     前記ペダルブラケットの支持軸によって回動可能に配設され、踏込み操作に用いられる踏部を下端に有する操作ペダルと、を有し、
     前記ペダルブラケットが前記ダッシュパネルと共に運転席側へ後退させられた場合に、前記車体側部材との相対変位に伴って、当該ペダルブラケットを座屈させながら曲げ変形させることによって、前記操作ペダルの踏部における運転席側への後退量を抑制するペダル後退量抑制装置であって、
     前記ペダルブラケットは、
     前記車両の車幅方向の一方側に位置し、前記ダッシュパネルに対して固定された第1側板と、
     前記車幅方向の他方側において前記ダッシュパネルに対して固定されると共に、前記車幅方向の他方側へ円弧状に張り出した膨出部を有する第2側板と、
     前記第1側板と前記第2側板の間を連結する背板と、を有し、
     前記背板の下端部において、前記第1側板及び前記第2側板に対して接合される側板接合部と、
     前記側板接合部の上部で、且つ、前記車幅方向の一方側において折曲されて前記第1側板に対して接合されており、前記背板の変形に伴って車幅方向に移動することにより、前記第1側板の座屈を促す座屈変形補助部と、
     前記座屈変形補助部に隣接して形成され、前記車幅方向の他方側へ向かう前記座屈変形補助部の移動を規制する規制部と、を有する
    ことを特徴とするペダル後退量抑制装置。
