Definitions
- Gloves for the skilled trades have typically been made of leathers, which are expensive and offer little design choices for manufacturers. In addition, leather does not breathe adequately. Therefore, gloves having an injection molded component adhered to a fabric liner were developed. Molded components provide a three-dimensional molded palm portion to enable the glove to fit users.

- the fabric liner 102 may be knitted using a main yarn, i.e., a single layer, or with a plaited yarn knitted with the main yarn, i.e., a multi-layer liner. Additionally, the knitted fabric liner may comprise high performance yarns, such as high-performance polyethylene (HPPE).
