This inhalation aid (10) is attached to an inhaler (100) that at least includes: an inhalation opening (110); a storage chamber (130) for storing an oral powder (P) within a container (120); an airflow passage (140) that connects the inhalation opening and the storage chamber; and an outside-air inlet (150) for guiding outside air into the storage chamber. This inhalation aid is characterized by being a hollow member in which one end thereof is provided with a mounting part (20) that mounts to the inhalation opening, the other end thereof is provided with a mouthpiece (30), and a one-way valve (40) that only allows the passage of air during inhalation is further provided within said hollow member, wherein the open cross-sectional area (A1) of the mouthpiece is larger than the open cross-sectional area (A2) of the storage chamber. This inhalation aid thus demonstrates the Venturi effect, resulting in a larger (faster) air flow rate within the storage chamber and increased suction.

Description

Oral powder inhalation aid
The present invention relates to an inhalation assisting device for ensuring that a powder inhalant can be ingested by being attached to an inhalation port of a container containing an oral powder such as a powder drug or a powder supplement.
Inhalers are used to take powdered drugs and powder supplements (hereinafter collectively referred to as “oral powder”) by oral inhalation.
In a general inhaler, when oral powder stored in a storage chamber in a container is inhaled from the suction port, air is introduced into the storage chamber from an outside air inlet provided in the container, and the oral powder is rolled up by this air. The mechanism moves into the oral cavity through the suction port (see Patent Document 1).
When ingesting oral powder with an inhaler, the success or failure depends largely on the skill of the user compared to ingestion by infusion or internal use.
The inventor of the present application investigated the actual inhalation of powdered anti-influenza drugs (see Non-Patent Document 1) and clarified that the following problems exist.
(1) A single suction may leave the powder in the container, and a plurality of suctions may be required before the specified amount is sucked.
(2) About 10% of people under the age of 9 failed to inhale, and most of the causes were accidentally inhaled.
In view of the above investigation results, the conventional technique such as Patent Document 1 has the following problems.
In other words, after a single inhalation, the oral powder actually remains in the container, but it is difficult to visually confirm it, so it is misrecognized that the inhalation was successful, and the intake amount However, there is a possibility that sufficient effects cannot be obtained because the amount is less than the prescribed amount.
In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide an inhalation assisting device capable of effectively ingesting an oral powder in a container by being attached to an inhalation port of the container in which the oral powder is stored.
The inhalation aid of the present invention introduces an intake port, a storage chamber for storing oral powder in a container, an air flow passage connecting the suction port and the storage chamber, and outside air into the storage chamber. The outside air inlet is attached to an inhaler having at least one mounting portion to be attached to the suction port at one end portion, a mouthpiece at the other end portion, and the inside of the inhaler only for inhalation. A hollow member having a one-way valve that allows passage, wherein the opening cross-sectional area of the mouthpiece is larger when the opening cross-sectional area of the storage chamber and the opening cross-sectional area of the mouthpiece are compared. And
Further, the opening diameter of the mouthpiece is different from the opening diameter of the mounting portion.
Moreover, it is provided with a collar portion extending radially outward from the outer peripheral surface.
The mouthpiece has a filter for preventing accidental ingestion of foreign matter.
When the user holds and sucks the mouthpiece in a state where the mounting portion of the inhaler of the present invention is attached to the suction port of the inhaler, the oral powder in the storage chamber is formed by the air introduced into the storage chamber from the outside air inlet. It is rolled up, moves in the air flow passage with air, passes through the one-way valve, and reaches from the mouthpiece to the oral cavity.
In the present invention, since the opening cross-sectional area of the mouthpiece is larger than the opening cross-sectional area of the storage chamber, when the flow rate of air in the mouthpiece and the flow rate of air in the storage chamber are compared by the venturi effect, The flow velocity of the air in the storage chamber is larger (faster).
Thereby, even if a user is a weak person, such as an elderly person, a child, a patient, etc., the flow velocity of the air in a storage chamber can be increased. That is, since the effect of increasing the suction force can be obtained, the amount of the oral powder remaining in the container after a single suction can be greatly reduced, and the oral powder can be effectively ingested.
In addition, although elderly people and children may inadvertently blow air into the inhaler, the present invention includes a one-way valve that allows the passage of air only during inhalation, so air has been inadvertently blown. In this case, the one-way valve functions to prevent a situation where air flows backward into the air flow passage and the storage chamber.
In addition, when the user is an infant, the meaning of inhalation cannot be understood, that is, what operation should be performed to inhale may not be understood. In the present invention, when an infant performs a malfunction other than inhalation such as blowing, the function of the one-way valve prevents air from moving through the mouthpiece, so that the malfunction cannot be performed (operation is blocked). And, after repeating trial and error several times, only when normal operation (inhalation operation) is performed, the function of the one-way valve allows air and oral powder to move through the mouthpiece, so that they can be inhaled. Infants can understand sensuously what actions (inhalation) are necessary for inhalation.
In addition, by making the opening diameter of the mouthpiece different from the opening diameter of the mounting portion, it is possible to prevent the user from accidentally mounting the mouthpiece on the suction port.
In addition, by providing a buttocks, when the user (especially an infant) tries to put the inhalation aid into the mouth, the buttocks get caught in the lips. Can be prevented.
In addition, by providing a filter, even if the one-way valve is removed from the fixed position, it can be caught by the filter and thus prevent accidental ingestion.

[First Embodiment]
Hereinafter, a first embodiment of an inhalation assisting device of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the inhalation assisting device 10 is a hollow member that is schematically composed of a mounting portion 20, a mouthpiece 30, and a one-way valve 40.
The mounting portion 20 is a hollow member having an elliptical cross section provided at one end of the inhalation assisting device 10.
The mounting portion 20 is designed so that the cross-sectional shape of the inner surface of the mounting portion 20 and the cross-sectional shape of the outer surface of the suction port 110 are substantially the same in order to be mounted on the suction port 110 of the inhaler 100 shown in FIG. ing.
The mouthpiece 30 is a hollow member having an elliptical cross-sectional shape provided at the other end of the inhalation assisting device 10, and the user performs a suction operation with the mouthpiece 30 held in the mouth.
The cross-sectional shape of the mouthpiece 30 is larger than the cross-sectional shape of the mounting part 20. For example, when the minor axis of the inner surface of the elliptical mounting part 20 is 14 mm and the major axis is 16 mm, the elliptical mouse The short diameter of the inner surface of the piece 30 is 16 mm, and the long diameter is 18 mm, which are slightly larger.
Further, by making the opening diameter of the mouthpiece 30 different from the opening diameter of the mounting portion 20, it is possible to prevent the user from accidentally mounting the mouthpiece 30 to the suction port 110.
Although the detailed description will be given later, the mouth cross-sectional area of the mouthpiece 30 is designed to be larger than that of the housing chamber 130 in the inhaler 100.
In the present embodiment, a taper portion 50 is provided that gradually changes the short diameter and the long diameter so as to connect the end of the mounting portion 20 and the end of the mouthpiece 30.
The one-way valve 40 is a thin oval member attached to the inner surface of the mounting portion 20. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 2, a part of the periphery of the one-way valve 40 is fixed to the inner surface of the mounting portion 20, and swings in the front-rear direction (air movement direction) with the fixed portion as a fulcrum. It can be moved. Further, a stopper 41 is attached to the inner surface of the mounting portion 20 at a position facing the fixed portion of the one-way valve 40.
FIG. 4 shows an example of an internal structure in a state where the inhalation assisting device 10 is attached to the inhaler 100.
The inhaler 100 includes an inhalation port 110, an accommodation chamber 130 for accommodating the oral powder P in the container 120, and the inhalation port 110 and the accommodation chamber 130, similarly to a generally known inhaler. At least an air flow passage 140 to be connected and an outside air inlet 150 for introducing outside air into the storage chamber 130 are provided.
Next, a method for using the inhalation assisting device 10 will be described.
As shown in FIG. 5A, when the user performs an inhalation operation, that is, when air moves from the mounting portion 20 side toward the mouthpiece 30 side (the direction of the arrow in the figure is the direction in which the air flows). The one-way valve 40 tilts toward the mouthpiece 30 under the pressure of air. As a result, a gap S is formed between the one-way valve 40 and the inner surface of the mounting portion 20, and air and oral powder P reach the oral cavity through the gap S. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 5B, when the user accidentally performs the blowing operation, that is, when the air moves from the mouthpiece 30 side toward the mounting portion 20 side, the air pressure is received. When the one-way valve 40 tilts toward the mounting portion 20 and collides with the stopper 41, the gap S between the one-way valve 40 and the inner surface of the mounting portion 20 is closed, and the backflow of air and oral powder P occurs. And these are prevented from being ejected to the outside from the outside air inlet 150.
Further, as described above, the opening cross-sectional area A1 of the mouthpiece 30 is designed to be larger than the opening cross-sectional area A2 of the storage chamber 130 (see FIG. 4). Therefore, when the user holds the mouthpiece 30 and sucks it, the air passing through the accommodation chamber 130 is faster than the flow velocity of the air passing through the mouthpiece 30 due to the venturi effect, and the suction force is further increased. can get.
In addition, the material of the inhalation assisting device is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include plastic resin, silicone resin, metal, rubber, and the like, or a combination thereof as appropriate.
Also, the structure of the inhaler is not particularly limited. For example, as shown in FIG. 6, two container chambers 201 and 202 are provided in one container 200, and left and right containers can be accommodated by sliding left and right. It may have a structure for inhaling each oral powder P accommodated in the chambers 201 and 202.
Further, the one-way valve 40 may be attached to the inner surface of the mouthpiece 30.
Moreover, the shape of the mounting part 20, the mouthpiece 30, and the one-way valve 40 is not limited to an ellipse, and may be a regular circle or a polygon.
[Second Embodiment]
Next, a second embodiment of the inhalation assisting device of the present invention will be described, but the same reference numerals are given to portions having the same configuration as the first embodiment, and the description thereof will be omitted.
As shown in FIG. 7A, the inhalation assisting device 300 according to the present embodiment is characterized in that it includes a collar portion 301 and a filter 302.
The collar portion is a circular member extending radially outward from the outer peripheral surface of the tapered portion.
The outer diameter of the buttocks is not particularly limited, but if the user of the inhalation assisting device 300 is an infant, the infant will try to put the inhalation assisting device 300 into the mouth if it is approximately 40 mm or more. In this case, since the collar 301 is caught on the lips, accidental ingestion of the inhalation assisting device 300 can be prevented.
The position where the collar portion 301 is provided is not necessarily the Taber portion 50, and may be the outer peripheral surface of the mouthpiece 30 or the mounting portion 20. Moreover, the shape of the collar part 301 does not necessarily need to be circular, and may be elliptical or rectangular.
The filter 302 is a member provided at the opening of the mouthpiece 30 and includes a ring portion 302a and a cross-shaped bar 302b that are fitted into the inner peripheral surface of the opening.
The filter 302 is provided in order to prevent accidental ingestion of foreign matter, and examples of the foreign matter include the one-way valve 40 and the stopper 41 that have been removed from the fixed portion.
The shape of the filter 302 is not limited to a cross shape, but it is necessary to have an eye roughness that does not hinder the flow of air during inhalation.
In the present embodiment, the inhalation assisting device 300 includes both the flange portion 301 and the filter 302. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and as illustrated in FIG. Only the filter 302 may be provided as shown in FIG.
The present invention relates to an inhalation assisting device that can effectively ingest the oral powder in the container by being attached to the suction port of the container in which the oral powder is stored, and has industrial applicability.
