이, 연속적으로 형성되되 공간상으로 나사선과 같이 감겨있는 형상을 의미하는 것으로 한다.
이와 같이 열교환관(131)을 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 배치하므로, 열교환관(131)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 11의 D2)이 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 11의 D1)보다 커지게 되고, 이로 인해 열교환관(131)의 가공성, 성형성이 우수하게 된다.
예를 들어, 대한민국 공개특허 제2013-0035888호에는 탱크몸체 내부의 좁은 설치공간 내에 일정 길이(일 예로서, 5m 정도) 이상의 열교환관을 확보하기 위하여 열교환관을 거의 180도로 굽힘 가공을 하고 있으나, 이러한 경우에는 굽힘각도가 커서 굽힘 부분에서 터짐이 발생할 수 있으므로 열교환관의 두께를 크게 하여야 했다(SUS 재질의 경우 대략 0.7mm 정도). 그러나, 본 발명의 일 실시예와 같이 열교환관(131)을 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 배치하는 경우, 열교환관(131)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 11의 D2)이 커지고 이로 인해 열교환관(131)의 두께를 감소시킬 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다(SUS 재질의 경우 대략 0.25~0.3mm까지 감소 가능). 이와 같이, 열교환관(131)의 두께를 줄이면 열교환관(131) 내부를 흐르는 물과 빙축액 사이의 열교환 효율이 상승하게 되고, 따라서 냉각효율(냉수생성 효율)이 상승하게 된다.
또한, 대한민국 공개특허 제2013-0035888호에는 탱크몸체의 상부에 냉각관이 위치하고, 탱크몸체의 하부에 열교환관이 배치되는 구조를 갖고 있다. 이러한 경우에는 관의 분포가 하부는 조밀한데 비해 상부는 성긴 구조가 되어 탱크몸체의 공간이용 효율이 저하되고 빙축액의 효율적 사용이 곤란하게 된다. 그러나, 본 발명의 일 실시예와 같이, 열교환관(131)을 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 배치하면 탱크몸체(110)의 상하부 모두에서 관 분포가 일정하므로 공간 이용의 효율이 증가될 뿐만 아니라, 탱크몸체(110)의 상하부에 관계없이 빙축액의 효과적인 사용이 가능하게 된다. 즉, 열교환관(131)의 전체 길이에 대하여 냉각관(120)과의 거리차가 크지 않아 상대적으로 낮은 온도를 갖는 냉각관(120) 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)과 냉각관(120) 근처의 낮은 온도의 빙축액을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있게 된다. 특히, 공개특허 제2013-0035888호의 열교환관(131)은 조밀한 구조를 가지므로 빙축액의 흐름이나 섞임이 원활하지 못하여 빙축액 온도의 불균일이 있는 반면 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 전체적으로 인접하여 배치되므로 냉각효율이 상승하는 구조를 이루게 된다.
한편, 후술하는 바와 같이, 순환부(140)는 냉각관(120)에서 냉수생성부(130) 방향, 즉 탱크몸체(110)의 중앙에서 외측 방향으로 빙축액을 분사하는 구조를 갖는다.
따라서, 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 형성된 얼음(I)이 녹으면서 온도가 저하된 빙축액이 냉수생성부(130) 측으로 이동하여 열교환관(131) 내부를 흐르는 물과 열교환하므로 냉수의 생성효율이 크게 증가하게 된다.
특히, 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 피치(인접하는 관 사이의 중심간격)를 조정함으로써 관 사이에 소정의 공간이 형성되도록 하는 경우, 냉각관(120)의 길이방향 사이 사이에 공간이 형성되며, 열교환관(131)의 경우에도 길이방향 사이 사이에 빙축액이 흐를 수 있는 공간이 형성된다. 따라서, 냉각관(120)을 거치면서 온도 저하된 빙축액이 냉각관(120) 사이에 형성된 공간을 통하여 열교환관(131)에 용이하게 도달할 수 있게 된다. 또한, 열교환관(131)에 도달한 빙축액도 열교환관을 마친 후 열교환관(131) 사이 사이에 형성된 공간을 통해 탱크몸체(110)의 내면 측으로 이동하게 된다. 이러한 흐름은 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 상부로부터 하부까지 전체 길이에 대해 균일하게 이루어질 수 있으므로, 열교환관(131)의 전체 길이에 대하여 냉각효율이 균일하게 이루어지고 충분한 냉각이 가능하게 된다.
이를 위하여, 냉각관(120) 사이의 피치는 냉각관(120)의 길이방향 사이사이에 공간이 형성되도록 냉각관(120) 외경의 1.2배 이상, 5배 이하의 치수를 가질 수 있다. 이때, 냉각관(120) 사이의 피치가 냉각관(120) 외경의 1.2배보다 작은 경우 냉각관(120) 사이의 공간의 치수가 외경의 0.2배 미만이 되어 빙축액의 통과시 저항이 크게 작용하게 된다. 또한, 냉각관(120) 사이의 피치가 냉각관(120) 외경의 5배보다 큰 경우 냉각관(120) 사이의 공간의 치수가 외경의 4배를 초과하여 공간의 효율이 저하될 뿐만 아니라 정해진 체적에서의 냉각관(120)의 길이가 짧아져 충분한 열교환을 기대할 수 없게 된다.
그리고, 상기 냉각관(120) 사이의 피치와 상기 냉수생성부(130) 사이의 피치는 동일하거나 배수의 관계를 가질 수 있고, 이 경우 상기 냉수생성부(130)는 상기 냉각관(120) 사이의 공간에 대응되는 위치에 배치될 수 있다. 즉, 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 냉각관(120) 사이의 공간이 형성되는 높이에 냉수생성부(130)의 열교환관(131)이 배치되는 경우, 빙축액이 냉각관(120) 사이의 공간을 통과한 후 열교환관(131)에 쉽게 도달할 수 있다. 따라서, 이러한 엇갈림 배치가 되도록 상기 냉각관(120) 사이의 피치와 상기 냉수생성부(130) 사이의 피치는 동일하게 형성되거나 배수의 관계를 가질 수 있다. 그러나, 냉각관(120) 사이의 피치와 냉수생성부(130) 사이의 피치가 다르게 구성된다 하더라도 냉각관(120) 사이마다, 그리고 냉수생성부(130)의 열교환관(131) 사이마다 공간이 형성되므로 빙축액의 흐름을 제한하는 것은 아니므로 본 발명은 전술한 피치의 구성을 갖는 구조로 한정되는 것은 아니다.
또한, 도 2 및 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 냉각관(120)과 냉수생성부(130)의 열교환관(131)은 폭 방향(또는 반경방향)으로 일정간격을 유지하도록 구성될 수 있으며, 이를 통하여 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 상부로부터 하부까지 전체 길이에 대해 균일한 냉각효과를 달성할 수 있게 된다.
한편, 상기 열교환관(131)의 길이방향 높이(도 11의 H)는 상기 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 11의 D1)보다 크게 설정될 수 있다. 이를 통하여, 냉각관(120) 내부의 공간을 작게 하고 열교환관(131)이 상하방향에 걸쳐 냉각관(120)을 거친 빙축액과 충분한 접촉을 하는 것이 가능해진다.
이때, 상기 열교환관(131)의 길이방향 높이(H)는 상기 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(D1)의 1.5배 이상 10배 이하, 바람직하게는 1.5배 이상 5배 이하로 구성될 수 있다. 열교환관(131)의 길이방향 높이(H)가 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(D1)의 1.5배보다 작다면 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(D1)이 상대적으로 커져서 냉각관(120) 내부의 공간을 효율적으로 이용할 수 없게 된다. 반대로, 열교환관(131)의 길이방향 높이(H)가 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(D1)의 10배보다 크다면 탱크몸체(110)의 길이가 과도하게 커져 냉수기(200)의 내부에 설치할 때 제약이 크게 될 뿐만 아니라, 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선(D1)의 직경이 과도하게 작아져 냉각관(120)의 성형이 곤란하게 된다.
또한, 냉각관(120) 사이의 공간을 통과하면서 얼음(I)과 접촉하여 충분히 온도 저하된 빙축액이 주변의 빙축액의 영향을 받지 않고 빠른 시간 내에 열교환관(131)을 흐르는 물과 열교환하기 위해서는 상기 열교환관(131)과 냉각관(120)은 서로 인접하여 배치되는 것이 바람직하다. 이를 위하여, 상기 열교환관(131)이 형성하는 나선 직경(D2)과 상기 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선 직경(D1)의 차이(도 11의 L의 2배)는 상기 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선 직경(D1)의 0.5배 이상 4배 이하인 것이 바람직하다. 직경의 차이가 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선 직경(D1)의 0.5배보다 작다면 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)이 극히 인접하게 되어 냉각관(120)의 외주면에 형성되는 얼음(I)이 열교환관(131)까지 확장되어 열교환관(131)의 내부를 흐르는 물이 얼게 되고, 이로 인해 열교환관(131)이 동파될 수 있다. 반대로, 직경의 차이(2*L)가 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선 직경(D1)의 4배보다 크다면 열교환관(131)과 냉각관(120)의 관 중심 사이의 거리(도 11의 L)가 냉각관(120)의 나선 직경(D1)의 2배 이상이 되므로 열교환관(131)과 냉각관(120))에 과도하게 큰 공간이 형성되어 공간이용이 효율적이지 못할 뿐만 아니라, 냉각관(120) 사이의 공간을 통과하면서 얼음(I)과 접촉하여 온도 저하된 빙축액의 온도가 주변의 빙축액과 열교환하여 다시 온도가 올라간 상태로 열교환관(131)에 도달하므로 충분한 냉각효율을 달성할 수 없게 된다.
한편, 상기 냉수생성부(130)의 확장부재(135)는 상기 열교환관(131)의 둘레에 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면과 일체로 형성되거나 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면에 장착되는 다수의 핀(fin) 부재를 포함할 수 있다{이하에서는, 확장부재 및 핀 부재에 대하여 동일한 도면부호 135로 지칭하기로 한다}. 도 4에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 핀 부재(135)는 소정의 간격을 두고 나선 형상의 열교환관(131)의 외주면에 배치될 수 있다. 참고로, 도 3 및 도 4에서는 핀 부재(135)를 개략적으로 도시하여 핀부재가 서로 붙어있는 것처럼 표현되어 있지만, 핀 부재(135) 사이의 공간을 통해 빙축액이 열교환관(131)과 접촉할 수 있도록 도 4의 확대도에 도시된 바와 같이, 핀 부재(135) 사이에는 소정의 간격이 형성된다. 이때, 핀 부재(135) 사이에는 일정 간격이 유지되도록 배치될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 또한, 핀 부재(135)는 열교환관(131)이 냉각관(120)과 인접하는 부분에 전체적으로 설치되는 구성을 가질 수도 있지만, 도 6 및 도 7에 도시된 바와 같이 연결부재(137)를 통해 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)을 서로 연결하는 경우 등에는 열교환관(131)에 부분적으로 설치되는 것도 가능하다.
이러한 핀 부재(135)는, 도 5(a)에 도시된 바와 같이 각형(사각형)의 단면을 갖도록 구성될 수도 있고, 도 5(b)에 도시된 바와 같이 원형의 단면을 갖도록 구성될 수도 있다. 또한, 도 8에 도시된 바와 같이, 핀 부재(135)의 폭이 높이보다 크게 형성된 직사각형 형상을 가질 수도 있으며, 열교환관(131)을 기준으로 하여 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 부분의 폭만 연장된 구조를 갖는 것도 가능하다.
이러한 핀 부재(135)는 알루미늄 또는 스테인레스 스틸(SUS)를 포함하는 재질로 형성될 수 있다. 즉, 열교환관(131)의 재질과 동일한 스테인레스 스틸로 이루어질 수 있으며, 열교환 효율을 보다 높이기 위하여 알루미늄 재질로 이루어질 수도 있다. 또한, 상기 열교환관(131)은 부식을 막기 위하여 부식 방지코팅이 이루어질 수 있다.
다음으로 순환부(140)에 대해 살펴본다.
전술한 바와 같이, 상기 순환부(140)는 냉각관(120)의 나선 형상의 중앙부분에서 빙축액을 분사하여 빙축액이 상기 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)을 지나 상기 냉수생성부(130)로 유동하도록 구성된다.
이를 위하여, 상기 순환부(140)는 상기 냉각관(120)의 나선 형상 중앙부분에 상기 냉각관(120)의 길이방향을 따라 배치되어 상기 냉각관(120)에 빙축액을 분사하는 분사부재(160)와, 상기 탱크몸체(110) 내부의 빙축액을 흡입하여 상기 분사부재(160)로 공급하는 펌핑부재(150)를 구비할 수 있으며, 상기 탱크몸체(110) 내부의 빙축액을 상기 펌핑부재(150)로 공급하는 흡입부재(141)를 추가로 구비할 수 있다.
상기 분사부재(160)는 상기 냉각관(120)의 길이방향(상하방향)을 따라 연장되며, 다수의 분사홀(161)을 구비한다. 이때, 분사홀(161)은 도 2 및 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 분사부재(160)의 길이방향을 따라 복수 개 형성된다. 따라서, 이러한 분사부재(160)를 통하여 냉각관(120)의 길이방향 전체에 걸쳐 빙축액을 분사할 수 있게 된다.
또한, 상기 펌핑부재(150)는 펌프와 같은 흡입 및/또는 가압 수단으로 이루어질 수 있다. 이때, 상기 펌핑부재(150)는 상기 탱크몸체(110)의 내부에 구비되어 펌핑부재(150)를 흐르는 빙축액에 의해 결로가 발생하는 것을 최소화할 수 있다. 즉, 펌핑부재(150)가 탱크몸체(110)의 외부에 구비되는 경우에는 외기와의 온도 차이로 인하여 펌핑부재(150)의 외면에 결로가 발생하고, 이러한 물방울이 감전 및 쇼트의 원인이 될 수 있다. 그러나, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따라, 펌핑부재(150)가 탱크몸체(110)의 내부에 구비되는 경우에는 결로가 발생하는 것을 원천적으로 차단할 수 있다. 이러한 펌핑부재(150)는 빙축액에 잠긴 상태로 구동할 수 있는 수중펌프를 사용할 수 있다.
한편, 상기 흡입부재(141)는 상기 냉수생성부(130)의 둘레에 소정 간격으로 복수 개 구비될 수 있다. 즉, 상기 흡입부재(141)는 분사부재(160)에서 분사된 빙축액이 냉각관(120)을 거치면서 온도 저하된 다음 열교환관(131)과 열교환하여 온도가 상승된 빙축액을 다시 펌핑부재(150)로 공급할 수 있도록 냉수생성부(130)와 탱크몸체(110) 사이의 공간에 구비되는 것이 바람직하다. 또한, 상기 흡입부재(141)는 냉수생성부(130)의 둘레에 소정 간격으로 복수 개가 구비되므로 냉수생성부(130)와 탱크몸체(110) 사이의 전체 공간에서 빙축액의 흡입이 가능해진다. 도 3에는 4개의 흡입부재(141)가 일정간격으로 이격되어 설치된 것으로 도시되어 있지만, 흡입부재(141)의 개수는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 또한, 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 흡입부재(141)의 입구는 탱크몸체(110)의 하단까지 연장될 수 있지만, 그 위치는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 또한 복수의 흡입부재(141) 중 적어도 일부의 입구가 서로 다른 높이를 갖는 것도 가능하다.
도 2 및 도 3에 도시된 바와 같이, 다수의 흡입부재(141)는 이를 서로 연결하는 매니폴드(143)를 거쳐 공급관(142)을 통해 펌핑부재(150)로 공급되도록 구성될 수 있다. 한편, 도 2 및 도 3 등에서는 흡입부재(141)가 탱크덮개(115)를 관통하는 것으로 도시되어 있으나, 이러한 흡입부재(141)는 탱크본체(111)를 관통하도록 형성되는 것도 가능하고, 탱크몸체(110) 내부에서 펌핑부재(150)와 연결되도록 구성되는 것도 가능하다.
다음으로, 도 6 및 도 7을 참조하여 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 의한 냉수생성 탱크(100)에 대해 살펴본다.
도 6 및 도 7에 도시된 냉수생성 탱크는 도 2 내지 도 4에 도시된 냉수생성 탱크(100)와 마찬가지로, 소정 크기의 내부공간에 빙축액이 수용되는 탱크몸체(110)와, 상기 탱크몸체(110) 내에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하기 위하여 상기 탱크몸체(110)의 내부에 구비되는 냉각관(120)과, 유입된 물이 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉수가 되도록 하는 냉수생성부(130)와, 상기 탱크몸체(110)의 내부에 수용된 빙축액을 순환시키는 순환부(140)를 포함하여 구성된다.
다만, 도 6 및 도 7에 도시된 냉수생성 탱크는 냉수생성부(130)의 구조 및 형상이 도 2 내지 도 4에 도시된 냉수생성부(130)와 차이가 있으며, 이에 따라 탱크몸체(110)가 육면체 형상을 갖는다는 점에서 차이가 있다. 따라서, 불필요한 중복을 피하기 위하여 동일 내지 유사한 구성에 대한 상세한 설명은 생략하고 차이점이 있는 냉수생성부(130)의 구성에 대해서만 설명하기로 한다.
도 6 및 도 7에 도시된 바와 같이, 냉수생성부(130)는 유입된 물이 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉수가 되는 유로를 형성하는 열교환관(131)과, 빙축액과 접촉면적을 넓히기 위하여 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면에 위치한 확장부재(핀부재)(135)를 구비하며, 상기 열교환관(131)은 상기 냉각관(120)의 둘레를 감싸는 형태로 상기 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 설치된다. 즉, 도 6 및 도 7에 도시된 바와 같이, 공간상의 나선 형상을 갖는 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 냉각관(120)을 감싸는 형태로 열교환관(131)이 배치된다.
이때, 상기 냉수생성부(130)는, 제조 용이성을 위해 상기 열교환관(131)과 상기 핀 부재(135)를 구비하는 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)을 복수 개 연결하여 형성되는 구조를 가질 수 있다.
도 7에 도시된 바와 같이, 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)은 단위 열교환관(131u)의 외주면에 핀 부재(135)가 배치되는 구조를 가진다. 도 7에는 단위 열교환관(131u)이 직선형을 갖는 것으로 도시되어 있으나, 원호 형상을 갖는 것도 가능하다.
이때, 복수의 상기 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)은 단위 열교환관(131u)의 단부를 서로 연결하는 연결부재(137)에 의해 연결될 수 있다. 이러한 연결부재(137)는 일 예로서, 유연한 재질로 이루어진 튜빙으로 이루어질 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 금속재질의 연결관을 용접 등의 방법에 의해 단위 열교환관(131u)의 단부에 부착하는 것도 가능하다.
또한, 연결부재(137)와 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)의 단부를 밀착시키도록 클램핑 부재(138)가 사용되는 것도 가능하다.
이러한 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)은 연결부재(137)에 의해 서로 연결되어 적층될 수 있고 이에 따라 냉수생성부(130)는 도 6에 도시된 바와 같이 공간상의 나선 형상을 이룰 수 있다. 즉, 냉수생성부(130)는 도 7에 도시된 평면도와 같이 사각형의 기본형상을 갖는 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)을 공간상으로 적층하여 도 6에 도시된 바와 같은 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루도록 구성할 수 있다. 이러한 냉수생성부(130)를 수용하도록 탱크몸체(110)도 육면체의 구성을 가질 수 있다.
또한, 흡입부재(141)는 도 6에 도시된 바와 같이, 탱크몸체(110)의 4개의 모서리 부분에 위치하도록 구성될 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 8을 참조하여 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 의한 냉수생성 탱크(100)에 대해 살펴본다.
도 8에 도시된 냉수생성 탱크(100)는 냉각관(120)의 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)이 핀 부재(135)까지 확장되도록 도 2에 비해 핀 부재(135)가 냉각관(120) 측으로 연장된 구조를 갖는다. 즉, 상기 핀 부재(135)는 상기 냉각관(120)과 인접한 부분의 길이(폭)가 핀 부재(135)의 높이보다 길게 형성되어, 냉각관(120)에 수직인 방향보다 냉각관(120) 측을 향하는 방향이 더 연장된 구조를 가질 수 있다.
이와 같이, 냉각관(120)의 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)이 핀 부재(135)까지 확장되는 경우 얼음(I)의 냉기가 핀 부재(135)에 직접 전도에 의해 전달되고, 이에 따라 열교환관(131) 내부를 흐르는 물은 열교환관(131) 및 핀 부재(135)를 통해 핀 부재(135)에 형성된 얼음(I)과, 전도에 의한 열전달을 하게 된다. 따라서, 냉수생성 효율이 더욱 상승하게 된다.
이때, 얼음(I)이 열교환관(131)까지 확장 생성되는 경우에는 열교환관(131)을 유동하는 물이 얼어 열교환관(131)이 동파될 수 있기 때문에 이를 방지하기 위하여 냉각관(120) 측의 핀 부재(135)가 냉각관(120) 측으로 연장된 구조를 가져 열교환관(131)과 냉각관(120) 사이가 이격된 구조를 갖는 것이 바람직하다. 도 8에서는 도 2와 비교할 때 상기 냉각관(120)과 인접한 부분의 핀 부재(135)의 길이(폭)가 반대측보다 길이(폭)가 길게 형성된 구조를 갖는 것으로 도시되어 있지만, 핀 부재(135)의 양측이 모두 폭방향으로 연장되는 구조를 갖는 것도 가능하다.
다음으로, 도 9 및 도 10을 참조하여, 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 의한 냉수생성 탱크(100)에 대해 살펴본다.
도 9에 도시된 냉수생성 탱크(100)는 도 2 내지 도 4에 도시된 냉수탱크와 비교할 때, 순환부(140)에 차단부재(190)가 구비되어 있으며, 흡입부재(155)가 탱크몸체(110)의 하측까지 연장되지 않는다는 점에서 차이가 있다.
이러한 차단부재(190)는 상기 분사부재(160)에서 분사된 빙축액이 상기 펌핑부재(150)로 바로 유입되는 것을 차단하기 위하여 상기 분사부재(160)와 펌핑부재(150) 사이의 유동을 제한하게 된다.
즉, 흡입부재(155)의 길이를 짧게 하거나 흡입부재(155)가 구비되지 않고 펌핑부재(150)의 유입구(151)만 형성되는 경우에는, 분사부재(160)에서 분사되는 빙축액이 탱크몸체(110) 내부에서 충분히 순환되거나 섞이지 않고 펌핑부재(150)로 다시 유입될 수 있다. 이 경우, 탱크몸체(110) 내부에서 온도 불균일이 발생하여 냉수생성부(130)의 냉수 생성효율이 저하될 수 있다. 따라서, 펌핑부재(150)에서 분사된 빙축액이 냉각관(120)을 통과한 후에 펌핑부재(150)로 흡입되는 것이 필요하다. 이를 위하여, 상기 차단부재(190)는 상기 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 11의 D1)보다 더 큰 직경을 가질 수 있다. 또한, 펌핑부재(150)에서 분사된 빙축액이 냉각관(120) 및 열교환관(131)을 통과한 후에 펌핑부재(150)로 유입되는 경우에는 순환효율이 더욱 상승하며, 이를 위해 차단부재(190)의 직경은 냉수생성부(130)가 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 11의 D1)과 유사하거나 더 큰 직경을 가질 수 있다. 이때, 차단부재(190)는 원형으로 한정되는 것은 아니고 사각형의 형상을 가질 수도 있으며, 원형의 아닌 경우의 차단부재(190)의 직경은 짧은 변의 길이를 기준으로 한다.
그리고, 도 9에는 흡입부재(155)가 펌핑부재(150)의 유입구(151)에 부착되는 것을 도시하고 있으나, 차단부재(190)가 구비되는 경우 이러한 흡입부재(155)가 필수적인 것은 아니다. 또한, 차단부재(190)가 구비되는 경우라 하더라도 흡입부재(155)는 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이 탱크몸체(110)의 하측으로 일정 정도 연장되는 구조를 가질 수도 있다.
한편, 도 10은 도 9에 도시된 차단부재(190)를 구비하지만, 펌핑부재(150)를 비롯한 순환부(140)가 탱크몸체(110)의 하측에 설치되는 냉수생성 탱크(100)의 구조를 도시하고 있다. 즉, 도 2 내지 도 9에서는 순환부(140)가 탱크몸체(110)의 상측에 설치되는 구조로 예시하였지만, 펌핑부재(150)로 수중모터가 이용되는 경우 도 10에 도시된 바와 같이, 순환부(140)를 구성하는 펌핑부재(150), 차단부재(190) 등이 탱크몸체(110)의 하측에 설치되는 것도 가능하다. 또한, 도 10에 도시된 바와 같이, 냉각관(120)의 유입구(121) 및 유출구(122)가 탱크몸체(110)의 하면에 형성되는 구조를 가질 수 있으나, 전술한 바와 같이 냉각관(120)의 유입구(121) 및 유출구(122)가 탱크몸체(110)와 연결되는 위치는 제한되지 않는다.
한편, 상기 탱크몸체(110)에 수용된 빙축액은 어는점이 0℃인 물을 사용할 수도 있지만, 빙축액의 열용량(축열량)을 높일 수 있도록 어는점이 0℃ 보다 낮은 수용액을 빙축액으로 사용하는 것도 가능하다.
이때, 빙축액은 인체 유해성이 적고 냉각관(120)이나 열교환관(131) 등에 부식이 발생하지 않는 물질이 사용되는 것이 적합하다.
이를 위하여, 빵의 신전제 및 보습제와 쇼트닝의 신전제로 사용될 뿐만 아니라 FDA에서 식품용 용제로 승인한 프로필렌글리콜을 수용액으로 만든 후 이를 빙축액으로 사용함으로써 탱크몸체(110)의 전체적인 열용량(축열량)을 높일 수 있을 뿐만 인체에 미치는 해를 최소화할 수 있게 된다.
또한, 프로필렌글리콜 수용액의 경우 부식성이 거의 없으므로 탱크몸체(110) 또는 그 내부에 설치되는 금속재질의 관에 부식이 발생하는 것을 최소화할 수 있다.
이때, 프로필렌글리콜 수용액에 사용되는 프로필렌글리콜의 양을 조절함으로써 빙축액의 어는점 내림 온도를 조절할 수 있게 된다.
그러나, 본 발명에 사용되는 빙축액은 전술한 물이나 프로필렌글리콜 수용액에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 설탕물 등 다양한 종류의 수용액을 이용할 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 1, 도 11 내지 도 14를 참조하여, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 냉수기(200) 및 냉수생성 탱크(100)의 냉수생성 과정에 대해 살펴본다.
도 1 및 도 11을 참조하면, 센서부(180)에서 측정된 빙축액의 온도가 설정온도보다 낮거나, 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께)가 설정두께보다 작은 경우, 제어부(C)는 냉각유닛(220)을 구동시켜 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 수용된 빙축액의 온도를 낮추고 냉각관(120)의 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)을 성장시키게 된다.
이에 따라 도 11에 도시된 바와 같이, 냉각관(120)의 외주면에는 일정크기(두께)의 얼음(I)이 형성되고, 빙축액의 온도가 설정값에 도달하거나 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)의 크기가 일정 크기 이상이 되면 제어부(C)는 냉각유닛(220)의 구동을 멈추게 된다.
한편, 사용자가 출수부(230)를 조작하여 개폐밸브를 개방하게 되면 개폐밸브의 개방신호가 제어부(C)에 전달되고, 제어부(C)는 냉수생성을 위하여 순환부(140)의 펌핑부재(150)를 구동하게 된다.
펌핑부재(150)에 의해 분사부재(160)의 분사홀(161)을 통해 빙축액이 분사되면 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 형성된 얼음(I)에 빙축액이 접촉하게 된다. 이에 따라, 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 형성된 얼음(I)이 녹으면서 냉각관(120) 사이에는 빙축액이 흐를 수 있는 공간이 형성된다. 참고로, 도 11에는 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)이 냉각관(120) 전체에 걸쳐 일정한 두께로 일체로 형성되는 형태로 도시되어 있으나, 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 형상은 냉각관(120) 사이의 피치나 제어되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께) 등에 따라 그 형태가 변할 수 있다. 또한, 냉각관(120)에 파이프 형상의 얼음(I)이 형성된 경우라 하더라도 빙축액의 분사를 통해 얼음이 일부 제거된 이후에는 얼음(I)들 사이에 빙축액이 유동할 수 있는 공간이 형성될 수 있다.
분사된 빙축액이 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)과 접촉하면 도 12에 도시된 바와 같이, 얼음(I) 사이의 공간은 점점 넓어지고 온도 저하된 빙축액은 냉수생성부(130)를 흐르는 물과 열교환하게 된다. 이때, 냉수생성부(130)에는 핀 부재(135)가 설치되어 있으므로 빙축액과 접촉하는 면적이 넓어지고 이에 따라 빙축액과 열교환관(131)을 유동하는 물 사이의 열교환이 보다 원활하게 이루어질 수 있다. 실험에 의하면, 열교환관(131) 둘레에 핀 부재(135)를 설치한 경우가 설치하지 않은 경우보다 열교환 효율이 대략 2.5 배 이상 상승하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
또한, 전술한 바와 같이, 열교환관(131)의 두께를 얇게 하는 경우에는 열교환 효율(냉수생성 효율)이 더욱 상승할 수 있다.
그리고, 냉수생성부(130)는 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루므로 열교환관(131)의 사이에 공간이 형성되고, 핀 부재(135) 사이에도 공간이 형성되므로 냉각부로부터 냉수생성부(130)로 유동된 빙축액은 냉수생성부(130)에 형성된 공간을 통하여 냉수생성부(130)와 탱크몸체(110) 사이의 공간으로 용이하게 이동할 수 있다.
이후, 빙축액은 냉수생성부(130)와 탱크몸체(110) 사이의 공간에 설치된 흡입부재(141, 도 9 및 10의 155)에 의해 흡입되어 다시 펌핑부재(150)를 통해 분사부재(160)로 공급된다. 따라서, 빙축액이 탱크몸체(110)의 중앙부에서 탱크몸체(110)의 내주면 측(반경방향 외측)으로 이동한 후 다시 펌핑부재(150)를 통해 탱크몸체(110)의 중앙부로 순환되는 유로를 형성하게 된다. 특히, 분사부재(160), 냉각관(120), 냉수생성부(130)가 상하방향으로 길게 형성되어 있으므로 탱크몸체(110)의 상하 전체에 걸쳐 빙축액의 순환 및 섞임이 용이하게 이루어져 빙축액의 온도분포가 균일하게 될 수 있다. 한편, 도 9 및 도 10의 경우에는 차단부재(190)에 의해 분사부재(160)에서 분사된 빙축액이 냉각관(120) 및/또는 냉수생성부(130)를 통과한 후 펌핑부재(150)로 흡입되는 구조를 가지므로 전술한 바와 같은 순환구조를 유지할 수 있게 된다.
한편, 냉수추출 과정에서 센서부(180)에서 감지된 온도가 설정온도보다 낮거나 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께)가 설정두께보다 작은 경우 냉각유닛(220)이 동시에 구동되는 것도 가능하다. 그리고, 사용자가 개폐밸브를 닫는 경우 폐쇄신호가 제어부(C)에 입력되고, 이에 따라 제어부(C)는 펌핑부재(150)의 구동을 즉시 또는 일정시간 경과 후 중지하게 된다.
이와 같이, 열교환관(131)을 흐르는 물이 빙축액과 충분히 열교환하여 냉수가 생성되므로 냉수생성 효율이 크게 증가하게 된다.
도 13은 본 발명의 일 실시예와 종래기술의 냉각효과 대비를 위하여 추출 잔(컵; 120ml 기준)의 수에 따른 추출수의 온도 변화를 나타낸 그래프이다.
도 13을 참조하면, 현재 시판 중인 제품을 대상으로 한 비교예 1 내지 3의 경우에는 10℃ 이하의 냉수를 추출할 수 있는 잔의 수는 5~7잔에 불과하였으나, 본 발명의 일 실시예인 도 6을 기초로 실험한 결과 동일한 빙축액 체적(대략 2리터 기준)에 대해서도 10℃ 이하의 냉수를 20~21잔을 추출할 수 있었다. 발명예 1은 빙축액으로 물을 사용한 경우이고, 발명예 2는 빙축액의 어는점을 -0.5℃로 낮춘 경우로서 발명예 2가 발명예 1보다 추출잔 수가 약간 증가하였다. 다만, 발명예 2보다 빙축액의 어는점을 더욱 낮춘다면 추출잔수가 더욱 증가할 수 있을 것이다.
한편, 도 14는 도 6에 도시된 실시예에 의한 냉수생성 탱크(100)의 연속 추출시 빙축액과 냉수의 온도 관계를 도시한 그래프이다.
도 14를 참고하면 도 13의 단속적 추출이 아니라 냉수를 계속하여 추출하는 연속추출의 경우에도 분사부재(160) 측의 빙축수 입수 온도와 흡입부재(141) 측의 빙축수 출수 온도가 거의 차이가 없음을 확인할 수 있으며, 이는 탱크몸체(110) 내부에서 빙축액이 원활하게 순환하고 있다는 것을 보여준다.
1 LPM(liter/minite)의 속도로 연속추출한 경우 116초 동안 10℃ 이하의 냉수를 추출할 수 있었으며, 이는 1.93리터에 해당한다. 도 13과 비교하면 연속추출의 경우에도 130ml 잔을 기준으로 16잔 이상의 추출이 가능하다는 것을 확인할 수 있으며, 이는 종래에 비해 현저히 개선된 냉각효과를 보여준다.
다음으로, 도 15 내지 도 29를 참조하여, 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 의한 냉수기(200)에 대해 살펴본다.
도 15에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 의한 냉수기(200)는, 빙축열 방식으로 냉수를 생성하는 냉수생성 탱크(100)와, 상기 냉수생성 탱크(100)에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하기 위한 냉각유닛(220)과, 상기 냉수생성부(130)에서 생성된 냉수를 추출하기 위해 개폐되는 출수부(230)를 포함하여 구성되며, 빙축액의 온도 등을 측정하는 센서부(180)와, 상기 센서부(180)에서 측정된 값을 이용하여 상기 냉각유닛(220)의 구동을 제어하는 제어부(C)를 추가로 포함할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 냉수기(200)는 원수를 여과하기 위하여 냉수생성 탱크(100) 전단에 필터부(210)를 추가로 구비할 수도 있다.
도 15에 도시된 냉수기(200)의 경우에도 도 1에 도시된 냉수기(200)와 마찬가지로, 냉수생성 탱크(100), 냉각유닛(220), 출수부(230)를 포함하여 구성되며, 센서부(180), 제어부(C) 및 필터부(210)를 추가로 포함할 수 있으며, 다만 냉수생성탱크(100) 및 제어부(C)의 구성만 도 1 내지 도 14를 참조하여 설명한 실시예와 차이가 있다.
따라서, 불필요한 중복을 피하기 위하여, 냉각유닛(220), 출수부(230), 센서부(180) 및 필터부(210)의 구성에 대한 상세한 설명은 도 1에 도시된 실시예의 내용으로 갈음하기로 하고, 도 1과 차이가 있는 구성을 중심으로 설명하기로 한다.
도 15 내지 도 29에 도시된 실시예의 경우, 상기 제어부(C)는 센서부(180)에서 측정된 값을 이용하여 상기 냉각유닛(220)의 구동을 제어하도록 구성된다.
즉, 센서부(180)에서 측정된 빙축액의 온도가 설정온도보다 낮거나, 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께)가 설정두께보다 작은 경우, 제어부(C)는 냉각유닛(220)을 구동시켜 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 수용된 빙축액의 온도를 낮추고 냉각관(120)의 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)을 성장시키게 된다.
이에 따라 빙축액의 온도가 설정값에 도달하거나 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)의 크기가 일정 크기 이상이 되면 제어부(C)는 냉각유닛(220)의 구동을 멈추게 된다.
한편, 제어부(C)는 상기 출수부(230)에서 출수신호가 입력되면 출수부(230)에 구비된 개폐밸브(미도시)를 개방하여 냉수의 추출이 이루어지도록 한다.
이와 같이, 출수부(230)의 개방에 따라 냉수생성부(130)를 흐르는 물은 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉각되어 출수코크를 통해 사용자에게 제공된다. 이 과정에서 센서부(180)에서 감지된 온도가 설정온도보다 낮거나 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께)가 설정두께보다 작은 경우 냉각유닛(220)이 구동될 수 있다.
그리고, 사용자가 냉수 추출을 종료하여 폐쇄신호가 제어부(C)에 입력되면, 제어부(C)는 개폐밸브를 폐쇄하게 된다. 이때, 냉각유닛(220)의 구동은 개폐밸브 폐쇄신호가 입력된 직후에 정지될 수도 있지만, 빙축액의 온도가 설정값에 도달하거나 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)의 크기가 일정 크기 이상이 될 때까지 냉각유닛(220)의 구동이 계속되도록 제어하는 것도 가능하다.
다음으로, 도 15 내지 도 19를 참조하여, 본 발명에 의한 냉수기(200)에 구비되는 냉수생성 탱크(100)의 일 실시예에 대해 살펴본다.
도 15 내지 도 17, 도 19에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일 측면에 의한 냉수생성 탱크(100)는, 소정 크기의 내부공간에 빙축액이 수용되는 탱크몸체(110)와, 상기 탱크몸체(110) 내에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하기 위하여 상기 탱크몸체(110)의 내부에 구비되는 냉각관(120)과, 유입된 물이 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉수가 되도록 하는 냉수생성부(130)를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
상기 탱크몸체(110)는 내부에 냉각유닛(200)에 의해 냉각되는 빙축액이 수용되며, 내부에 공간을 형성하는 탱크본체(111)와, 탱크본체(111)의 개구를 덮는 탱크덮개(115)로 분리되어 구성될 수 있다. 이러한 탱크몸체(110)는 도 17에 도시된 바와 같이 원통형의 형상을 가질 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며 육면체의 형상을 가질 수도 있다.
또한, 상기 냉각관(120)은 전술한 냉각유닛(220)의 증발기에 대응된다. 이러한 냉각관(120)은 도 17에 도시된 바와 같이, 공간상의 나선 형상을 가질 수 있으며, 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 상하방향으로 길게 배치될 수 있다. 한편, 본 명세서 및 청구범위에서는 도 16 내지 도 19에 도시된 바를 기초로 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)이 상하방향으로 길게 배치되는 것으로 설명하지만, 이러한 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)은 좌우방향으로 배치될 수도 있다. 이러한 점을 감안하여, 본 명세서 및 특허청구범위에서 도 16 내지 도 19에 도시된 실시예와 관련된 '상하방향'의 용어는 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 길이방향과 같은 의미를 갖는 것으로 한다.
이러한 냉각관(120)의 내부에는 냉매가 흐르게 되며, 냉각유닛(220)의 작동에 따라 냉각관(120)의 외주면에는 빙축액이 결빙되어 얼음(I)이 형성된다.
이러한 얼음(I)의 생성두께는 센서부(180)를 통하여 빙축액의 온도 및/또는 얼음(I)과의 접촉을 통하여 감지할 수 있으며, 소정두께의 얼음(I)이 형성되면 냉각유닛(220)의 동작이 멈추도록 제어된다.
그리고, 상기 냉수생성부(130)는 유입된 물이 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉수가 되는 유로를 형성하는 열교환관(131)과, 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면에서 돌출된 형상을 가지며 상기 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 형성된 얼음과 접촉하는 확장부재(135)를 구비할 수 있다. 이하에서는, 도 1 내지 도 14의 실시예에서 설명한 확장부재(135)가 얼음과 접촉할 수 있다는 점을 보다 명확하게 하기 위하여 도 15 내지 도 29의 실시예에서는 확장부재를 얼음접촉부재(135)로 표현하기로 한다.
상기 열교환관(131)은 상기 냉각관(120)의 둘레를 감싸는 형태로 상기 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 배치된다. 즉, 도 17에 도시된 바와 같이, 공간상의 나선 형상을 갖는 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 냉각관(120)을 감싸는 형태로 열교환관(131)이 배치될 수 있다.
한편, 도 17에서는 열교환관(131)의 입수구(131a)와 출수구(131b)가 탱크몸체(110)의 일측 측면을 관통하는 것으로 도시되어 있지만, 열교환관(131)의 경로는 다양한 변경이 가능하다. 참고로, 도 15에서는 도식의 편의를 위해 열교환관(131)의 출수구(131b)의 위치를 도 17과는 다른 위치에 표시하였다.
이러한 열교환관(131)의 경우에도 냉각관(120)과 마찬가지로 공간상의 나선형상을 가질 수 있다.
도 1 내지 도 14의 실시예에서 설명한 바와 같이, 본 명세서 및 특허청구범위에서 '공간상의 나선 형상'은 도 17 및 도 18에 도시된 바와 같이, 열교환관(131)이나 냉각관(120)이 평면상 전체적으로 원형의 구조를 갖는 형태뿐만 아니라, 평면상 전체적으로 각형의 구조를 갖는 형태를 포함하는 것으로 한다. 즉, '공간상의 나선 형상'은 평면상으로 각형이나 원형 구조를 갖는 것과 관계없이, 연속적으로 형성되되 공간상으로 나사선과 같이 감겨있는 형상을 의미하는 것으로 한다.
이와 같이 열교환관(131)을 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 배치하므로, 열교환관(131)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 16의 D2)이 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 16의 D1)보다 커지게 되고, 이로 인해 열교환관(131)의 가공성, 성형성이 우수하게 된다.
예를 들어, 전술한 바와 같이, 대한민국 공개특허 제2013-0035888호에는 탱크몸체 내부의 좁은 설치공간 내에 일정 길이(일 예로서, 5m 정도) 이상의 열교환관을 확보하기 위하여 열교환관을 거의 180도로 굽힘 가공을 하고 있으나, 이러한 경우에는 굽힘각도가 커서 굽힘 부분에서 터짐이 발생할 수 있으므로 열교환관의 두께를 크게 하여야 했다(SUS 재질의 경우 대략 0.7mm 정도). 그러나, 도 16 내지 도 19에 도시된 본 발명의 일 실시예와 같이 열교환관(131)을 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 배치하는 경우, 열교환관(131)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 16의 D2)이 커지고 이로 인해 열교환관(131)의 두께를 감소시키는 것이 가능하였다(SUS 재질의 경우 대략 0.25~0.3mm까지 감소 가능). 이와 같이, 열교환관(131)의 두께를 줄이면 열교환관(131) 내부를 흐르는 물과, 냉각관(120) 주변에 형성된 얼음(빙축액 포함) 사이의 열교환 효율이 상승하게 되고, 따라서 냉각효율(냉수생성 효율)이 상승하게 된다.
또한, 대한민국 공개특허 제2013-0035888호에는 탱크몸체의 상부에 냉각관이 위치하고, 탱크몸체의 하부에 열교환관이 배치되는 구조를 갖고 있다. 이러한 경우에는 관의 분포가 하부는 조밀한데 비해 상부는 성긴 구조가 되어 탱크몸체의 공간이용 효율이 저하되고 빙축액의 효율적 사용이 어려웠다. 그러나, 도 16 내지 도 19에 도시된 본 발명의 일 실시예와 같이, 열교환관(131)을 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 배치하면 탱크몸체(110)의 상하부 모두에서 관 분포가 일정하므로 공간 이용의 효율이 증가될 뿐만 아니라, 탱크몸체(110)의 상하부에 관계없이 얼음 및 빙축액의 효과적인 사용이 가능하게 된다. 즉, 열교환관(131)의 전체 길이에 대하여 냉각관(120)과의 거리차가 크지 않으므로, 상대적으로 낮은 온도를 갖는 냉각관(120) 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)이 얼음접촉부재(135)와 직접 접촉할 뿐만 아니라, 얼음접촉부재(135)에 냉각관(120) 근처의 낮은 온도의 빙축액이 접촉하므로, 얼음 및 빙축액의 냉기를 효율적으로 사용할 수 있게 된다. 특히, 공개특허 제2013-0035888호의 열교환관(131)은 조밀한 구조를 가지므로 빙축액의 흐름이나 섞임이 원활하지 못하여 빙축액 온도의 불균일이 있는 반면, 도 16 내지 도 19에 도시된 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 전체적으로 인접하여 배치되고, 냉각관(120) 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)이 얼음접촉부재(135)와 직접 접촉하므로 냉각효율이 상승하는 구조를 이루게 된다.
이와 같이, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의하면, 냉각관(120) 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)의 냉기가 얼음접촉부재(135)를 통해 열교환관(131) 및 그 내부를 흐르는 물에 전도에 의해 직접 전달되므로 냉수생성 효율이 상승하는 이점을 얻을 수 있다.
또한, 도 16 및 도 17에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 냉각관(120)과 냉수생성부(130)의 열교환관(131)은 폭 방향(또는 반경방향)으로 일정간격을 유지하도록 구성될 수 있으며, 이를 통하여 얼음접촉부재(135)가 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)과 용이하게 접촉할 수 있는 구조를 확보할 수 있다. 특히, 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131) 사이의 거리가 일정하지 않다면 얼음접촉부재(135)와 냉각관(120) 둘레에 형성된 얼음을 접촉시키기 위하여 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131) 사이의 거리에 따라 얼음접촉부재(135)의 길이(폭)를 조절할 필요가 있지만, 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)이 일정간격을 유지한다면 얼음접촉부재(135)의 길이(폭) 조절이 필요하지 않아 냉수생성부(130)의 제조가 용이해질 수 있다.
이와 같이, 냉수생성부(130)의 얼음접촉부재(135)가 냉각관(120)의 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)과 접촉하므로, 얼음접촉부재(135)가 얼음과 접촉하는 냉수생성부(130)의 길이를 연장하기 위해서 열교환관(131)의 길이방향 높이(도 16의 TH)는 상기 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(도 16의 D1)보다 크게 설정될 수 있다. 이를 통하여, 냉각관(120) 내부의 공간을 작게 하고 얼음접촉부재(135)가 상하방향(길이방향)에 걸쳐 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)과 충분한 접촉을 하는 것이 가능해진다.
이때, 상기 열교환관(131)의 길이방향 높이(TH)는 상기 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(D1)의 1.5배 이상 10배 이하, 바람직하게는 1.5배 이상 5배 이하로 구성될 수 있다. 열교환관(131)의 길이방향 높이(TH)가 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(D1)의 1.5배보다 작다면 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(D1)이 상대적으로 커져서 냉각관(120) 내부의 공간을 효율적으로 이용할 수 없게 된다. 반대로, 열교환관(131)의 길이방향 높이(TH)가 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선의 직경(D1)의 10배보다 크다면 탱크몸체(110)의 길이가 과도하게 커져 냉수기(200)의 내부에 설치할 때 제약이 크게 될 뿐만 아니라, 냉각관(120)이 형성하는 나선(D1)의 직경이 과도하게 작아져 냉각관(120)의 성형이 곤란하게 된다.
한편, 도 16을 참조하면, 상기 얼음접촉부재(135)는 상기 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면으로부터 돌출된 길이(W1)가 상기 열교환관(131)의 외경보다 크게 구성될 수 있다. 즉, 얼음(I)이 직접적으로 열교환관(131)과 접촉하는 경우에는 열교환관(131) 내부를 흐르는 물이 얼 수 있고 이로 인해 열교환관(131)이 동파될 수 있다. 따라서, 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)이 열교환관(131)까지 성장하지 않도록 얼음(I) 생성 두께나 빙축액의 온도를 제어하는 것이 필요하지만, 보다 안정적인 얼음 접촉 구조를 확보하기 위하여 얼음접촉부재(135)의 길이가 일정 정도 긴 것이 바람직하다. 이러한 점을 고려하여, 얼음접촉부재(135)는 열교환관(131)의 외주면으로부터 돌출된 길이(W1)가 상기 열교환관(131)의 외경보다 크게 구성할 수 있다.
그러나, 얼음접촉부재(135)의 길이가 너무 긴 경우에는 얼음접촉부재(135)로 인하여 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131) 사이가 너무 멀어져 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131) 사이의 공간에 비효율이 발생할 뿐만 아니라, 얼음접촉부재(135)가 얼음(I)이 아닌 빙축액과 접촉하는 면적이 커질 수 있고 이러한 경우에는 전도에 의한 열전달 효율이 저하될 수 있다. 이러한 점을 고려하여, 얼음접촉부재(135)는, 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면으로부터 돌출된 길이(W1)가 상기 열교환관(131)의 외경의 5배 이하로 구성될 수 있다.
또한 전술한 바와 같이, 얼음(I)이 직접적으로 열교환관(131)과 접촉하지 않도록 하기 위하여, 상기 얼음접촉부재(135)는 상기 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관(131)의 중심으로부터 돌출된 길이(W2)가 상기 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 중심 사이 거리(DL)의 1/3 이상이 되도록 구성할 수 있다. 이 경우에도, 열교환관(131)의 외주면으로부터 돌출된 길이(W1)가 상기 열교환관(131)의 외경의 대략 5배 이하로 구성될 수 있다.
아울러, 도 16에 도시된 바와 같이, 냉수생성부(130)가 나선 형상을 이루는 경우, 얼음접촉부재(135)는 상기 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 방향의 폭(W)이 이에 수직인 방향의 폭(H)보다 크게 형성되는 것이 필요하다. 즉, 나선 형상을 이루는 열교환관(131)의 상하부에 위치한 얼음접촉부재(135)와의 간섭을 최소화하기 위하여 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 방향에 수직인 방향의 얼음접촉부재(135)의 폭(H)을 유지하면서, 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)과 접촉하도록 구성된, 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 방향의 얼음접촉부재(135)의 폭(W)을 증가시키는 것이 효율적이다.
그리고, 도 16에 도시된 얼음접촉부재(135)는 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 부분이 폭(W)이 반대측보다 더 큰 폭을 갖는 것으로 도시되어 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 부분과 반대 부분의 폭이 모두 연장된 구조를 갖는 것도 가능하다.
한편, 위에서는 얼음접촉부재(135)의 폭(W, W1, W2, H)이나 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 중심 사이 거리(DL) 등을 기준으로 얼음접촉부재(135)의 형상을 한정하였지만, 본 발명에 의한 냉수생성 탱크(100) 및 냉수기(200)는 이러한 얼음접촉부재(135)의 구체적 형상에만 한정되는 것은 아니고, 얼음접촉부재(135)가 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)과 접촉하여 열전달관(131)을 유동하는 물의 냉각이 가능하다면 모두 본 발명의 범주에 속하는 것으로 이해되어야 할 것이다.
그리고, 상기 냉수생성부(130)의 얼음접촉부재(135)는 상기 열교환관(131)의 둘레에 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면과 일체로 형성되거나 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면에 장착되는 다수의 핀(fin) 부재를 포함할 수 있다{이하에서는, 얼음접촉부재 및 핀 부재에 대하여 동일한 도면부호 135로 지칭하기로 한다}.
도 18에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 핀 부재(135)는 소정의 간격을 두고 나선 형상의 열교환관(131)의 외주면에 배치될 수 있다. 참고로, 도 17 및 도 18에서는 핀 부재(135)를 개략적으로 도시하여 핀 부재가 서로 붙어있는 것처럼 표현되어 있지만, 핀 부재 사이의 공간을 통해 빙축액이 열교환관(131)과 접촉할 수 있도록 도 18의 좌측 상단의 확대도에 도시된 바와 같이, 핀 부재(135) 사이에는 소정의 간격이 형성된다. 이때, 핀 부재(135) 사이에는 일정 간격이 유지되도록 배치될 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 또한, 핀 부재(135)는 열교환관(131)이 냉각관(120)과 인접하는 부분에 전체적으로 설치되는 구성을 가질 수도 있지만, 후술하는 도 22에 도시된 바와 같이 연결부재(137)를 통해 복수 개의 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)을 서로 연결하여 냉수생성부(130)를 구성하는 경우 등에는 열교환관(131)에 부분적으로 설치되는 것도 가능하다.
이러한 핀 부재(135)는, 사각형의 단면을 갖도록 구성될 수도 있고, 원형 내지 타원형의 단면을 갖도록 구성될 수도 있다.
또한, 상기 핀 부재(135)는 알루미늄 또는 스테인레스 스틸(SUS)를 포함하는 재질로 형성될 수 있다. 즉, 열교환관(131)의 재질과 동일한 스테인레스 스틸로 이루어질 수 있으며, 열교환 효율을 보다 높이기 위하여 알루미늄 재질로 이루어질 수도 있다. 또한, 상기 열교환관(131)은 부식을 막기 위하여 부식 방지코팅이 이루어질 수 있다.
한편, 도 19에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 냉수생성부(130)는 상기 냉각관(120)의 둘레를 냉각관(120)의 외부에서 감싸는 제1 부분(즉, 냉각관의 외부에 설치된 부분)과, 상기 냉각관(120)에 형성된 나선형상의 내부를 관통하는 제2 부분(즉, 냉각관의 나선 형상 내부에 설치된 부분)을 포함하여 구성될 수 있다. 즉, 냉수생성부(130)를 이루는 열교환관(131)은 냉각관(120)을 나선 형상으로 감싸도록 설치되는 제1 부분과, 상기 제1 부분에서 연장되거나 상기 제1 부분과 연결되어 냉각관(120)의 나선 형상의 중앙을 관통하는 직선 형상의 제2 부분을 포함하여 구성될 수 있다. 또한, 열교환관(131)의 외주면에는 얼음접촉부재(135)가 구비되므로 상기 얼음접촉부재(135)는 냉각관(120)의 둘레에 형성된 얼음(I)과 상기 냉각관(120)의 내외부에서 접촉하도록 구성될 수 있다. 따라서, 도 19에 도시된 변형예의 경우, 얼음과 얼음접촉부재(135)의 접촉면적이 도 16의 경우보다 증가하여 냉각효율이 더욱 증대될 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 20 내지 도 25를 참조하여 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 의한 냉수생성 탱크(100)에 대해 살펴본다.
도 20 내지 도 25과 관련된 냉수생성 탱크(100)는 도 16 내지 도 19를 들어 설명한 냉수생성 탱크(100)와 마찬가지로, 소정 크기의 내부공간에 빙축액이 수용되는 탱크몸체(110)와, 상기 탱크몸체(110) 내에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하기 위하여 상기 탱크몸체(110)의 내부에 구비되는 냉각관(120)과, 유입된 물이 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉수가 되도록 열교환관(131)과 얼음접촉부재(135)를 구비하는 냉수생성부(130)를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
다만, 도 20 내지 도 25에 도시된 냉수생성 탱크(100)는 냉각관(120)과 냉수생성부(130)가 층을 이루도록 구성되며, 탱크몸체(110) 내부에서 상하 방향으로 적층되어 구비된다는 점에서 차이가 있다.
구체적으로, 도 20 내지 도 22에 도시된 냉수생성 탱크(100)는 지그재그 형상으로 형성된 냉각관(120)이 층(120', 120", 120"')을 이루며, 냉각관(120)의 층 사이에 열교환관(130)이 층(130', 130")을 이루어 배치된다.
다만, 도 20 내지 도 22에서는 냉각관(120)이 3개의 층(120', 120", 120"')을 이루고, 열교환관(130)이 냉각관(120) 사이에서 2개의 층(130', 130")을 이루는 것으로 도시하였지만, 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(130)이 하나 이상의 층을 갖는다면 본 발명의 범주에 속하는 것으로 이해되어야 할 것이다.
상기 냉각관(120)은 각층(120', 120", 120"')에서 지그재그 형상을 이루며, 다른 층과 연결되는 구조를 갖는다. 이러한 냉각관(120)은 냉매의 유출을 방지하기 위하여 일체형 또는 용접으로 완전한 결합을 이룰 수 있다.
또한, 냉수생성부(130)의 열교환관(131)은 냉각관(120)과 마찬가지로 일체로 형성된 지그재그 형상을 이룰 수 있고, 열교환관(131)의 외주면에 소정의 간격을 두고 핀 부재(135)가 배치되는 구조를 가질 수 있다.
이와는 달리, 상기 냉수생성부(130)는 제조 용이성을 위해 상기 열교환관(131)과 상기 핀 부재(135)를 구비하는 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)을 복수 개 연결하여 형성될 수 있다. 이때, 상기 냉수냉성부(130)는 도 20에 도시된 바와 같이 전체적으로 지그재그 형상을 이루도록 형성되는 구조를 가질 수 있다. 그러나, 냉수생성부(130)는 층 구조만 이룰 수 있다면 지그재그 형상뿐만 아니라 평면상의 소용돌이 형상 등 다양한 변경이 가능하다.
도 22에 도시된 바와 같이, 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)은 단위 열교환관(131u)의 외주면에 핀 부재(135)가 배치되는 구조를 가진다.
이때, 복수의 상기 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)은 단위 열교환관(131u)의 단부를 서로 연결하는 연결부재(137)에 의해 연결될 수 있다. 이러한 연결부재(137)는 일 예로서, 유연한 재질로 이루어진 튜빙으로 이루어질 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 금속재질의 연결관을 용접 등의 방법에 의해 단위 열교환관(131u)의 단부에 부착하는 것도 가능하다.
또한, 연결부재(137)와 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)의 단부를 밀착시키도록 클램핑 부재(138)가 사용되는 것도 가능하다.
이러한 단위 열교환관 유닛(130u)은 연결부재(137)에 의해 서로 연결되어 지그재그 형상 등을 이루는 단위층(130', 130")을 형성할 수 있고, 이러한 단위층(130', 130")을 냉각관(120)의 상측 또는 하측에 배열하여 복수의 층을 갖는 냉수생성부(130)를 구성할 수 있다. 즉, 하나의 단위층(130', 130")은 각각 열교환관(131', 131")과 핀 부재(135', 135")를 구비하며, 이러한 단위층(130', 130")을 냉각관(120)의 단위층(120', 120", 120"') 사이에 교대로 배치하여 적층구조를 이룰 수 있다.
도 21을 참조하면, 이러한 적층구조를 통하여, 냉수생성부(130)에 구비되는 확장부재(135) 중 적어도 일부는 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)과 양측에서 접촉하는 구조를 가질 수 있다. 즉, 도 21에 도시된 바와 같이, 하나의 단위층(130')에 구비된 핀 부재(135')는 그 상하부에 위치한 냉각관(120)의 단위층(120', 120")에 형성된 얼음(I)과 양측(상하측)에서 접촉하게 되며, 다른 단위층(130")에 구비된 핀 부재(135")는 그 상하부에 위치한 냉각관(120)의 단위층(120", 120"')에 형성된 얼음(I)과 양측(상하측)에서 접촉하게 된다. 다만, 도 21에서는 냉각관(120)의 사이 사이에 냉수생성부(130)의 단위층(130', 130")을 배치하는 구조를 도시하고 있지만, 냉수생성부(130)와 냉각관(120)을 형성하는 단위층의 수, 최외각에 배치되는 단위층의 종류 등에 따라 일부의 확장부재(135)는 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)과 일측에서만 접촉하도록 구성되는 것도 가능하다.
한편, 도 20 및 도 21에 도시된 실시예에서는 냉각관(120)이 이루는 지그재그 방향이 냉수생성부(130)가 이루는 지그재그 방향이 평행한 구조를 갖지만, 도 23 및 도 24에 도시된 변형예의 경우와 같이, 냉각관(120)이 이루는 지그재그 방향이 냉수생성부(130)가 이루는 지그재그 방향과 직각을 이루는 구조를 가질 수도 있다. 이러한 경우에도 도 24에 도시된 바와 같이, 냉수생성부(130)에 구비되는 확장부재(135) 중 적어도 일부는 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)과 양측에서 접촉하는 구조를 가질 수 있다.
또한, 도 25에 도시된 변형예의 경우에는 냉수생성부(130)의 단위층(130', 130")에 구비된 핀 부재(135', 135")가 복수 개의 열교환관(131', 131")을 동시에 연결하는 구조를 도시하고 있다. 도시되지는 않았지만, 단위층(130', 130")을 연결하기 위하여 전술한 연결부재(137)를 사용할 수 있다.
도 25에 도시된 변형예의 경우에는 단위층(130', 130")에 구비된 열교환관(131', 131")을 일체화하는 것이 가능하여 냉수생성부(130)의 제조가 보다 용이해지며, 얼음(I)으로부터의 균일한 열전달을 기대할 수 있다.
한편, 도 20 내지 도 25에 도시된 실시예 및 변형예의 경우에도, 얼음접촉부재(135)는 상기 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관(131)의 외주면으로부터 돌출된 길이(도 16의 W1 참조)가 상기 열교환관(131)의 외경보다는 크게, 그리고 열교환관(131)의 외경의 5배 이하가 되도록 구성될 수 있다. 또한, 상기 얼음접촉부재(135)는 상기 냉각관(120) 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관(131)의 중심으로부터 돌출된 길이(도 16의 W2 참조)가 상기 냉각관(120)과 열교환관(131)의 중심 사이 거리(DL)의 1/3 이상이 되도록 구성될 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 26 내지 도 28을 참조하여 본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 의한 냉수생성 탱크(100)에 대해 살펴본다.
도 26 및 도 27에 도시된 냉수생성 탱크(100)는 냉각관(120)이 냉수생성부(130)의 상부에 위치하며, 냉수생성부(130)의 얼음접촉부재(135)는 상기 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)과 접촉하도록 구성된다.
즉, 도 27에 도시된 바와 같이, 냉수생성부(130)의 열교환관(131)의 외주면에 배치된 얼음접촉부재(135)는 냉각관(120)의 하측에 형성된 얼음(I)과 접촉하는 구조를 갖는다. 이 경우, 얼음접촉부재(135)와 얼음(I)과의 접촉면적을 크게 하기 위하여 상기 얼음접촉부재(135)는 다른 실시예에 비해 냉각관(120) 측으로 충분히 연장된 구조를 갖는 것도 가능하다.
그리고, 도 28에 도시된 변형예의 경우에는 냉수생성부(130)가 냉각관(120)의 하부에 2층 이상 적층되는 구조를 가진다. 이때, 얼음접촉부재(135)는 냉각관(120)에서 멀리 떨어진 냉수생성부(130)에도 얼음(I)과의 접촉에 의한 열전달을 구현하기 위하여, 적층된 냉수생성부(130)의 열교환관(131)과 서로 연결되는 구조를 가질 수 있다.
한편, 도 1 내지 도 14의 실시예에서 언급한 바와 같이, 상기 탱크몸체(110)에 수용된 빙축액은 어는점이 0℃인 물을 사용할 수도 있지만, 빙축액의 열용량(축열량)을 높일 수 있도록 어는점이 0℃ 보다 낮은 프로필렌글리콜 수용액을 빙축액으로 사용하는 것도 가능하다. 이에 대한 상세한 설명은 전술한 바로 갈음하기로 한다.
다음으로, 도 15, 도 16 및 도 29를 참조하여, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 냉수기(200) 및 냉수생성 탱크(100)의 냉수생성 과정에 대해 살펴본다.
도 15, 도 16 및 도 29를 참조하면, 센서부(180)에서 측정된 빙축액의 온도가 설정온도보다 낮거나, 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께)가 설정두께보다 작은 경우, 제어부(C)는 냉각유닛(220)을 구동시켜 탱크몸체(110) 내부에 수용된 빙축액의 온도를 낮추고 냉각관(120)의 외주면에 형성된 얼음(I)을 성장시키게 된다. 참고로, 도 16, 도 19 및 도 24 등에서는 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)이 냉각관(120) 전체에 걸쳐 일정한 두께로 일체로 형성되는 형태로 도시되어 있으나, 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 형상은 냉각관(120) 사이의 피치나 제어되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께) 등에 따라 그 형태가 변할 수 있다.
이에 따라 도 16 및 도 29에 도시된 바와 같이, 냉각관(120)의 외주면에는 일정크기(두께)의 얼음(I)이 형성되고, 빙축액의 온도가 설정값에 도달하거나 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)의 크기가 일정 크기 이상이 되면 제어부(C)는 냉각유닛(220)의 구동을 멈추게 된다.
한편, 제어부(C)는 상기 출수부(230)에서 출수신호가 입력되면 출수부(230)에 구비된 개폐밸브(미도시)를 개방하여 냉수의 추출이 이루어지도록 한다.
이와 같이, 출수부(230)의 개방에 따라 냉수생성부(130)를 흐르는 물은 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉각되어 출수코크를 통해 사용자에게 제공된다.
이러한 출수과정에서 냉수생성부(130)의 열교환관(131)을 유동하는 물은 얼음접촉부재(135)와 접촉하는 얼음(I)의 냉기를 전도에 의해 전달받아 열교환하므로 열교환 효율이 극히 높게 된다. 이로 인해 열교환관(131)의 길이를 짧게 할 수 있어 열교환관(131) 길이 증가에 따른 유량감소도 최소화할 수 있게 된다.
실험에 의하면, 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I) 및 이와 직접 접촉하는 얼음접촉부재(135)의 표면 온도는 0℃이지만, 얼음(I)과의 경계면에서의 얼음접촉부재(135)의 온도는 대략 0.6 ~ 0.8℃이고, 열교환관(131)의 표면 온도는 1~2℃로 측정되었다. 이와 같이, 열교환관(131) 표면의 온도가 얼음(I)과 접촉하는 얼음접촉부재(135)에 의해 크게 영향을 받고, 이로 인해 열교환관(131) 내부를 유동하는 물과의 열교환이 활발하여 냉수생성 효율이 크게 증대됨을 확인할 수 있다.
특히, 얼음접촉부재(135)의 길이(폭)가 길수록 초기에 얼음접촉부재(135)와 얼음(I)의 접촉면적이 넓어지므로 얼음(I)에 의한 축열량이 커질 수 있다. 즉, 얼음접촉부재(135)와 얼음(I)의 접촉면적이 넓을수록 냉수생성시 열교환에 따라 얼음(I)이 녹더라도 오랜 시간 동안 일정온도 이하의 냉수추출량이 증대되는 효과가 커지게 된다.
이와 같이, 본 발명에 의하면, 냉수생성부(130)를 구성하는 열교환관(131)의 외주면에 얼음접촉부재(135)를 구성하고, 이를 얼음(I)과 접촉하도록 함으로써 빙축수의 순환을 위한 펌프장치나 교반장치에 의하지 않고도 충분한 양의 냉수생성을 달성할 수 있다. 다만, 본 명세서에서는 빙축수의 순환구조나 교반구조를 예시하지는 않았지만, 본 발명의 냉수생성 효과를 더욱 향상시키기 위하여 빙축수 순환구조나 교반구조를 채택할 수 있음은 물론이며, 얼음접촉부재(135)에 부가된 빙축수 순환구조 및/또는 교반구조도 본 발명의 범주에 포함되는 것으로 보아야 할 것이다.
또한, 본 발명에 의하면 얼음(I)과 얼음접촉부재(135)의 직접 전도에 의한 열전달을 구현하고 있으므로 빙축액의 전체 체적을 적게 하는 것이 가능하고, 빠른 열교환과 높은 열교환 효율로 인하여 열교환관(131)의 길이를 짧게 하는 것이 가능해지므로 열교환관(131)의 길이 증대에 따른 유량 감소도 최소화할 수 있다는 이점이 있게 된다.
한편, 냉수생성 과정에서, 센서부(180)에서 감지된 온도가 설정온도보다 낮거나 냉각관(120)에 형성되는 얼음(I)의 크기(두께)가 설정두께보다 작은 경우 냉각유닛(220)이 구동될 수 있다.
그리고, 사용자가 냉수 추출을 종료하여 폐쇄신호가 제어부(C)에 입력되면, 제어부(C)는 개폐밸브를 폐쇄하게 된다. 이때, 냉각유닛(220)의 구동은 개폐밸브 폐쇄신호가 입력된 직후에 정지될 수도 있지만, 빙축액의 온도가 설정값에 도달하거나 냉각관(120)에 형성된 얼음(I)의 크기가 일정 크기 이상이 될 때까지 냉각유닛(220)의 구동이 계속되도록 제어하는 것도 가능하다.
이상에서 본 발명의 실시예에 대하여 상세하게 설명하였지만 본 발명의 권리범위는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니고, 청구범위에 기재된 본 발명의 기술적 사상을 벗어나지 않는 범위 내에서 다양한 수정 및 변형이 가능하다는 것은 당 기술분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게는 자명할 것이다.
특히, 도 1 내지 도 14에 도시된 실시예의 경우에도 도 15 내지 도 29에 도시된 바와 같이 확장부재(135)로서 얼음접촉부재가 사용되는 것도 가능하며, 도 15 내지 도 29에 도시된 실시예의 경우에도 도 1 내지 도 14에 도시된 실시예에 구비된 순환부(140) 및 차단부재(190)가 설치되는 것도 가능하다.

Claims (54)

  1. 냉각유닛에 의하여 냉각되는 빙축액을 내부에 수용하는 탱크몸체;
    상기 탱크몸체 내에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하기 위하여 상기 탱크몸체의 내부에 구비되는 냉각관; 및
    유입된 물이 빙축액과 열교환하여 냉수가 되는 유로를 형성하는 열교환관과, 빙축액과 접촉면적을 넓히기 위하여 상기 열교환관의 외주면에 위치한 확장부재를 구비하는 냉수생성부;
    를 포함하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 탱크몸체의 내부에 수용된 빙축액을 순환시키는 순환부;
    를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  3. 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 냉수생성부는 상기 냉각관의 둘레를 감싸는 형태로 상기 탱크몸체의 내부에 설치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  4. 제3항에 있어서,
    상기 순환부는 상기 냉각관에서 상기 냉수생성부 방향으로 빙축액을 분사하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  5. 제3항에 있어서,
    상기 냉각관은 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루며,
    상기 열교환관은 상기 냉각관의 둘레를 감싸는 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  6. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 열교환관의 길이방향 높이는 상기 냉각관이 형성하는 나선의 직경보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  7. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 열교환관의 길이방향 높이는 상기 냉각관이 형성하는 나선의 직경의 1.5배 이상 10배 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  8. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 열교환관이 형성하는 나선 직경과 상기 냉각관이 형성하는 나선 직경의 차이는 상기 냉각관이 형성하는 나선 직경의 0.5배 이상 4배 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  9. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 냉각관 및 열교환관은 길이방향의 사이 사이에 공간이 형성되는 형상을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  10. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 순환부는 상기 냉각관의 나선 형상의 중앙부분에서 빙축액을 분사하여 빙축액이 상기 냉각관에 형성된 얼음을 지나 상기 냉수생성부로 유동하도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  11. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 순환부는, 상기 냉각관의 나선 형상 중앙부분에 상기 냉각관의 길이방향을 따라 배치되어 상기 냉각관에 빙축액을 분사하는 분사부재와, 상기 탱크몸체 내부의 빙축액을 흡입하여 상기 분사부재로 공급하는 펌핑부재를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  12. 제11항에 있어서,
    상기 순환부는 상기 탱크몸체 내부의 빙축액을 상기 펌핑부재로 공급하는 흡입부재를 추가로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  13. 제12항에 있어서,
    상기 흡입부재는 상기 냉수생성부의 둘레와 상기 탱크몸체 사이의 공간에 설치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  14. 제12항에 있어서,
    상기 흡입부재는 상기 냉수생성부의 둘레에 소정 간격으로 복수 개 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  15. 제11항에 있어서,
    상기 분사부재는 상기 냉각관의 길이방향을 따라 연장되며, 다수의 분사홀을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  16. 제11항에 있어서,
    상기 펌핑부재는 상기 탱크몸체의 내부에 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  17. 제11항에 있어서,
    상기 순환부는 상기 분사부재에서 분사된 빙축액이 상기 펌핑부재로 바로 유입되는 것을 차단하기 위하여 상기 분사부재와 펌핑부재 사이의 유동을 제한하는 차단부재를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  18. 제17항에 있어서,
    상기 차단부재는 상기 냉각관이 형성하는 나선의 직경보다 큰 직경을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  19. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 냉각관과 냉수생성부는 원형의 나선 형상을 이루면서 일정간격을 유지하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  20. 제5항에 있어서,
    상기 냉각관 사이의 피치와 상기 냉수생성부 사이의 피치는 동일하거나 배수의 관계를 가지며,
    상기 냉수생성부는 상기 냉각관 사이의 공간에 대응되는 위치에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  21. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 확장부재는 상기 열교환관의 외주면에서 돌출되는 형상을 가지며 상기 냉각관의 둘레에 형성된 얼음과 접촉하는 얼음접촉부재로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  22. 제21항에 있어서,
    상기 냉수생성부는 상기 냉각관의 둘레를 감싸는 형태로 상기 탱크몸체의 내부에 설치되며,
    상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관의 둘레에 형성된 얼음과 접촉하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  23. 제22항에 있어서,
    상기 냉각관은 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루며,
    상기 열교환관은 상기 냉각관의 둘레를 감싸는 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  24. 제23항에 있어서,
    상기 냉각관과 냉수생성부는 원형의 나선 형상을 이루면서 일정간격을 유지하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  25. 제23항에 있어서,
    상기 열교환관의 길이방향 높이는 상기 냉각관이 형성하는 나선의 직경보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  26. 제23항에 있어서,
    상기 열교환관의 길이방향 높이는 상기 냉각관이 형성하는 나선의 직경의 1.5배 이상 10배 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  27. 제21항에 있어서,
    상기 냉수생성부는 상기 냉각관의 둘레를 감싸는 제1 부분과, 상기 냉각관의 내부를 관통하는 제2 부분을 포함하며,
    상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관의 둘레에 형성된 얼음과 상기 냉각관의 내외부에서 접촉하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  28. 제21항에 있어서,
    상기 냉각관과 상기 냉수생성부는 층을 이루도록 구성되며, 상기 탱크몸체 내부에서 상하 방향으로 적층되어 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  29. 제28항에 있어서,
    상기 냉수생성부에 구비되는 얼음접촉부재 중 적어도 일부는 상기 냉각관에 형성된 얼음과 양측에서 접촉하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  30. 제21항에 있어서,
    상기 냉각관은 상기 냉수생성부의 상부에 위치하며,
    상기 냉수생성부의 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관에 형성된 얼음과 접촉하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  31. 제30항에 있어서,
    상기 냉수생성부는 상기 냉각관의 하부에 2층 이상 적층되며,
    상기 냉수생성부의 얼음접촉부재는 2층 이상의 상기 냉수성성부와 연결되도록 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  32. 제1항 내지 제31항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 확장부재는 상기 열교환관의 둘레에 상기 열교환관의 외주면과 일체로 형성되거나 상기 열교환관의 외주면에 장착되는 다수의 핀(fin) 부재를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  33. 제32항에 있어서,
    상기 열교환관은 일체로 형성된 원형의 나선 형상을 이루며,
    상기 핀 부재는 소정의 간격을 두고 상기 열교환관의 외주면에 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  34. 제32항에 있어서,
    상기 냉수생성부는,
    상기 열교환관과 상기 핀 부재를 구비하는 단위 열교환관 유닛을 복수 개 연결하여 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  35. 제33항에 있어서,
    복수의 상기 단위 열교환관 유닛은 상기 단위 열교환관 유닛의 단부를 서로 연결하는 연결부재에 의해 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  36. 제35항에 있어서,
    상기 연결부재는 유연한 재질로 이루어진 튜빙인 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  37. 제34항에 있어서,
    상기 냉수생성부는 상기 단위 열교환관 유닛을 복수 개 연결하여 전체적으로 공간상의 나선 형상을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  38. 제32항에 있어서,
    상기 핀 부재는 사각형 단면 또는 원형 단면을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  39. 제32항에 있어서,
    상기 핀 부재는 상기 냉각관과 인접한 부분의 폭이 핀 부재의 높이보다 길게 형성되어 냉각관 측으로 연장된 구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  40. 제32항에 있어서,
    상기 핀 부재는 알루미늄 또는 스테인레스 스틸를 포함하는 재질로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  41. 제32항에 있어서,
    상기 열교환관은 일체로 형성된 지그재그 형상을 이루며,
    상기 핀 부재는 소정의 간격을 두고 상기 열교환관의 외주면에 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  42. 제34항에 있어서,
    상기 핀 부재는 복수 개의 열교환관을 동시에 연결하는 구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  43. 제36항에 있어서,
    상기 냉수생성부는 상기 단위 열교환관 유닛을 복수 개 연결하여 전체적으로 지그재그 형상을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  44. 제43항에 있어서,
    상기 냉수생성부는,
    상기 단위 열교환관 유닛을 복수 개 연결하여 전체적으로 지그재그 형상을 이루는 단위층을, 상기 냉각관의 상측 또는 하측에 배열하여 복수의 층을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  45. 제21항 내지 제31항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관의 외주면으로부터 돌출된 길이가 상기 열교환관의 외경보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  46. 제45항에 있어서,
    상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관의 외주면으로부터 돌출된 길이가 상기 열교환관의 외경의 5배 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  47. 제21항 내지 제31항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관 측을 향한 부분에서, 상기 열교환관의 중심으로부터 돌출된 길이가 상기 냉각관과 열교환관의 중심 사이 거리의 1/3 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  48. 제21항 내지 제31항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
    상기 얼음접촉부재는 상기 냉각관 측을 향한 방향의 폭이 이에 수직인 방향의 폭보다 크게 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수생성 탱크.
  49. 제1항 내지 제31항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 냉수생성 탱크;
    상기 탱크몸체에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하도록 상기 냉각관과 연결된 냉각유닛; 및
    상기 냉수생성부에서 생성된 냉수를 추출하기 위해 개폐되는 출수부;
    를 포함하는 냉수기.
  50. 제49항에 있어서,
    상기 냉각유닛은 압축기, 응축기, 팽창기를 구비하는 냉각 사이클을 형성하며,
    상기 냉각관은 냉각 사이클의 증발기에 대응되는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수 기.
  51. 제49항에 있어서,
    상기 탱크몸체에 수용된 빙축액의 온도와 상기 냉각관에 형성되는 얼음의 크기 중 적어도 하나를 측정하도록 구비되는 센서부; 및
    상기 센서부에서 측정된 값을 이용하여 상기 냉각유닛의 구동을 제어하는 제어부;
    를 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수기.
  52. 제49항에 있어서,
    상기 탱크몸체에 수용된 빙축액은 어는점이 0℃ 보다 낮은 수용액인 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수기.
  53. 제2항 내지 제20항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 냉수생성 탱크;
    상기 탱크몸체에 수용된 빙축액을 냉각하도록 상기 냉각관과 연결된 냉각유닛;
    상기 냉수생성부에서 생성된 냉수를 추출하기 위해 개폐되는 출수부;
    상기 탱크몸체에 수용된 빙축액의 온도와 상기 냉각관에 형성되는 얼음의 크기 중 적어도 하나를 측정하도록 구비되는 센서부; 및
    상기 센서부에서 측정된 값을 이용하여 상기 냉각유닛 및 순환부의 구동을 제어하는 제어부;
    를 포함하는 냉수기.
  54. 제53항에 있어서,
    상기 제어부는 상기 출수부에서 출수신호가 입력되면 상기 순환부를 제어하여 빙축액을 순환시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 냉수기.
