Abstract

Gauge for cutting hair, comprising: - a first longitudinal edge (11) for bearing against the scalp, - means for extending the hair, in the form of a clip having two opposing articulated plates and a spring for pressing said plates together, constituting the body (2) of said gauge, - and a second longitudinal edge (21) for guiding the cutting instrument along a predetermined path with respect to the longitudinal bearing edge (11); characterized in that the body of the gauge comprises at least one removable element (6) for adjusting the cutting height, said element (6) being disposed at the second longitudinal edge (21) in the upper part of said gauge body, so as to offset the longitudinal guiding edge of the cutting instrument with respect to the longitudinal bearing edge (11).

Description

The present invention relates to the field of hairdressing, in particular the cutting of the hair, and more particularly to a guiding jig of the cutting instrument.

The first cutters for the hair are the scissors, which require a certain dexterity of the user to achieve a regular cut with the help of simple combs to lift the hair of the scalp.

Other cutting instruments are also used, in the form of razors or clippers which are secured to the comb teeth, which guide the cutting instrument by resting on the scalp, the cutting length of the hair being selected in using more or less long or thick teeth. However the haircuts obtained with these instruments certainly have a certain regularity (thus avoiding the "holes" or "scales"), but are necessarily not elaborate.

In order to enable persons not very experienced in the art to make haircuts, have been proposed in the patent FR 2,666,207 templates having an edge or bearing surface on the scalp, means for straightening the hair, and means for guiding the cutting instrument along a predetermined path with respect to the edge / bearing surface. The cutting instrument is then moved along said path, the support edge of the template keeping its position on the scalp.

The simplest of these templates is in the form of a clamp comprising two hinged plates facing each other and a spring to apply them against each other, at least one of the plates having a first longitudinal edge adapted to take pressing on the scalp while the second opposite longitudinal edge defines said predetermined path. To perform said cutting operation, the user places this clamp transversely on the scalp, with the two plates enclosing a strand of hair previously stretched, then uses the cutting instrument to cut the hair protruding from said second longitudinal edge.

However, since the first longitudinal edge bears directly on the scalp, the user does not have the choice of cutting height when he follows the second longitudinal edge with his cutting instrument. It must therefore have as many templates as desired cutting heights.

A first object of the invention is therefore to provide a template for haircut adjustable height.

To solve this problem, it has been proposed in US Pat. No. 4,520,565 to adapt "feet" to templates for the haircut, projecting from the first longitudinal edge and resting directly on the scalp, so as to separate said scalp template and thus shift the cutting path. These feet are small removable parts that can easily be lost or lost by the user.

In addition, such feet do not correspond to a longitudinal bearing surface on the scalp but are localized support points, more unpleasant on the scalp of the person to be combed, and much less stable during cutting, in particular for areas of the scalp other than the top of the head (crown, sides, neck).

Another object of the invention is to overcome the above drawbacks by providing a jig-shaped template, comprising means for modulating the cutting height of the hair.

For this purpose the template for haircut according to the invention comprising: a first longitudinal edge of support on the scalp,

means for straightening the hair, in the form of a clamp comprising two hinged plates facing one another and a spring for applying them against one another, constituting the body of said jig,

and a second longitudinal edge for guiding the cutting instrument along a predetermined path with respect to the longitudinal edge of support; characterized in that the template body comprises at least one removable cutting height adjustment element disposed at the second longitudinal edge of said template body, so as to shift the longitudinal guiding edge of the cutting instrument. relative to the longitudinal edge of support. The user thus has the possibility of choosing the removable element according to the desired cut.

During the implementation of the template, the removable element is in the upper part of the body of the template, the bearing surface on the scalp corresponding to the first longitudinal edge (in the lower part still called the base of the template) is thus entirely retained. The template is thus more stable. Compared to US Pat. No. 4,520,565, there is no risk that a "foot" will be declipped, or will fall off or fall.

According to a first variant of the invention, the element for adjusting the cutting height is slidably mounted at the level of the second longitudinal edge of at least one of the plates of the body of the jig according to a second variant of the invention. , the cutting height adjustment element is clipped on the second longitudinal edge of at least one of the plates of the template body.

The template thus provides a good hold of the lock of hair which, once inserted into the entire clip, remains taut and held in place during its cutting.

According to advantageous embodiments of the template according to the invention:

one of the plates, or both plates, of the clamp forming the body of the template has a longitudinal edge able to bear on the scalp;

- said longitudinal bearing edge of the template on the scalp is preferably curved, to adapt to the curvature of the scalp, in certain areas of the skull;

- One of the plates, or both plates, of the clamp forming the body of the template has (s) a longitudinal guiding edge of the cutting instrument.

The present invention also relates to a kit for producing a haircut comprising at least one template conforming to that described above, at least one adjustment element, preferably a plurality of adjustment means, adapted to ) to said template, and at least one cutting instrument. According to a preferred embodiment, the cutting instrument is a clipper, the shoe comprises notches for receiving the longitudinal guiding edge of the template.

Referring to the figures, the jig 1 according to the present invention generally consists of a body 2 and a handle 4. When used for cutting the hair, it is positioned substantially orthogonally to the scalp 5 on which it rests, via its first longitudinal edge 11 support (lower edge in Figures 1 to 8) . This first longitudinal edge 11 is of curved shape to match the curvature of the scalp 5 in the area where the template is intended to be positioned.

The opposite edge, called the second longitudinal edge 21 (or upper edge in Figure 1) of the body 2 of the template 1 can serve as a guiding edge of the cutting instrument, such as scissors or a hair trimmer 8 . According to the invention this guide edge is advantageously raised by means of an element 6 said adjustment of the cutting height. Said adjustment element 6 is example adapted to the edge 21 by sliding along said edge 21. A new longitudinal edge 31 for guiding the cutting instrument is thus created, able to increase the cutting height of the hair 7 protruding from the element 6 booster. Several adjustment elements 61, 62 may be superimposed, as shown schematically in Figures 5 to 8, to further enhance the body 2 of the template 1, creating a new longitudinal guiding edge 41 of the cutting instrument. This longitudinal guide edge may have various shapes, some variants of which are shown in FIGS. 5 to 8: edge parallel to the upper edge of the body 2 of the template (FIG. 5), inclined edge (FIG. 6), curved edge (FIG. 7) , sawtooth edge (Figure 8), depending on the desired cut and / or possible patterns to achieve.

This plurality of elements 6 of various shapes and sizes offers the user a greater variety of possibilities than the prior art clips.

As shown diagrammatically in FIGS. 9 and following, the jig 1 according to the invention is in the form of a clamp comprising two plates 2A and 2B disposed facing one another which are hinged along an axis 9 and held in a fixture against each other by means of a spring 10.

These two plates 2A and 2B are, in the example presented here, of the same dimensions, having longitudinal (lower) bearing edges 11 on the scalp close to one another and longitudinal (upper) edges of guidance close to each other. Alternatively one of the plates of the clamp could be smaller, the longitudinal edge of support on the scalp and / or the longitudinal guiding edge of the cutting instrument of a first plate can be shifted relative to respectively to the longitudinal bearing edge on the scalp and / or the longitudinal guiding edge of the cutting instrument of the second plate. Only one of the plates, or both plates in the example shown schematically in Figure 9B, has (s) a groove 22 formed on the first longitudinal edge 21 in which slides a projecting portion 23 of the removable element 6 adjustment. The upper edge of this first adjustment member may also be provided with an upper groove for receiving an additional adjustment member, as shown in Figures 5 to 8. Between these two plates 2A and 2B is disposed the lock of hair 7 to cut, protruding from the element 6 booster. The entire template may have different shapes, as shown diagrammatically in FIGS. 10 to 14, to adapt to the different zones 12, 13 and 14 (see FIG. 15) of the scalp 5 (such as the top of the skull 12, the sides 13 neck 14) and / or the desired cutting style.

The cutting kit according to the invention can thus contain different jigs 1, and an assortment of elements 6; 61, 62 adjustment. It can also be completed with one or more cutting instruments.

For the area corresponding to the nape 14, having shorter hair, the template 1, according to the present invention, can be replaced by a template according to the parallel patent application filed on the same day as the present application.

Claims

1. Template (1) for a haircut, comprising:

a first longitudinal support edge (1 1) on the scalp,

means for straightening the hair, in the form of a clamp comprising two plates (2A, 2B) hinged together and a spring for applying them against each other, constituting the body (2) of said template,

anda second longitudinal guiding edge (21) of the cutting instrument along a predetermined path with respect to the longitudinal bearing edge (1 1);

the body (2) of the jig comprising at least one removable cutting height adjustment element (6) disposed at the second longitudinal edge (21) in the upper part of said body (2) of the jig, so as to shift said jig longitudinal guiding edge of the cutting instrument with respect to the longitudinal bearing edge (1 1), characterized in that the two plates (2A, 2B) of the clamp forming the body (2) of the template have a longitudinal edge able to take support on the scalp (5).

2. Template (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the element (6) for adjusting the cutting height is slidably mounted at the second longitudinal edge (21) in the upper part of at least one plates (2A.2B) of the body (2) of the template.

3. Template (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the element (6) for adjusting the cutting height is clipped on the second longitudinal edge (21) of the upper part of at least one of the plates. (2A, 2B) of the body (2) of the template.

8. Kit for performing a haircut comprising at least one template (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, at least one adjustment element (6; 61, 62), preferably a plurality of means adjustment, adapted to said template, and at least one cutting instrument.

9. Kit according to claim 8, characterized in that the cutting instrument is a mower (8), the shoe comprises notches for receiving the longitudinal guiding edge (21; 31; 41) of the template (1).
