Abstract

The invention relates to an illumination system (A) comprising at least one operating device (1) for operating illumination means, comprising a control device (10), which transmits and receives digital control commands, wherein the operating devices (1) are controlled in terms of brightness and preferably colour by means of control commands, wherein the control device has a receiver for the radio signal of a radio-controlled clock, the control device (10) is designed for detecting the clock time with reference to the radio signal of the radio-controlled clock and for determining a/the current light colour of the external light with reference to the detected clock time, the control device (10) sends a colour command as control command to at least one operating device independently of the determined light colour, the operating device adapts the control of the illumination means according to the received colour command.
