Description
DESCRIPTION
A SUN VISOR SYSTEM Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a sun visor system which is designed for preventing the sunlight to come to the eye of the driver and the passenger and moves automatically.
Background of the Invention
There a plurality of features in vehicle for providing comfort of the passengers and drivers. Some of these are used for safety and the other part is placed in the vehicle for comfort. One of these is the vehicle sun visor. The vehicle visor is brought to a vertical position by being rotated by the driver around a point when the sun comes against the driver and the passenger, and thus the sunlight coming from the face is prevented from coming to the eyes of the driver and passengers. The sun visors in the vehicles used today are located in the part where the vehicle roof is connected with the windshield, and rotates approximately 90 degrees around single axis. The sun visor which is parallel to the roof when it is not used is pushed downwards by the driver when it is preferred to be used and made parallel to the roof. By means of this process the sunlight coming to the eyes of the driver and passenger is prevented from bothering them. However in case the driver moves continuously, the angles of the sunlight change. Because of this change, sunlight passes through the openings of the sun visor and bothers the driver and the passenger and threats driving safety. Besides, the sun visors used today covers the rear view mirror part and if the angle of the sunlight comes there, the sunlight threats the driving safety of the individual.
The German patent document no. DE10007657 (Al), an application in the state of the art, discloses a sun visor. The front edge of the sun visor can move downwards. In this position, it can be pivoted freely about a horizontal axis (5) near its rear edge. A part of the visor is pivoted about an axis parallel to the vertical vehicle axis, to cover an upper section of the windscreen. Therefore it covers the upper part of the vehicle's windscreen. The sun visor has guide elements (7) along its rear edges, to slide in guide tracks (8) via a cable pull, which passes over bearings on the vehicle roof. The cable pull is operated by an electric motor. All parts are contained in a module (3) for fastening to the vehicle roof.
Chinese Patent document no CH699380, an application known in the state of the art, discloses a sun visor upwardly movable inner side or outer side of a windscreen of the vehicle. Movement of the sun visor (3) is actuatable manually or by an electric motor via a pushbutton in the vehicle. A detector (6) detects a solar radiation on the windscreen, and moves the sun visor as needed according to the solar radiation. A lateral guide (4) is arranged at the sun visor (3) in a hidden manner, for laterally guiding the sun visor. Summary of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to provide a sun visor system which moves automatically. A further objective of the present invention is to provide a sun visor system which enables larger area to be shielded by being able to move in direction of the glass.
Detailed Description of the Invention A sun visor system developed to fulfill the objective of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figure, in which:
Figure 1 is the side view of the sun visor system.

The sun visor system (1), which is designed to the prevent the sunlight from coming to the eyes of the driver and the passenger and moves automatically, essentially comprises
- at least one prevented which prevents the sunlight from coming to the eyes of the driver and the passenger when it is brought to vertical position, and which is in horizontal position when it is not used,
- at least one holder (3) which is present at one edge of the preventer (2) and enables the prevented (2) to be rotated around the said edge,
- at least one horizontal rail (4) which is located in the lower part of the holder (3) and enables the preventer (2) to move parallel in direction of its long axis, at least one router (5) to which the holder (3) is connected and enables the preventer (2) to be moved between the driver and the windscreen parallel to the direction of the roof,
- at least one rotating member (6) which is designed so that the holder (3) can move on the router (5) without slipping,
at least one parallel rail (7) which extends towards the driver from the windscreen and on which the rotating member (6) moves,
at least one actuator (8) which drives the movement of the router (5) on the parallel rail (7) via the command given by the driver,
- at least one button (9) which is adapted to activate the actuator (8).
In one embodiment of the invention, there is a preventer (2) which prevents the sunlight from coming to the eyes of the driver and the passing in the front on the upper part of the area where the driver and passenger in the front sit. When the preventer (2) is brought to vertical position, it prevents the sunlight from coming to the eyes of the driver or the passenger in the front and thus driving safety is provided. Besides, the preventer (2) is manually brought to parallel position to the roof from the vertical position when it is preferred not to be used, and it is left there for the next use. There is a parallel rail (7) extending in direction of the passenger and the driver from the windscreen on the roof of the vehicle in order to enable the preventer (2) to be moved in direction of the windscreen. The length of the said parallel rail (7) can be elongated in a preferred amount, and thus the preventer (2) can be moved up to the desired level between the driver and the windscreen. The router (5) moves on the said parallel rail (7) via the rotating member (6). By means of the rotating member (6) rotating around the central axis, minimum friction occurs and the movement of the parallel rail (7) on the router (5) becomes easy. When it is preferred, the movement of the router (5) is carried out via the drive of the actuator (8). In addition to this, the router (5) can be moved manually when the actuator (8) is not present. In case it is preferred that the movement is carried out automatically via the actuator (8), the passenger or the driver controls the actuator (8) via the button (9). The holder (3) is located on the lower part of the router (5). The horizontal rail (4) is located in the holder (3). The preventer (2) is mounted on the said horizontal rail (4). The feature of the horizontal rail (4) is to enable the left and right movement of the preventer (2). The right and left movement of the preventer (2) is carried out manually inside the - horizontal rail (4). In addition to this, rotation of the preventer (2) along "the axis
of the holder (3) is carried out manually. Moving in direction of the windscreen is realized via the drive of the actuator (8).
The operation of the sun visor system (1) is carried out as follows: In case the sunlight comes to the eyes of the driver or the passenger in the front, the users manually bring the preventer (2) to vertical position to the roof from the horizontal position. Then the driver pushes the button (9) located in the part where the lighting lamps are present and enables the actuator (8) to be driven. After the drive of the actuator (8), the router (5) starts to move on the parallel rail (7). By means of this movement, the preventer (2) is adjusted in a desired amount in direction of the windscreen and in opposite direction. In addition to this, if the user wants, s/he can adjust the preventer (2) to left or right via the horizontal rail (4), and thus prevent the sunlight from coming. Therefore driving safety is provided.
