Abstract

The invention relates to a downhole tool assembly (1) for carrying out downhole operations in a casing (130) in a wellbore, the tool assembly (1) comprising: i) at least a first tool (300) configured for carrying out said downhole operations, and ii) a second tool (100) mechanically coupled to the first tool (200, 300, 400, 500) in a non-rotatable manner. The second tool being configured for measuring properties of the casing (130), such as casing (130) wall thickness, casing internal diameter, thickness of scale within casing (130), and cement bonding/disbonding, by means of acoustic resonance technology and processing the received acoustic signal. The second tool (100) comprises a plurality of ultrasonic transducers (110, 124) for measuring said properties, wherein the ultrasonic transducers (110, 124) are fixedly provided all around the circumference of the second tool (100), wherein the ultrasonic transducers (110, 124) are configured for measurement of said properties along the full circumference of the casing (130) simultaneously without requiring rotation of the second tool (100). The invention provides an improved apparatus for downhole measurements, which is capable of carrying out downhole operations combined with in-situ downhole diagnostics of a casing, in parallel with said downhole measurements.
