Abstract
La présente invention concerne un système de manipulation de matériaux (10) à des fins d'utilisation dans la fabrication d'articles cousus qui comporte un module de rail configurable (20) ayant une pluralité de sections de rail directionnelles (201, 202, 203, 203a, 204, 204a), les sections étant en mesure d'être reliées de façon détachable les unes par rapport aux autres pour former un agencement souhaité des rails, et une pluralité de transporteurs (40) montés de manière détachable sur les sections de rail à des fins de transport des matériaux entre des stations de travail. Chacun des transporteurs (40) comporte un moyen de commutation électromécanique (42) qui permet au transporteur de naviguer automatiquement d'une section de rail à une autre section de rail. Lors de l'utilisation, le moyen de commutation électromécanique (42) est activé pour changer la direction du transporteur (40) et permet au transporteur de dévier d'une section de rail à une autre section de rail de manière automatique. De manière avantageuse, le système de manipulation de matériaux (10) permet d'obtenir un module de rails simple, flexible et configurable (20) qui est comparativement peu coûteux et qui est d'une construction facile. De plus, l'invention concerne également un transporteur (40) qui fonctionne de manière précise et qui peut être installé et démonté facilement et rapidement par rapport à une section de voie (201, 202, 203, 203a, 204, 204a).
