Abstract

Es wird eine Vorrichtung zur Untersuchung der Meeresbodenbeschaffenheit vorgeschlagen, welche eine Antriebseinheit zur Bewegung der Vorrichtung durch das Wasser, wobei die Antriebseinheit ein U-Boot zum Schleppen der Hydrofonanordnung unter Wasser umfasst, eine Schallquelle zum Aussenden von Schallwellen in Richtung des Meeresbodens, eine Hydrofonanordnung mit einer Mehrzahl von Hydrofonen zum Aufnehmen der von der Schallquelle ausgesendeten und vom Meeresboden reflektierten Schallwellen und eine Auswerteeinheit zur Bestimmung der Meeresbodenbeschaffenheit in Abhängigkeit der mittels der Hydrofonanordnung aufgenommenen Schallwellen aufweist.
