Abstract

A chordless truss element method and combined node bridge, wherein the unit elements in the combined node bridge are connected in advance end-to-end into a truss/pier combined overall node structure, forming a combined overall node structure that can be transported and dismantled in one piece; furthermore, the unit elements can directly form a truss segment when connected, thus ensuring the integrity of the nodes and the structure when subjected to forces; furthermore, by means of the truss/pier combined overall node structure, and especially the shear connectors, the discrete unit elements form an integrated truss segment; a top chord and a bottom chord are not necessary, greatly facilitating lifting during construction, and accomplishing construction of steel web members without scaffolding.
