Abstract

In the case of a device with a shield (1) against dirt whirled up by the rear wheel (2) of a racing bike (3) or the like and with a holder (4) for said shield (1) for attaching to the frame or to the seat post (5) of the racing bike (3), the shield (1) has at least two tyre levers (6, 6', 6"), the width (8) of which is equal to or larger than the tyre width of the rear wheel (2), wherein said tyre levers (6, 6', 6") each have, at the two ends (7, 8) thereof, plugs which are compatible with one other and by means of which, by said plugs being plugged together and by a resulting mutual extension of the tyre levers (6, 6', 6") in a common plane, a splash guard (1) can be constructed extending away from the holder (4) substantially horizontally to the rear at least partially over the rear wheel (2) in the plane of rotation thereof, wherein the holder (4) is designed in such a manner that said holder can be plugged together with a corresponding end (7 or 8) of a tyre lever (6, 6', 6").
