  • the present invention relates to a dishwasher, in particular a domestic dishwasher with a half load function.
  • a user may need to operate from time to time a domestic dishwasher even when the upper rack and the lower rack are not completely loaded with dishes. In such instances, the valuable resources including fresh water, electrical energy and detergent are unnecessarily wasted. In general, in a prior at dishwasher, most of the energy is needed for heating and circulating the wash liquor. To improve customer convenience, the dishwashers are usually provided with a half load function. Dishwashers with the half load function are commonly known. In such a dishwasher the user can choose to conduct the washing with only one of the upper rack and the lower rack, and its associated rotating spray arm.
  • EP 1 726 246 A1 discloses a prior art domestic dishwasher which has the half load function.
  • An objective of the present invention is to provide a dishwasher which overcomes the drawbacks of the prior art in a cost effective way and which enables and an improved energy and water use efficiency.
  • the dishwasher of the present invention comprises a partition plate which is releasably mountable between the upper part of the tub and the lower part of the tub.
  • the partition plate has a surface area which is slightly smaller than the horizontal cross section of the tub.

La présente invention concerne un lave-vaisselle (1) comprenant une cuve (2a), une porte pivotante (2b), des paniers extractibles supérieur et inférieur (3, 4), des moyens de pulvérisation supérieur et inférieur (5, 6) et un moyen d'alimentation (7) permettant d'alimenter de manière sélective les moyens de pulvérisation supérieur et inférieur (5, 6) en liquide de lavage. Le lave-vaisselle (1) selon la présente invention comprend en outre une plaque de séparation (8) qui est montée amovible entre les parties supérieure et inférieure (9, 10) de la cuve (2a).
