Definitions
- the invention is developed In order to be used in livestock sector and especially relates to a feed which comprises dextrose, niacin and vitamins A, D and E in order to increase milk yield and reproductive efficiency in bovines and which provides digestion said content in small intestine by covering them with by-pass fat.
- milk yield and reproductive efficiency is early lactation period.
- dairy cattle have a lower dry matter consumption but higher milk yield.
- the dairy cattle must be fed with rations comprising the highest possible energy and protein in this period.
- Days before the birth the dry matter consumption of cattle reduce about 2 to 4 kilograms and this reduction continues after the birth.
- the reduction reaches its peak only around 10 to 12 weeks after the birth.
- milk yield reaches its peak around 40 to 60 days after birth.
- dairy cattle encounter the situation called negative energy balance in early lactation period.
- Ketosis disease is characterized by a blood beta hydroxybutyric acid level higher than 1400 ⁇ mol/L
- the milk yield of the dairy cattle that have ketosis reduces approximately 3-5.3 L/day.
- Ketosis disease not only reduces milk yield of dairy cattle but also show negative effects on their reproductive efficiency. It is proven by research that the dairy cattle, which rapidly lose weight and get ketosis, experience reproductive efficiency problems.
- the invention which relates to feed supplement covered with by-pass fat in order to increase milk yield and reproductive efficiency eliminates mentioned disadvantages, prevents ketosis and hypocalcemia diseases and increases immune system and reproduction performances by means of the vitamins it contains.
- the niacin comprised in the product has features protecting liver and lowering BHBA amount in the blood.
- Vitamin D added to the rations in order to provide protection from hypocalcemia reduced hypocalcemia incidence in dairy cattle.
- vitamin D comprised in the product participates in this situation.
- Vitamins A and E comprised in the product are used in order to increase immune system and reproduction performances of the animals.
- Milk fat and rumen microorganisms are negatively affected by the fact that the amount of unsaturated fatty acids active in the rumen is plenty in the feed.
- the purpose of using by-pass fat in feeding highly productive dairy cattle is to prevent the fats from the effect of the microorganisms located in the rumen and provide their passage from omasum and to small intestine and their digestion there.
- fractionized fats are obtained by fractioning by a special method (distillation of the raw material into layers) and being passed through standardization, cold spray and covering processes. They have more homogenous granular structure and lighter color. Although the hydrogenated and fractionized fats have lower digestibility due to the physical structure of the fatty acids they comprise and their bond structures, as they are treated with special chemical processes during their production, they have a homogenous granular structure and their smell does not have a negative effect on feed consumption, in terms of tastiness, fractionized fats are the better than the rest. Their most important characteristic is that they affect the milk fat more positively than the preserved fats.
- the product comprises dextrose, niacin and vitamins A, D and E. Ail of these ingredients are covered with bypass fat, made indigestible in the rumen and the digestion thereof is provided to occur in the small intestine. The chemical content of one kilogram of the product is given below. The remaining amount is referred to as by-pass fat.
