Description

Leveling device for wall and floor tiles and a set of these devices
Technical Field
The technical solution relates to a device for leveling individual wall and floor tiles harmoniously in one plane, and also serves as an aid to the mutual holding of two or more tiles during their installation. This technical solution also relates to a set of these devices joined into a single unit.
Background Art
At present, when laying the wall and floor tiles, only spacers are used to define the distance between the tiles. Perfect settlement of tiles in one plane is a relatively complex task and depends on correct alignment of the underlying material. To check the symmetry of tiles a lath or spirit level is usually used, but the results of this inspection mostly show minor flaws and need to make an additional correction of position of the tile. To compensate the alignment of tiles a rubber hammer is commonly used. If an excessive pressure is developed in a particular place on the tile, it is necessary to make a correction on the other end of the piece in order to compensate the position. Another drawback with the need to re-install the tile is that the tile can be soiled with supporting material - filler. Tile laying therefore requires considerable skill and experience, which places demands not only on individual skill of tillers, but also translates into financial and time demands of the work.
Disclosure of the Technical Solution
The advantage of the proposed solution is the elimination of drawbacks of the prior art by using the device for leveling tiles during their laying, and also serves as a means of manipulation. The device shown on Fig. 1 consists of the lever used to pull the anchor to the bottom wall of the lower part, wherein the lever is attached to the anchor by joint, so that the center of rotation of the lever passes through the joint. The device further comprises an upper part which contains an circular thread on the inner or outer wall, depending on the fact whether the lower part from which the device further comprises, comprises the thread on the inner or outer wall. If the upper part comprises a thread on the inner wall, the lower part comprises complementary-shaped thread on its outer wall so that it is possible to rotate the upper or the lower part to change the distance between the bottom wall of the lower part and upper part. In this way it is possible to change the distance between the anchor head and the bottom wall of the lower part, as shown on Fig. 4, depending on the thickness of the tile, which shall be firmly attached by folding the lever and pulling the anchor upward. The dependence between the lever folding and head position of the anchor is explained in Fig. 3 to 5.
Anchor, respectively its head, is used to fasten two pieces of tiles, which have the same wall thickness. The device further comprises a solid washer, such as from metal, on which rests the lower portion of the lever. A damping pad that is flexible and allows even small differences in height shift, and thus improves the operation of the lever and holding strength of the anchor, is conveniently stored between the solid washer and the upper part. Anchor passes through the openings in the lower and upper part, then trough the hole in the damping pad and through the opening in the solid washer. A spring washer is fixed within the upper and lower part, on which rests a spring that is disposed between the washer and the inner wall of the upper part. The purpose of the spring is to create pressure on the anchor in a direction away from the bottom wall of the lower part, i.e. against the direction of movement of the anchor during rotation of the lever in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the anchor, through which passes a section A as shown on Fig. 3. The direction of movement of the lever specifies the position of the anchor head to the user. Preferably, from a lateral view, the bottom edge of the anchor head has rounded shape, which allows for easy insertion of the anchor head under tiles. Preferably, the direction of movement of the lever is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the anchor head. Shape proportions and the appearance of the device according to the accompanying drawings in no way limit the scope of protection of this invention, the technical equivalents of the various elements when using the described principle of operation of this device will surely be obvious to the skilled person.
This technical solution also relates to a set of these devices that are interconnected, comprising at least two devices as described above. Even more preferably, it is possible that the connecting member that connects the leveling device allows changing the distance between said devices. Preferably, the connecting member is a bar provided with the inner path, in which the device is placed in a space between the solid washer and the upper part so that the inner path encircles the anchor. Tilting the lever will strengthen the position of the device in the connecting member. In another preferred embodiment it is proposed that the connecting device is used to manipulate with set of devices according to the present invention.
In a variant preferred embodiment, it is also possible that the technical solution of the device comprises more than one anchor, and / or more than one lever, wherein such device may be further preferably included in the set of devices for leveling the tiles. In another preferred embodiment it is proposed that any anchor comprises more than one head.

Leveling device for wall and floor tiles shown on Fig. 1 to Fig. 5 comprises a lever 1 for pulling the anchor 2 to the bottom wall 63_ of the lower part 6, wherein the lever 1 is attached to the anchor 2_ by joint 1L, so that the center S of rotation of the lever 1 is passing through the joint 11. The device further comprises an upper part 5, which is provided with circular thread 52_ on its outer wall, wherein the lower part is provided with shape- complementary thread 62. on its inner wall so that it is possible to change the distance between bottom wall 63_ of the lower part 6^ and the upper part 5 by rotating the upper part 5 or the lower part , and thereby changing the distance between anchor head 21 and bottom wall 63_ of the lower part 6, as shown on Fig. 4, and that depending on the thickness of the wall or floor tiles, which shall be fixedly mounted by tilting the lever 1. and attaching the anchor 2 upwardly. The anchor 2, or anchor head 2_1 respectively, serves to mount two pieces of tiles, which have the same wall thickness. The device further comprises a solid washer 3, which supports lower part of the lever 1. A dampening pad 4 is stored between solid washer 3 and upper part 5, wherein the pad 4 is flexible and allows compensating small height differences, thereby improving the operation of the lever 1 and holding strength of the anchor 2. The anchor 2 extends through the opening 61 in lower part 6, through the opening 51 in upper part 5, through the hole 41 in dampening pad 4 and finally it extends through the opening 31 in solid washer 3_. A spring washer l_, on which the spring 8 rests, is fixed on the anchor 2 inside the upper and lower part 5^,6, wherein the spring 8^ is stored between the washer 7 and inner wall of the upper part 5. The purpose of the spring 8^ is to create pressure on the anchor 2 in a direction away from the bottom wall 63 of the lower part 6, i.e. against the direction of lift of the anchor 2 during rotation of the lever 1 in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the anchor 2, through which passes a section A as shown on Fig. 3. The direction of movement of the lever 1 specifies the position of the anchor head 21 to the user. The direction of movement of the lever 1 is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the anchor head 21, i.e. the direction is perpendicular to the longer side of the anchor head 21. From a lateral view, the bottom edge of the anchor head 21 has rounded shape, which allows for easy insertion of the anchor head 2_1 under tiles .
Example 2
Leveling device derived from the Example 1 comprises two levers 1 for pulling up two anchors 2_, wherein each anchor 2_ has two heads 21.
Example 3
A set of leveling devices for wall and floor tiles, the set being composed of the devices according to Example 1 or 2 , wherein the devices are joined with connecting member 9 with continuously adjustable distance between individual devices achieved by the fact that the connecting member 9 is a bar provided with inner path 91 into which the device is placed, and that between solid washer 3_ and upper part _5, so that the inner path 91 encircles the anchor 2. The position fixation of the device on the connecting member 9 is achieved by tilting the lever 1.
