Description
The present invention relates to an ice dispensing unit that is suitable to be placed inside a cooling device.
In some of the state of the art cooling devices, the ice dispensing units used for making ice cubes, cannot be carried out of the cooling device, the ice cubes that are released from the ice dispensing unit generally by twisting are collected in a receptacle also inside the cooling device and from there are transferred to a service container for serving. However, the ice cubes transferred from the ice dispensing unit to the receptacle and from the receptacle to the service container are meanwhile subjected to deformation. Furthermore, in order to serve the ice cubes in the service containers, service elements such as spoon, a pair of tongs etc. are needed.
In the state of the art United States Patent Document No. US3306567, an ice serving unit is explained, which enables ice cubes in the desired number to be taken out of the cooling device without requiring the ice cubes to be transferred to the service container.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of an ice dispensing unit that enables ice cubes to be formed and to be served easily by being placed into the cooling device.
The portable ice dispensing unit suitable to be placed into the cooling device, realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises an ice cube tray having more than one cell, an inner body wherein the ice cube tray is disposed and that encloses the ice cube tray, an outer body fitted over the inner body like a sheath and wherein the inner body stays, and an orifice disposed on the inner body or the ice cube tray by means of which the processes of filling water into the ice cube tray or taking ice cubes from the ice cube tray are performed.
The ice dispensing unit of the present invention comprises more than one pusher that forms a protrusion from the outer body towards the inner body during ice cube taking process and that is positioned so as to be aligned behind the cells by changing place on its horizontal axis when the outer body is rotated around the inner body. In an embodiment of the present invention, the ice dispensing unit comprises a claw that is arranged on the inner body and that enables the inner body and the outer body to be grouped and a claw housing that is disposed on the outer body and against which the claw bears. Thus, the inner body is mounted into the outer body.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the ice dispensing unit comprises a protrusion that extends outwards from the outer body and that facilitates the placement of the ice dispensing unit into the cooling device rigidly by resting against the cooling device shelf.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the outer body is cylinder-shaped and thus the rotational movement around the fixed inner body becomes easy.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the outer body is transparent. Thus, whether or not the ice making process is completed can be controlled.
By means of the present invention, the ice cubes formed inside the ice dispensing unit can be served without the need of external service elements by taking the ice dispensing unit out of the cooling device, the desired number of ice cubes can be taken and customer satisfaction is increased.
