EXAMPLES
Examples are given in order to prove the embodiments claimed in the present invention. The example, describes the manner and process of the present invention and set forth the best mode contemplated by the inventors for carrying out the invention, but are not to be construed as limiting the invention.
EXAMPLE 1
In one example of the current invention, a user logs into a website and would like to get an offer for purchasing a camera, with a specific lens. He is using the following categories in order to send the bidding offers. The categories will be as following: Cameras -> Digital -> 50mm Lens. Once he assigns all of these categories, the system will locate sellers who wrote that they are specializing in Digital cameras with 50mm lenses. All of these sellers will receive the request from the user and will offer a price for selling it. The price will be collectively sent to the user for evaluation; he will select one seller to buy the product from.
EXAMPLE 2
In another example of the current invention, a user will end a biding offer to plurality of sellers using a mobile application. The sellers will have to respond to this offer within a predetermined time length (e.g. 48 hours). During this time, all of the sellers will be able to see each of the offers made by any other sellers; they will then be able to modify their offers. The system will also be adapted to provide the sellers with a platform to offer other improvements to appeal to the user besides cost.
EXAMPLE 3
In yet another example of the current invention, a user would like to get offers for producing a wooden chair. He will send a drawing of the chair using the application to the system, which in turn, locate carpenters in the system. The picture of the wooden chair will be sent to the carpenters who will propose offers to the users including details of their prospective work. These details may include: size, weight, material, combination of materials, cost, estimated time of production, delivery details etc. All of this information will be sent back to the client for review.
EXAMPLE 4
In another example of the current invention, a user would like to get offers for producing a product. He sends his request through the system, where different sellers can view it. Each seller who view the request may (according to different settings of the system), view which other sellers also viewed the request. In some embodiments he may also see offers made by the other users.
EXAMPLE 5
In another example of the present invention a method and system is disclosed for placing an order over the internet. The method and system herein described allows the client/user/ purchaser to request/announce his willingness to purchase an item, product or service in the form of an RFQ (request for quote) for example and offers the vendor the ability to present their item, product or service at a competitive price.
The abovementioned method and system changes the way users purchase online items today. Instead of browsing through offered items by vendors over websites and web stores the client/user /purchaser announces his needs and requirements and provides the vendors with the opportunity to offer their goods products or services to the client at a competitive price.
The RFQ of a potential client is announced at a client system which is then received by a server system. The server system displays the offer to relevant and/or general vendors using the system algorithm and allows them to respond to the clients RFQ. with a set of photos, descriptions, specifications, price, shipping details and price.
The client can set a timeframe to said RFQ. The client can set a variety of variables to the RFQ, such as categories, tags timeframes, promotions, price range, shipping location and other variables.
The system server passes the RFQ passes the request to the client and the relevant or general vendors can review the RFQ.
When a list of vendors begins to accumulate associated with the client RFQ by responding to the RFQ, with the aforementioned photos , descriptions, specifications, price, shipping details and price the client may choose, from the list of vendors, a group or list of vendors more suited or matched to the client RFQ. Such a list may be designated as potential deal partners (PDPs).
The above mentioned PDP list or a portion thereof may be sent to the server and the server then sends to potential deal partners an announcement by email or mobile or smartphone notification or other computerized notification an announcement that the vendor has been passed to the next step of the process.
Potential vendors from the PDP list may, in some embodiments of the invention, have the right to refuse the deal or remain. If one or all of the vendors refuses, a message is sent to the server, and the server notifies the client via email or mobile or smartphone notification or other computerized notification.
The server then removes the refusing vendor/s from the PDP list and sends it to the client. The client then presents the refusal and removes one or more sellers from the list.
In the next step, the client can declare a price that he is willing to pay (Offer Price). This Offer Price (OP) is sent as a message to the server and the server notifies the vendors via email or mobile or smartphone notification or other computerized notification that an irrevocable conditional offer to pay is available from the client.
The first vendor accepting the deal to click a "grab: button on the GUI, and the client sends this action to the server which sends a notification via email or mobile or smartphone notification or other computerized notification to the rest of the vendors that the deal has now been closed with one of the vendors and the client is notified.
The vendor and client are now optionally put into contact with each other by any conventional means of communication, automated or otherwise over the client server to refine details of the deal.
The client's money is held in the services bank account until the vendor provides appropriate documentation showing that the item, product or service is being shipped or provided, and approval to release the funds is provided by the client.
