Abstract

22.2 채널과 같은 멀티 채널 신호를 5.1 채널로 렌더링 하는 경우, 2차원 출력 채널을 이용해 3차원 음향 신호를 재생할 수 있지만 렌더링된 음향 신호들은 스피커의 레이아웃에 민감하게 작용하여 설치된 스피커의 레이아웃이 표준 레이아웃과 다른 경우 음상의 왜곡이 발생하게 된다. 본 발명은 전술한 종래 기술의 문제점을 해결하며, 설치된 스피커의 레이아웃이 표준 레이아웃과 다른 경우라도 음상의 왜곡을 줄일 수 있도록 하기 위한 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 음향 신호를 렌더링하는 방법은, 복수 개의 출력 채널로 변환될 복수 개의 입력 채널을 포함하는 멀티채널 신호를 수신하는 단계; 수평 입력 채널이 적어도 두 개의 수평 출력 채널로 패닝되는 경우, 수평 입력 채널과 적어도 두 개의 출력 채널간의 맵핑 관계를 획득하는 단계; 및 획득된 맵핑 관계에 기초하여, 각 출력 채널에 대응하여 수평 입력 채널에 적용할 음색 필터 계수들을 획득하는 단계;를 포함한다.
