Abstract
This invention relates to a joint system for building elements consisting of bearing, hermetic and flexible framework constructions intended for construction in cubic format or enclosing volume format. The sealing surface of the joint consists of two, three or even a plurality of thermal break steps.
Description
Joint system for building elements
This invention relates to a joint system for building elements consisting of bearing, hermetic and flexible framework constructions intended for structures in cubic for- mat or enclosing volume format.
Current assembly systems for prefabricated building elements and non- prefabricated building elements have conventional "straight" element edges with a cross-section varying in length depending on the thickness of the element, which in turn, correlates with the insulating capacity of the element, called the U-value. So far, it has been difficult to achieve high air tightness combined with a thermal break in such passages between elements. The problems relate to the construction of the e¾m ritS (stability) arid* the1 dimensional tolerances and the weight of the construction, among other things. There, is a plurality, of different material components for solving, this problefli, , Ai se- lection of such materials is presented below:
polyethylene sill plate caulking,
PVG and polyethylene sealing tape,
butyl bead compound,
butyl tape,
insulating, tape,
bitumen board,
joint foam,
oakum tape,
primer strips of polyethylene cellular plastic,
silicone strips,
covering plates,
etc. Finnish Patent Application 20115021 can be cited as prior art; this application relates to building elements for multi-unit dwellings and single-unit dwellings which consist of a fully or partly covering building board, made e.g. of a mixture of gypsum and paper, or alternatively of glass fibre, wood fibre or cement-based plates fastened to bolts made of wood/steel. The plates are fastened to the bolts by gluing and screwing/nailing in accordance with a NO building system, the method providing stable hermetic cells in the entire thermal break building element.
This invention relating to joint systems for building elements is characterised by the fact that the sealing surface of the joint consists of two, alternatively three and even more steps. In this context, we point out that the sealing surface has a length significantly greater than those of prior art constructions (cross-sectional area). At the same time, the multi-layer structure provides a thermal break within the steps owing to the displacement of the plate materials forming the hermetic cells.
Various embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims of the set of claims.
The invention can be called "NO steps", which will be used as a trademark for the joint system.
The invention NO steps creates opportunities for industrial prefabricated building and assembly in accordance with Len Construction/Lean Production. NO steps consists of two or alternatively a plurality of steps integrated in a building element o in windows and door frames. NO steps provides more stable building elements.
NO steps provides a dimensional tolerance that is not only more accurate but also more flexible.
NO steps can provide more light-weight building elements.
NO steps allows more rapid assembly.
NO steps provides a thermal break.
NO steps provides a hermetic construction not only with respect to climate shells but also between different apartments. Each apartment may have heat measurement of its own.
NO steps can be used in the entire construction, such as floors, walls and ceilings. NO steps is applicable to bushings through climate shells or between apartments. NO steps has integrated swiveling.
NO steps provides enhanced rapidity and air tightness in the mounting of windows and doors.
NO steps comprises insulating and sound-absorbent sealing.
The invention is exemplified in greater detail with 3 steps with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which
Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view of a part of the joint system for building ele- ments. S denotes plates, L denotes displaced air cells, D denotes seals and X denotes swivels.
Figure 2 illustrates joint systems between a climate shell K and floor joists B, or alternatively a wall LS between apartments. D denotes a seal and X a swivel.
Figure 3 illustrates a joint system between an outer corner/an inner corner.
Figure 4 illustrates a joint system for roof/climate shells.
Figure 5 illustrates a joint system between floor joists B and/or a separating wall LS.
Figure 6 illustrates the mounting of windows and doors. K denotes a climate shell, X denotes a swivel, D denotes a seal, 1 denotes a frame with NO steps for windows and doors, 2 denotes a window casement or a door and 3 denotes a window glass or a door leaf, and
Figure 7 illustrates a joint system between two climate shells and a column or a beam with NO steps made of wood, metal or concrete.
