Definitions
- the present invention is related to the area of container seals, in particular the means of fast opening and closing of containers.
- Document AU 675806B2 discloses a lid for a container with a complex lock system adapted to cans for fuel storage.
- US4360123A discloses a container lid with a closing achieved by rotation.
- the document GB250793A discloses a lid comprising a bottleneck which includes non-passing slots.
- the cited documents refer to fast opening and closing systems, but none describes the technical features of the sealing stopper and the respective bottleneck, and none of these documents discloses such a simple process, as presented by the present invention.
- the present invention refers to a sealing stopper made of cork or of another material for a bottleneck and to its respective fixation and extraction process.
- the stopper has a coupled bolt which protrudes radially outwards, such bolt always having a size greater than the outer diameter of the bottleneck and the outer diameter of the stopper, and which has the function of fixing the sealing stopper in the bottleneck slots and also to help extracting the sealing stopper from the bottleneck.
- This bottleneck comprises in its upper part two passing-slots with two consecutive sections, wherein the first section, which begins in the top, is longitudinal to the container and the second is perpendicular to the previous section, the second section having the same orientation in both slots, clockwise or counterclockwise.
- These sections were constructed specifically so that the bolt, in the process of insertion and extraction, is guided through said section, wherein the first section is intended for longitudinal movement and the second section is intended for the bolt rotation around the vertical axis and the respective container engaging, attaching and detaching in accordance with the process of insertion and extraction.
- the sealing stopper and the bolt may be of variable sizes and shapes optimized for different dimensions of the containers bottlenecks. No matter the size, the bottlenecks will always have an inner diameter smaller than the sealing stopper diameter.
- the container sealing is achieved by the longitudinal pressure of the sealing stopper on the bottleneck, enhanced by the diameter of the stopper being greater than the inner diameter of the bottleneck.
- the sealing stopper is introduced into the bottleneck through longitudinal pressure exerted by the user on the bolt, allowing its entry into the container through a first longitudinal section to the container, followed by a rotation of the bolt in a second section which is perpendicular to the first section and that places the bolt in the bottleneck fittings.
- the effectiveness of the sealing stopper fixation to the bottleneck seal is ensured by the longitudinal pressure which the sealing stopper exerts on the bolt and by the diameters difference, being inner diameter of the bottleneck smaller than the sealing stopper diameter.
- the extraction of the sealing stopper is performed by a rotation with opposite direction to the insertion also in the second portion, causing the bolt to release from its fittings, followed by a longitudinal movement along the first portion of the passing slots, said section being longitudinal to the container.
- the main advantages of this invention are the simplicity of the process, which allow the opening and closing without the use of a corkscrew, savings of raw material, since the stopper can be reused several times, a cost below the average market cost, easy recycling and at last the dual function of coupled bolt, which makes the fixation of the stopper and the extraction thereof.

- Fig.3 Perspective of the set, wherein the sealing stopper (1) is in the insertion / sealing position and where it can be seen position the bolt (2) coupled to respective slots (3), providing the sealing.

- Fig.6 view of the sealing stopper (1) and of a container .
- the present invention refers to a sealing stopper (1) for a bottleneck (4) of a container with inner diameter, superior on the top, as it can be seen in figure 1.
- FIG 2 is shown the sealing stopper (1) with a cylindrical shape with a coupled bolt (2) which protrudes radially towards the its outer side with a diameter superior to the bottleneck (4) diameter.
- the bolt (2) has the shape of a bar and its ends may have several configurations, as can it can be seen in Figures 3 and 4.
- the latch (2) can be manufactured in wood, a polymer or other material, which gives the necessary strength to the set comprising the bolt (2) itself and the sealing stopper (1) .
- the bolt (2) and sealing stopper (1) are sized to withstand varying pressures according to the desired air tightness level to which the aforementioned assembly is subject to, as is the case, among others, of carbonated liquid.
- the bolt (2) is fixed to the sealing stopper (1) by glue.
- the glue is inserted into a rectilinear groove passing through the center of the sealing stopper (1) , where the bolt (2) is then embedded and fixed.
- the bottleneck (4) shown in Figure 5 includes two passing slots (5) , similar to an "L" shape, located in parallel and in front of each other and comprising two consecutive sections, a first section longitudinal to the container and a second, perpendicular to the former, wherein the second section has the same orientation in both passing slots (5) in a clockwise direction or in the opposite direction, that is, clockwise or counterclockwise.
- the second sections of the passing slots confine on fittings (3) .
- the passing slots (5) located in parallel and in front of each other are arranged differently, that is, in one of the sides of the bottleneck (4) it is arranged according to an "L" shape and on the other side of the bottleneck also has the shape similar to a" ⁇ ", but the direction of the second section is inverted.
- the passing slots namely the first longitudinal section to the container, has a configuration which is different from the one previously mentioned.
- the sealing stopper (1) is inserted into the bottleneck (4), with longitudinal pressure on the bolt (2) and its rotation around the vertical axis of the container, clockwise or counterclockwise.
- the bolt (2) shown in Figure 2 is part of the sealing stopper (1) .
- the inner diameter of the bottleneck (4) is not fully tubular, that is, the bottleneck (4) has an inner diameter larger on the top.
- the dimensions of the sealing stopper (1) are optimized to suit the dimensions of the respective bottleneck (4) .
