A security exterior door comprising covers (B, B1, B2, B3) on the edges of the door panel (A) and the edges of the frame (T).

Description

Description
Improved security exterior door.
The present patent application for utility model relates to a security exterior door provided with covers on the edges of the door panel and on the edges of the frame.
The present invention was developed in the sector of security exterior doors, which are composed of a frame fixed to the wall and of a door panel hinged to the said frame.
Security doors are formed of a set of elements that make up a structure intended to be a sort of thief-proof barrier.
In addition to providing a security structure, the installation of the said doors must be made by specialized personnel, considering that only a correct installation will guarantee the security that is required from a security door.
The installer must evaluate the type of masonry in order to choose the most appropriate anchoring system and adjust the structure to the technical features of the door if the structure is not strong enough.
The frame of the exterior door must be fixed to the masonry wall by means of clamps or the like, the number of which depends on the type of masonry and on the security level to be achieved.
The frame installed in the masonry wall must be made of steel. The frame and the hinges must be adjusted in such manner that the door panel, which is very heavy, can close easily without any friction.
The metal structure of the door panel of a security door is covered with wooden panels both on the external side, which is faced towards the outside of the building, and on the internal side, which is faced towards the inside of the building.
The said wooden panels only have an aesthetic function in such manner that, while carrying out its main technical function, the security exterior door guarantees a good aesthetics in line with the style of the house both outside and inside the building.
Security exterior doors are classified according to the tests that are carried out to indicate the security level offered by the door if a burglar attempts to force it.
The elements that guarantee the security of a security door are the compliance certification that requires a galvanized steel frame with thickness not lower than 20/10 (2 mm), which is preferably shaped in order to be more resistant.
Since the steel frame must be especially resistant in the places where it can be forced, a frame made of folded plate is preferred.
Likewise, also the door panel made of galvanized steel must be made with folded section. Insulation material can be inserted inside the profile in order to improve the thermal and acoustic insulation.
In other words, a security exterior door is provided with a structure that is characterized by the steel edges of the door panel and of the frame where the door panel is intended to be stopped when the exterior door is closed.
While, on one side, when the security exterior door is closed, the said steel edges are not visible, on the other side the said steel edges are inevitably visible when the exterior door is closed.
The sector of security exterior doors is evolving continuously, and offers products that represent the perfect integration between maximum security and accurate aesthetics.
The security door frames offer the possibility of providing scope for protection without renouncing beauty.
State-of-the-art technology, carefully selected materials, and accurate design are only some of the valuable elements of modern security door frames.
The purpose of the present invention is to devise a new type of security exterior door that is able to overcome the aforementioned limits and offer maximum customization options. The security exterior door of the invention comprises a series of covers (B, B1 ,B2,B3) that cover the perimeter edges (1 ,2,3,4) of the door panel (A) and the perimeter edge (5,6,7,8) of the frame (T), except for the lower crosspiece (8) of the frame (T) which is intended not to remain visible when the security exterior door is installed.
The said covers may have the same surface finish of the panels used to cover the door panel in such manner that the security exterior door seems to be completely made of the same material, such as for example wood.
In view of the above the security exterior door can be made in such manner that it is aesthetically identical to the doors installed inside the house also when the door panel is open. More precisely, the purpose of the invention is to avoid that the panels used to cover the main sides of the security exterior door have the same finish and color, whereas the iron frame remains visible on the edges of the door panel or the frame when the security exterior door is opened.
For explanatory reasons, the description of the security exterior door according to the present invention continues with reference to the attached drawings, which only have an illustrative, not limiting value, wherein:
