Abstract

The invention relates to an eco-mop which is a device that allows the mop head or cloth to be replaced when it is no longer usable, as well as alternatively allowing the use of a rag, old towel or similar. The mop comprises a pole (1), a sliding cover (2), a clamp (3), a mop head (4), and a retaining cap (5). The sliding cover (2) and the clamp (3), once coupled to one another, form an assembly that cannot be separated owing to a locking crown (2.1) and a slot (3.1). The clamp (3) comprises a series of flexible feet (3.2), having projections (3.3) and separated by grooves (3.4). The retaining cap (5) includes a toroidal attachment (5.1) and is equipped with teeth (6) and a lid (7).

ECOLOGICAL MOP

TECHNICAL OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The invention presented refers to a new type of mop whose arrangement allows not only to change the mop itself for a new one when the first one has reached its maximum wear or deterioration but it is also possible to attach any cloth, towel or similar in its end with the economic advantage that this implies.

The new ecofregone, named for making possible the use of material you want to talk about, is characterized in that, in addition to the usual stick, it has a set of three pieces whose positioning and relative movements allow to make the clamp of the mop or the old cloth that you want take advantage of scrubbing functions. It is in this aspect where special devices have been developed to facilitate the operation of the drain that normally requires considerable effort. Trolleys have also been designed to facilitate the movement of the cleaning equipment during the scrubbing process by avoiding lifting the water Hay bucket and transporting it from one place to another as the cleaning of the premises is advanced. Regarding new shapes and sizes of mops, no noteworthy background is known, although in certain underdeveloped countries elongated tweezers are used that allow the coupling of used tissues, towels or rags. The invention described herein refers exclusively to the stick and mop assembly and elements that allow the second to be joined to the stick. In addition, the invention focuses on more or less rounded assemblies that allow the use of traditional and more common draining mechanisms in all houses. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention, as set forth in the introduction, refers to a device that is designed to be installed in the mop stick of the usual ones in order to be able to grip an old cloth, a useless piece of towel or similar fabric and also a new mop or cloth, as desired by the user.

The basic device of the invention consists of three parts that respond to revolution models made of polyethylene, polyamide or similar type plastic. Two of them are previously coupled together to constitute an inseparable group in which both enjoy relative movement in the direction of their axis of symmetry or revolution and the third is an isolated piece that is trapped between the inseparable group mentioned above and the mop that you want to use, In the section of figures we can see in detail both the shape of the pieces and their operation within the set. However, to make a preliminary idea, we can say that, if we assume the mop stick in an upright position, the order of assembly of all the pieces of the eco-mop, from top to bottom, is as follows:

As we will see, at the time, the stick is screwed on the clamp in the same way as is done in normal mops, for which both elements are provided with the corresponding male (on the stick) and female (on the clamp) threads. The sliding bell enjoys a limited vertical movement with respect to the clamp, being at the beginning in its most arta position.

For mounting the mop, the retaining bushing is deposited on the floor and the mop extends centered above said bushing (Fig. 1). Next, the clamp and bell assembly is placed on top and pushed with the stick down so that the bushing wrapped by the mop enters the caliper cavity until its provisional immobility is achieved (Fig. 2). Finally, the sliding bell is pushed down to prevent the flexible legs from opening again causing the final entrapment of the mop for use as a mop (Fig. 3).

As already indicated, an old cloth or towel can be used instead of the mop with the consequent lowering of the device. The only necessary condition is that the thickness of the cloth or rags used is equivalent to that of a new mop. If they were thicker, the grip could not be completed. If they were of smaller thickness, it could be doubled or tripled to ensure the grip.

To disassemble the device, when the mop becomes unusable and requires renewal, it will be sufficient to step on the mop and move, pulling up, the sliding hood Afterwards, the stick is pulled, which will cause the flexible legs of the clamp to open allowing the mop-bushing assembly to exit from within the clamp and thus release the mop

The inventor considers an alternative solution that improves the device making it suitable for cleaning certain stains or solid spills, which will be described in the section of preferred embodiments.

The device presented, of which no similar background is known, is an interesting novelty in the market with the attractiveness of a very affordable manufacturing and selling price for the more modest economies with the advantage of using used cloths.

The following section includes the drawings that allow a schematic view of the design of the invention without prejudice to the inventor being able to make minor modifications that, altering the shapes, maintain the same purpose.

It represents the same pieces of the previous figure with the particularity that the mop and the retention sleeve have moved upwards to a position in which the retention sleeve has come into contact with the flexible legs of the clamp, forcing them They open. In an embodiment preferred by the inventor, it consists of a stick

(1), of a sliding bell (2), of a clamp (3), mop (4) and a retention bushing (5).

All the cited pieces, except the mop (4), are bodies of revolution.

The sliding bell (2), is hollow and is called that because it is designed to slide over the clamp (3) being provided in its central interior, as shown in (Fig. 1), of a locking crown ( 2.1) as a flexible flange that deforms when subjected to slight pressure. It is coupled with a small clearance on the neck or cylindrical area that has the clamp (3), which has a notch (3.1) in its upper part where the locking crown (2.1) fits precisely so that when it is introduced The sliding bell (2) at the top of the clamp (3) produces the slide freely until both pieces stop by their own configuration. However, if it is a question of moving the sliding bell (2) in the opposite direction, there comes a time when the locking crown (2.1) expands slightly when it reaches the notch (3.1), it being impossible to continue the movement. That is, once the sliding bell

(2) has completed its downward path along the neck of the clamp (3), it is impossible to extract it forming an inseparable assembly unless some of the pieces are forced until the breakage.

The clamp (3) has, in its lower part, a series of flexible legs (3.2) that, at rest, adopt a vertical position, being separated by grooves (3.4), and presenting in its lower part a projection (3.3) or step, as depicted in (Fig. 1).

The same figure schematically shows the mop (4) and the retaining bushing (5), which is a hollow ring provided in its central part with a toroidal appendage (Sl). Once this previous description of the characteristics of each piece is made, we will explain the assembly process for which one begins by placing the retaining sleeve (3) on the floor, extending the mop (4) on it, properly centered. Next, the clamp assembly (3) and sliding bell (2) are put on top and pushed with the stick (1) down. Figure (Fig. 2) shows the moment when the flexible legs (3.2) open as a result of the pressure exerted by the toroidal appendage (5 1) of the retaining sleeve (3) through the mop (4) . It is easily understood that, when continuing the downward movement of the clamp (3), pushed by the stick (1), there is a time when the appendix (5.1) exceeds the shoulder (3.3) or step of the flexible legs (3.2) which, due to their elastic nature, are closed until they reach the vertical rest position with the consequent provisional clamping of the mop (4) and the retaining sleeve (5).

In the last phase, represented in (Fig. 3), the sliding bell (2) is pushed to its lowest position, guaranteed by the immobility of the elastic legs (3.2) causing the final imprisonment of the mop (4) and the bushing retention (5) leaving the device ready to scrub.

It is understood that what is valid for gripping the mop (4) is also valid for holding any cloth, towel or similar that is equal to or close to the thickness of the mop (4), this being one of the main advantages of the invention that allows the use of old clothes for scrubbing, which is practiced in underdeveloped countries.

The inventor conceives a solution that complements his ecofregone device consisting of replacing the retention bushing (5) with another of identical dimensions in one of whose faces, which have the shape of a circular crown, inserts a plurality of barbs (6) (Fig. 4), skewers, bristles or similar to form a kind of brush that, applied to the floor and pressed with the stick (1) of the mop, serves to remove certain stains or deposits by occasional spills that are not easily cleaned with the mop (4).

(Fig. 4) shows this alternative solution in which it is observed that the symmetry of the retaining sleeve (5) allows it to be mounted in two positions, that of top with the spikes (6) down and the one on the bottom, inverted with respect to the previous one, with the spikes (6) up Both solutions also admit the insertion and clamping of a mop (4) not represented in this case for clarity of the figure. In any case the mop (4) or cloth or substitute towel, could be torn with the spikes (6) and therefore there is a cover (7) that fits over the retaining bush (5) having as a stop the appendix (5.1) toroidal. When the barbs (6) are facing down, the cover (7) also fits in the upper part.

As a final clarification of the operation of this device, we can say that the process of changing the mop (4) consists of stepping it on the ground and pulling the sliding bell (2), which will move upwards on the clamp (3) allowing the opening of the flexible legs (3.2) and the removal of the retention bushing (S) and the mop (4).

It is not considered necessary to extend the content of this description for S so that a person skilled in the art can understand the scope and advantages derived from the invention, as well as develop and carry out the object of the same.

However, it should be understood that the invention has been described according to a preferred embodiment thereof, whereby it may be susceptible to modifications without implying any alteration of the basis of said invention; that is to say, the terms in which this preferred description of the invention has been exposed should always be taken in a broad and non-limiting manner.

Claims
