Abstract
A detachable protective case (1) for an electronic device, e.g. a fuel cell, has a plurality of panels (2-5) each separated from, and coupled to, an adjacent panel by a hinge section (15-18). The panels are foldable relative to one another between a first configuration forming a three dimensional enclosure, and a flat-packed second configuration in which the panels are all coplanar or parallel to one another. The magnetic latching of the panels enables the case to be easily assembled and collapsed repeatedly without degradation of the case. At least one of the panels is further configured to have an axially-dependent thermal conductivity with a higher inplane thermal conductivity so that the temperatures of the case outer surfaces are more uniform.
