The present invention relates to a cosmetic device comprising: a body (2) defining a cavity (4), a bearing surface (20) defined by the cavity (4), an application member (3) comprising an application surface (30), a means (50) for setting the application member (3) in motion, the application surface (30) and the bearing surface (20) being arranged to alternately come in contact with an area of the body.

Description

Cosmetic device comprising a vibrating application member at low frequencies

The present invention aims to provide a device for makeup and / or care of keratin materials, and more particularly the skin.

More generally, a "cosmetic product" is a product as defined in the

Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products.

In a general manner, the cosmetic compositions dedicated to the care and / or makeup of the skin and more particularly of the face are applied according to the following mode: one or more point deposits of the composition are made in one or more localized zones of the face then this or these deposits are spread, usually finger or sponge, to cover the entire surface of the face.

For the following reasons, it would be advantageous to have a new mode of application of this type of make-up and / or care compositions.

Firstly, this conventional application method does not ensure an applied film thickness that is homogeneous on all areas of the face.

Generally, the areas where the composition was punctually filed benefit from a greater thickness of makeup film. On the other hand, the areas of the face furthest from the aforementioned zone (s) are coated with a makeup film of smaller thickness. This inhomogeneity of deposit is generally revealed at the level of the makeup effect. For obvious reasons, it is not appreciated by the user. It is not particularly compatible with the manifestation of a rendering said

"Natural" in terms of makeup effect. Indeed, the application does not allow sufficient homogeneity to avoid traces.

In addition, this mode of application can more particularly in the case of a spreading finger, pose a problem in terms of cleanliness, or even hygiene.

Finally, users are always looking for new application technologies that are innovative in terms of implementation, visual effect provided by the type of makeup deposit they form, or even in terms of sensations generated at the time of the application.

Among the gestures of beauticians, we know the tapping on the skin with the fingers. It helps restore a certain tone to the skin, by localized activation of blood and lymphatic circulation. This movement is difficult to reproduce because it requires, to be effective, to always have a support on a free surface. In the opposite case, the movement is transferred almost completely to the hand holding the applicator.

On the face or décolleté, the fixed support of a device on a surface to be treated can damage the surface itself. In particular, it is difficult to take a fixed support on certain areas of the face. In general, the person is directly supported on the skin near the treated area. The result obtained is not optimal.

There is a need to remedy all or part of the disadvantages of known applicators and make-up processes, whether for the make-up or care of the skin of the face or any other region of the body. In particular, it is desired to provide a device for applying a cosmetic product that:

- be reliable,

- inexpensive,

-procure a pleasant sensation and

- provides a uniform and natural product deposit.

The invention aims to meet this need.

The subject of the invention is a cosmetic device comprising:

a body defining a housing,

a bearing surface delimited by the housing,

an application member comprising an application face,

means for moving the applicator member,

the application face and the bearing surface being arranged to come alternately in contact with a body area.

Preferably, the application face comes into periodic contact with a portion of the body area and the bearing surface comes into periodic contact with the periphery of said portion.

In particular, the applicator member is axially movable along its longitudinal axis (X). It advantageously describes an oscillation movement along this axis (X), in order to cause a feeling of tapping on the treated body area.

In particular, the moving means is an electrical means.

The device makes it possible to obtain a deposit of cosmetic product that is smoother on the skin, especially with a lower risk of streaking. Asset penetration and coverage may be increased.

The device can further increase the adhesion of the composition on the treated surface, for example in the case of a blush or a tinted powder.

The invention can also make it easier to spread the composition on the surface to be treated.

In the case of a blush, for example, the invention may allow a great uniformity of color and, in the case of a foundation, a more homogeneous deposit.

In addition, the device according to the invention makes it possible to obtain a massaging effect on the skin, with a sensation of well-being.

Thus, the device according to the invention proves on the one hand easy to use and on the other hand likely to provide pleasant sensations for the user.

Application body

In an alternative embodiment, the applicator member may be provided with a removable brake which makes it possible to block or brake, if necessary, its movement.

The outer face of the applicator member (application face) is formed at least on the surface of a material conducive to the deposition of the cosmetic composition and its retention until its subsequent application to the skin.

For example, the application face dedicated to contact with a keratin material may in particular be an open-cell foam or closed, possibly flocked, flocking, an elastomer, a sintered material, a woven material or a nonwoven material.

The outer surface of the applicator member may be smooth or not. Thus, this applicator member may advantageously have on the surface, reliefs, generally curved and rounded advantageous to jointly provide a massage effect.

Advantageously, the application face is of flattened shape. The movement of the application organ is more toned.

When the device is observed from below, the bearing surface can advantageously overflow only a small distance, for example less than or equal to 5 mm, from the outer contour of the application face. For example, the largest apparent diameter of the bearing surface is 60 mm and the largest apparent diameter of the application face is 55 mm, these values not being limiting. This can allow to have a relatively large area of application, if desired, which may be advantageous for treating body regions located elsewhere than on the face.

The height of the apparent portion of the applicator member, measured along the longitudinal axis of the device, may be less than or equal to 20 mm, which may allow to benefit from a relatively large gripping surface, decreasing the risk for the user to touch with his fingers the application member.

In certain exemplary embodiments, the applicator member may have a substantially constant wall thickness, for example between 0.1 and 10 mm. The wall thickness may be constant at ± 20%, for example.

Movement of the implementing body

Advantageously, the applicator member is at least partially housed in the housing. The device is more ergonomic and more secure.

More preferably, the applicator member is movable between a maximum retracted position inside the housing and a maximum release position out of the housing. The application member describes a race between two perfectly defined extreme positions.

Even more advantageously, the applicator member is in the maximum release position out of the housing in the off mode of the moving means. The application face may come into contact with the body area before the device is started, for a better precision of the cosmetic treatment.

Preferably, the applicator member is in contact with the bottom of the housing in the maximum retracted position. The bottom of the housing serves as a stop for a better definition of the race.

More preferably, the applicator member oscillates along its longitudinal axis (X). The user feels a beneficial movement of tapping on the skin. It restores vigor to the treated surface.

According to a preferred embodiment of the device, the amplitude (δ) of the movement of the applicator member is between 5 mm and 12 mm, better still between 8 mm and 10 mm. According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the device, the period (T) of the movement of the applicator member is between 1 second and 40 seconds, better still between 10 seconds and 30 seconds.

The gripping portion may be of any known thermoplastic material, for example a polyolefin, for example polyethylene or polypropylene, a polyamide, PET, POM, PS, RILSAN ^® .

Means of setting the application organ in motion

Advantageously, the movement of the applicator member is an oscillation movement along the longitudinal axis (X).

The setting in motion can be obtained in various ways, mechanically, hydraulically, pneumatically, electronically or electromechanically.

The source of movement may comprise for example a motor driving a flyweight, an eccentric, an electromagnet, a piezoelectric or mechanical vibrator.

The contact between the source of movement and the applicator part may be punctual or extended, depending for example on the amplitude, the frequency and the orientation of the vibrations.

The frequency of the vibrations is preferably less than or equal to 20 Hz, even more preferably less than or equal to 10 Hz and better still less than or equal to 5 Hz.

The vibrations may be oriented transversely to or parallel to the longitudinal axis of the applicator element or otherwise.

The application face may be optionally elastically deformable.

In certain exemplary embodiments, the applicator member is mounted at the end of a rod, which may be flexible, which may contribute to increasing the amplitude of the vibrations of the application element and / or improving comfort to the application.

The body can be molded in one piece with the gripping portion.

In this case, the vibrating source can be removably attached in a housing of the gripping portion. The invention also relates to a method for applying a cosmetic composition to keratinous materials, comprising the following steps:

i) forming a deposit of a cosmetic composition on keratin materials,

ii) simultaneously with the formation of the deposit or after the deposit, submit it to a movement of the application member of the device according to the invention,

iii) leave the deposit on the keratin materials, the deposit being able to dry.

The invention also relates to an assembly comprising:

a device according to the invention,

a cosmetic composition, said composition constituting in particular a blush, an eyeshadow, a powder for the face, a foundation, a concealer, a lipstick, a body make-up product, a care product for the face, a body care product or an antisolar product.

In the aspects of the invention, the product is for example a care product, especially anti-stain, anti-wrinkle, anti-pocket, body, root treatment, in particular to promote hair growth.

Some examples, among others, of application devices according to the invention are shown in the figures. The devices represented in FIGS. 1 to 5 comprise a base 2, a gripping portion 1, an applicator member 3 and means for moving the applicator member 3.

The base 2 defines a housing 4 receiving an application member 3. The attachment of the base 2 and the gripping portion 1 may be removable or not, for example by clamping or snapping.

The base 2 and the gripping portion 1 can also be made in one piece.

The gripping portion 1 is for example a monolithic piece made in one piece by molding.

The longitudinal axis of the applicator member 3 may be inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis Y of the gripping portion 1 as shown in the figures.

The base 2 delimits a bearing surface 20 adapted to come into permanent contact with a body zone. This bearing surface 20 forms a fixed buffer.

In the example of the figures, the applicator member 3 is provided for mounting in the housing 4 formed in the gripping portion 1. The housing 4 may also constitute an extension of the gripping portion 1.

The base 2 may include, where appropriate, a notch allowing the user to have easier access to the application member 3, in particular to remove it.

The applicator member 3 is axially movable in its housing 4. It comes into periodic contact with the body zone by at least its application face 30. This face 30 defines a mobile buffer.

The application face 30 may be made in various ways, including molding, over-injection, stapling, twisting.

The application face 30 may be for single use, if necessary.

Application elements may be fixed by any means on the application face 30, in particular by gluing, welding, stamping, snapping, screwing, with magnets, by friction, by VELCRO ^® type fastening, by clamping between jaws. or the branches of a forceps.

The gripping portion 1 comprises a source of energy and a transformer of electrical energy into mechanical energy. A preferred choice of energy transformer Electrical mechanical energy is a solenoid equipped with a magnetized core provided with a spring but can be imagined other arrangements and components.

The gripping portion 1 incorporates a vibrating source for subjecting the application member 3 to vibrations of less than 20 Hz frequency, especially less than 10 Hz, during use of the device. In the example shown, the vibration frequency is less than 5 Hz.

The applicator 2 comprises a control member 11 allowing the user to trigger the operation of the vibrating source. For example, the vibrating source operates as long as the user presses the control member 11.

The vibrating source 50 comprises for example a magnetic core 53 connected to the base 2. The magnet core 53 flows freely inside a solenoid 5 defining a coil 51. The solenoid 5 is wound on a support 52. A contactor 55 resting on a spring blade 54.

The vibrating source 50 is for example contained in the gripping part. The vibrating source is accessible for example by opening the gripping portion 1. The latter may comprise two parts connected by a hinge, including a hinge-film, but it may be otherwise.

The supply voltage of the vibrating source 50 in the case where it is electric, is for example between 1 V and 9 V.

The knob 12 of the control member 11 is for example molded in one piece with the gripping portion 1.

Fixing the vibrating source 50 in the gripping portion 1 may be removable or not, for example by clamping or snapping.

The circuit comprises a battery 4 and a set of conductive wires 6. They close this circuit when the push button 12 is depressed.

In the example under consideration, the vibrations are produced substantially perpendicular to the axis X.

These vibrations propagate along the axis X and cause the applicator member 3 to oscillate perpendicularly to the axis X.

In the figures, the application face 30 is shown very schematically to illustrate the fact that the invention is not limited to a particular application member 3. The application face 30 may be smooth or comprise a relief, in particular a flocking.

The applicator member may be molded in one piece, for example elastomer.

Figures 3 to 5 illustrate three positions of the applicator member.

In Figure 3, the applicator member is in contact with the skin. The spring blade keeps the iron in the low position and the applicator member 3 protrudes from the housing 4. The support surface 20 and the application face are spaced apart by a distance of between 3 and 6.5 mm. . The bearing surface 20 is no longer in contact with the skin.

In Figure 4, the applicator member is directed towards the bottom of the housing 4. The contact between the device and the body area is maintained by the bearing surface 20 and the applicator member.

In Figure 5, the applicator member is fully retracted into the bottom of the housing 4. It no longer exerts pressure on the body area. On the other hand, the contact between the device and the body zone is always maintained, and this thanks to the bearing surface 20. A double tapping is obtained with alternating bearing of the surface 20 and the surface 30.

To use the device, the user presses the control member 11, the electric motor is electrically connected generates vibrations oriented transverse to the X axis. The electrical circuit is closed.

Under the action of the magnetic field developed by the solenoid, the iron rises the applicator member 3. The application face 30 moves towards the body area to be treated.

When the applicator member 3 returns to its retracted position inside the housing 4, the iron pushes the spring blade. The electrical circuit remains closed.

Then, the iron continues to rise causing an increased twist of the spring blade, until the contactor is no longer in contact with the spring blade. The electrical circuit is interrupted and at the same time the magnetic field. Under the action of the spring blade, the iron is strongly pushed back into its low position. The applicator member 3 protrudes out of the housing 4. The application face 30 comes into contact with the body area. The bearing surface 20 is pushed back by the skin. But, the spring blade joins the contactor. It restores the magnetic field and a new tapping cycle is restarted. The user can first apply a cosmetic product. In this case, the device according to the invention promotes the penetration of the latter.

The makeup obtained is uniform and without trace, giving a "natural" rendering, a powdery effect, more velvety and more unifying in color and relief. The care is also of better quality.

Naturally, the invention is not limited to the illustrated examples.

In particular, it is possible to combine various features of the illustrated examples, in non-illustrated variants.

For example, the switch may have its location changed in any of the illustrated embodiments.

The shape of the applicator may be different.

The expression "having one" shall be understood as being synonymous with "having at least one", unless the opposite is specified.

Claims

Cosmetic device comprising:

a body (2) defining a housing (4),

a bearing surface (20) delimited by the housing (4),

an application member (3) comprising an application face (30),

- means for moving (50) the application member (3),

the application face (30) and the bearing surface (20) being arranged to alternately come into contact with a body area.

2. Device according to claim 1, the application face (30) coming into periodic contact with a portion of the body area and the bearing surface (20) coming into periodic contact with the periphery of said portion.

3. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, the application face (30) being of flattened shape.

4. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, the applicator member (3) being at least partially housed in the housing (4).

5. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, the applicator member (3) being movable between a maximum retracted position inside the housing (4) and a maximum release position out of the housing (4). ).

6. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, the application member (3) being in the maximum release position out of the housing (4) in the off mode of the moving means (2).

7. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, the applicator member (3) being in contact with the bottom of the housing (4) in the maximum retracted position.

8. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, the application member (3) performing an oscillation movement along its longitudinal axis (X).

11. A method of applying a cosmetic composition to keratinous materials, comprising the following steps:

iv) forming a deposit of a cosmetic composition on keratin materials,

v) simultaneously with the formation of the deposit or after the deposit, subjecting it to a movement of the applicator member of the device according to any one of the preceding claims,

vi) leave the deposit on the keratin materials, the deposit being able to dry.
