Attaching an additional layer on top of a printed surface of a laminate web requires an extra coating or laminating step after printing. It is typical that a label stock provider or manufacturer transmits a laminate or label web to a printing press of a printer or converter, where printing is applied on a surface of the web.
- Plastic containers are washed at lower temperatures compared to glass containers, for example. Wash temperature of plastic bottles is 65-75°C. A plastic container typically exhibits heat shrinkage during wash. Plastic containers are usually crushed during the wash. The plastic container and the label on it may be crushed into small pieces, for example in the order of 1 x1 cm. In this case a label may be removed from some of the pieces of the container with aid of reduced adhesive force and shrinkage of the container due to washing conditions. Expansion of a label layer next to the container may enhance this removal. Pieces of labels are attached to some pieces of containers. Smaller area of attachment between article and label may require less time and/or smaller force in order to be detached from a piece of article. Securing maintaining ink and adhesive between label layers is important factor in this application.

Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un film à étiquette imprimé, le procédé comprenant l'utilisation d'un film à étiquette imprimé comportant une première couche et une première couche adhésive, le découpage à l'emporte-pièce du film à étiquette de façon à former une pluralité de formes prédéfinies pour le film à étiquette, et la réserve d'un pont non découpé entre les formes individuelles pour former un film à étiquette imprimé comportant une pluralité de formes individuelles jointes les unes aux autres. Un appareil pour fabriquer ladite bande continue d'étiquettes et étiquette imprimée obtenue à l'aide du procédé selon l'invention sont en outre décrits.
