- OFDM is a method of encoding digital data on multiple carrier frequencies (e.g., sub-channels). OFDM can be thought of as a frequency division multiplexing scheme used as a digital multi-carrier modulation method. Coded or encoded as used here refers to the use of forward error correction.
- the power assignments are such that sub-channels of SI ramp up, and power levels of S2 ramp down.
- SI and S2 are viewed as one composite signal with combined subchannels, the power levels ramp up (starting from the lower band adjacent to one licensed band) to a maximum, then ramp down towards the upper band.
