- the OTN apparatus A transmits “1” in the DM byte of the OTU frame.
- the OTN apparatus B that has received the DM byte “1” sets “1” in the DM byte of the OTU frame and transmits it back.
- the OTN apparatus A calculates the RTT by subtracting the measurement start time t0 from the measurement end time t1 when the DM byte “1” is received from the OTN apparatus B.

- the RTT measurement unit 17 acquires time information at the time of transmitting an OTU2 frame in which “1” or “0” is added to the overhead DM byte from the OTU2OH generation unit 12, and overhead from the OTU2OH termination unit 15 The time information at the time of receiving the OTU2 frame in which “1” or “0” is added to the DM byte is acquired.
- the RTT measurement unit 17 determines the difference between the transmission time of the DM byte of the OTU2OH generation unit 12 and the reception time of the corresponding DM byte in the OTU2OH termination unit 15, specifically, OTU2 in which “1” is added to the overhead DM byte. The difference between the transmission time of the frame and the reception time of the corresponding OTU2 frame with “1” added to the overhead DM byte, or the transmission time and overhead DM of the OTU2 frame with “0” added to the overhead DM byte The difference from the reception time of the corresponding OTU2 frame with “0” added to the byte is calculated. - the frequency of the OTU2 frame is “delay measurement device 1 ⁇ measurement target device 3”, that is, the delay measurement device 1 has a lower transmission frequency of the OTU2 frame.
- the diagram on the left shows the relationship between the number of measurements and the measured RTT

- 3 shows the DM byte transmission / reception timing. Note that in the diagram on the left side of FIG. 5, the number of measurements may be the elapsed time.
- the RTT value is about the time corresponding to the frame length of the OTU2 frame after the RTT value continuously decreases, as shown in FIG. Repeat to increase.
- the increase of the time corresponding to the frame length is an error due to the DM bit reception timing in the measurement target apparatus 3. Therefore, in the delay measuring apparatus 1, when the RTT change detecting unit 18 detects an increase in the value of the RTT, that is, when it repeatedly detects a change in which the value of the RTT continuously increases and then increases,
- the determination unit 19 determines the RTT value at the timing before the RTT value increase detection is detected by the RTT change detection unit 18 as the minimum value, that is, the RTT value with the least error.

In FIG. 6, when the measured RTT changes from (c) to (d), the RTT change detection unit 18 detects a decrease in RTT by about the time corresponding to the frame length. When the measured RTT is (d), the RTT determination unit 19 determines that the RTT has the least error.
- the RTT change detection unit 18 detects a decrease in RTT about the time corresponding to the frame length a plurality of times, and the RTT determination unit 19 calculates the RTT corresponding to a plurality of times (d) among the measurement results.
- RTT may be regarded as the RTT with the smallest error.
- the RTT determination unit 19 may regard the smallest RTT among the RTT measurement results as the RTT with the smallest error. .
- FIG. 7 shows the difference in the frame transmission frequency between the delay measuring device 1 and the measurement target device 3, that is, the difference between the measurement period and the RTT measurement resolution due to the frequency deviation.

- (A) shows a case where the frequency deviation is small
- (b) shows a case where the frequency deviation is large.
- the number of measurements may be the elapsed time.
- the measured RTT value is changed from the 1220 ms period to the 305 ms period and repeatedly decreases or increases.
- the time required until RTT determination, that is, the measurement period can be reduced to 1 ⁇ 4.
- the RTT measurement resolution decreases from ⁇ 122 ps to ⁇ 488 ps.
- the measurement period and the RTT measurement resolution are in a trade-off relationship.
- the delay measurement apparatus 1 when the CPRI signal is encapsulated and transferred with a frame having a known frame length, the delay measurement apparatus 1 performs RTT measurement with the measurement target apparatus 3.

- Embodiment 2 RTT measurement with a higher granularity is possible compared to conventional RTT measurement using DM bits.
- the delay measurement device or the measurement target device changes the transmission frequency of the OTU2 frame when the frequency deviation between the devices is large and the RTT measurement resolution does not reach the desired granularity.

- FIG. 17 is a diagram illustrating a variation in delay time based on a change in the RTT value measured by the RTT measurement unit 17 of the delay measurement apparatus 1e according to the fourth embodiment and a frequency deviation detected by the frequency deviation detection unit 23. .

- the vertical axis represents the delay time between the delay measurement device 1e and the measurement target device 3, that is, the delay time between devices.
- the delay time between devices includes the value of RTT.
- the RTT value monotonously decreases in the portion surrounded by the dotted circle.
- the jitter detected by the frequency deviation detector 23 is detected as shown in the diagram on the right side of FIG.
- the delay time indicated by the included frequency deviation that is, the delay time fluctuation including jitter, does not decrease monotonously, but tends to decrease while repeating the vertical fluctuation.
- three white circles are RTTs measured by the RTT measurement unit 17 at intervals of the RTT measurement period.
- the dotted lines passing through the three white circles indicate the slope of the delay time fluctuation detected from the RTT measured by the RTT measurement unit 17, that is, the change in the RTT value detected by the RTT change detection unit 18a. Also, in the diagram on the right side of FIG. 17, the dotted line that does not pass through the three white circles and passes through the delay time fluctuation including jitter indicates the slope of the original delay time fluctuation that does not include jitter.
- the original delay time fluctuation that does not include jitter is a delay time fluctuation when the frequency deviation detected by the frequency deviation detector 23 does not include a noise component.

- the change in the RTT value is represented by the slope of the delay time fluctuation detected from the RTT value shown in the right diagram of FIG. To detect.
- the RTT change detection unit 18a since the RTT value is affected by jitter, the frequency deviation of the frame transmission frequency between the delay measurement device 1e and the measurement target device 3 calculated from the RTT value is not included. An error will be included.
- the RTT value measured by the RTT measurement unit 17 is influenced by jitter, and the RTT measurement period in the RTT measurement unit 17 is not sufficiently fast with respect to the jitter component.
- the change in the RTT value that is, the slope of the delay time variation detected from the RTT value

Is detected to detect the frequency deviation of the frame transmission frequency between the delay measuring device 1e and the measurement target device 3.
- the frequency deviation detector 23 can detect the frequency deviation at a cycle faster than the RTT measurement cycle at the RTT measurement unit 17. Further, the frequency deviation detection unit 23 can detect a frequency deviation of a frequency component higher than the RTT measurement period in the RTT measurement unit 17.
- the frequency deviation detected by the frequency deviation detection unit 23 is used for digital filter signal processing, which is higher than when digital filter signal processing is performed using the RTT measurement period in the RTT measurement unit 17. It becomes possible to reduce the jitter component of the frequency component.
- FIG. 18 is a diagram illustrating an example of a transmission clock and a reception clock detected by the frequency deviation detection unit 23 of the delay measurement apparatus 1e according to the fourth embodiment.
- the frequency deviation detector 23 detects how many reception clocks are counted within a unit time with reference to the transmission clock, and uses the number of transmission clocks within the unit time and the counted number of reception clocks to determine the frequency. An example of conversion into a deviation is shown.
- the frequency deviation detection unit 23 counts 6 reception clocks while counting 5 transmission clocks, and thus can detect a frequency deviation corresponding to one clock. .
- the number of clocks per unit time is arbitrary. However, if the unit time is too small with respect to the frequency deviation, the number of clocks to be counted may not be easily changed and may not be effective. Therefore, the number of clocks per unit time considering the frequency deviation is used. Further, the frequency deviation detector 23 may use a clock that is a reference in unit time as a reception clock.
- FIG. 19 is a diagram illustrating another example of the transmission clock and the reception clock detected by the frequency deviation detection unit 23 of the delay measurement apparatus 1e according to the fourth embodiment.
- the frequency deviation detector 23 counts the transmission clock and the reception clock
- the transmission clock and the reception clock are within the unit time, that is, within the measurement interval, such as 6/5 times the transmission clock shown in FIG. It is desirable to fit everything.
- the end timing of the measurement interval that is, n times the cycle of the transmission clock, does not always correspond to m times the cycle of the reception clock.
- n and m are integers, and may be the same value or different values.
- the transmission clock and the reception clock are not necessarily in the same phase at the start timing of the measurement section.
- the frequency deviation detection unit 23 when the transmission clock and the reception clock are counted intermittently in detecting the frequency deviation, that is, when the measurement section is set to be different from FIG. 19, the transmission clock and the reception clock at the start of measurement.
- the error of the detected frequency deviation becomes large due to the influence of the difference in the phase. Therefore, in the frequency deviation detection unit 23, it is desirable that the measurement sections are continuous as shown in FIG. In the frequency deviation detection unit 23, when the measurement sections are continuous, the error due to the phase relationship is always included in the preceding and subsequent measurement sections.
- the frequency deviation detection unit 23 is not limited to this when the phase information including phase information can be acquired in each measurement section, and the frequency deviation may be detected by intermittent measurement sections.
- the RTT change detection unit 18a performs digital filter signal processing using the RTT value measured by the RTT measurement unit 17 and the frequency deviation detected by the frequency deviation detection unit 23, and the RTT measurement unit 17 The jitter is reduced from the RTT value measured in (1). Specifically, the RTT change detection unit 18a performs digital filter signal processing on a delay time variation including jitter that is a frequency deviation detected by the frequency deviation detection unit 23. As described above, the RTT value detected by the RTT measurement unit 17 appears on the delay time fluctuation including jitter. The RTT change detection unit 18a performs the digital filter signal processing on the delay time variation including the jitter, so that the RTT measurement unit 17 measures the RTT value among the delay time variation including the jitter after the digital filter signal processing. At this time, the delay time between the devices becomes the RTT value in which the jitter is reduced with respect to the RTT value measured by the RTT measurement unit 17.
- the RTT change detection unit 18a When all the jitter can be removed ideally by the RTT change detection unit 18a, the RTT value with the reduced jitter appears on the original slope of the delay time variation that does not include the jitter, as shown on the right side of FIG. It will be. That is, when all the jitter can be ideally removed by the RTT change detection unit 18a, the change in the RTT value obtained from the RTT value with the reduced jitter does not include the jitter shown in the right diagram of FIG. The delay time fluctuation slope. Therefore, when all of the jitter can be removed ideally, the RTT change detection unit 18a detects an increase in RTT based on the slope of the original delay time fluctuation that does not include jitter obtained by digital filter signal processing. Can do.
- the RTT change detection unit 18a detects an increase in RTT using the RTT value obtained by the digital filter signal processing.
- the subsequent operation of the RTT change detector 18a is the same as that of the RTT change detector 18 of the first embodiment.
- the RTT determination unit 19 Based on the change in the value of the RTT with reduced jitter, the RTT determination unit 19 performs the RTT with the least error when the change in the value of the RTT starts from a decrease to an increase, that is, when (a) shown in FIG. As a result, the RTT value to be adopted is determined.
- the measurement resolution determination unit 20 determines the RTT measurement resolution in its own device based on the frequency deviation detected by the frequency deviation detection unit 23 acquired via the RTT change detection unit 18a.

- the present invention can also be applied to a case where a function for changing the transmission frequency is provided in the measurement target apparatus 3a.
- the RTT change detection unit 18a notifies the transmission frame phase change unit 22 of information on the frequency deviation detected by the frequency deviation detection unit 23, and the measurement resolution determination unit 20 Information on the RTT measurement resolution determined based on the frequency deviation detected by the frequency deviation detector 23 is notified to the transmission frame phase change unit 22.
- the present invention can also be applied to the case where a function for changing the transmission frame phase is provided in the measurement target device 3b.
- the frequency deviation detection unit 23 uses the transmission clock and the reception clock, and the frequency is faster than the RTT measurement period of the RTT measurement unit 17. Detect deviations. Then, the RTT change detection unit 18a performs digital filter signal processing using the frequency deviation detected by the frequency deviation detection unit 23, thereby reducing noise components such as jitter included in the RTT value. Abstract
