- An audio system comprising a host device and an audio device that communicates with the host device via a communication unit
- the audio device includes an amplifier including a volume control unit, and a control unit that sets a volume value in the volume control unit,
- the control unit receives an instruction value for instructing a volume value to be set in the volume control unit from the host device via the communication unit, and uses the instruction value and a volume value set in the volume control unit.
- An audio system that compares a set value and transmits an instruction signal based on the comparison result to the host device via the communication unit.
- the instruction signal is a signal that requests the host device to lower the volume value;
- the control unit transmits the instruction signal to the host device via the communication unit, and receives an instruction value updated according to the instruction signal from the host device via the communication unit.
- a communication method of an audio device capable of communicating with a host device An instruction value indicating a volume value to be set in the volume control unit of the audio device is received from the host device, The received instruction value is compared with a set value that is a volume value set in the volume control unit, A volume value control method for transmitting an instruction signal based on the comparison result to the host device.
- the instruction signal is a signal requesting the host device to lower the volume value;
- the volume instruction value instructed by the host device is set in the volume control unit and volume (volume) adjustment is performed. Further, the audio device can operate even when not connected to the host device (standalone). There is a risk that a loud sound is suddenly emitted from a speaker or an earphone when a large volume value is instructed from the host device connected to the host device in a state where the volume value is a stand-alone. Therefore, according to the present invention, in this case, a signal requesting to lower the volume value is transmitted to bring the indicated value closer to the current set value.
- the instruction value is gradually brought closer to the set value to search for a suitable instruction value. This process is terminated when the instruction value is equal to or less than the set value, and the closest value that is equal to or less than the set value can be set as the final value of the instruction value.
- the second volume value synchronization processing outputs a signal requesting the host device to increase the instruction value by one step.
- An instruction value increasing process that repeats the process of receiving a new instruction value from the host device may be included. Further, in the second volume value synchronization process, the instruction value increase process may be terminated when the instruction value becomes equal to or greater than the set value.
- the instruction value is changed as in the case where the instruction value is larger than the setting. It can be close to the set value.
- the control unit increases the set value by one step when the first button is operated, and the second button is operated. Sometimes the set value may be lowered by one step.
- the audio system of the present invention includes a host device and an audio device that communicates with the host device via a communication unit.
- the audio device includes an amplifier including a volume control unit, and a control unit that sets a volume value in the volume control unit.
- the control unit receives an instruction value indicating the volume value to be set in the volume control unit from the host device, temporarily ignores this instruction, and is the volume value set in the volume control unit.
- the set value and the comparison result is “indicated value> set value”
- a signal requesting the host device to lower the volume value is sent and a new indicated value is received from the host device. Execute volume value synchronization processing.
- the audio device, the audio system, and the volume value control method according to the present invention even when the volume value stored in the host is completely different from the volume value currently set in the audio device, it is synchronized at the time of connection. This is useful in that it can provide an audio device or an audio system that prevents sudden loud sounds from being emitted.
