Abstract
Zum Erfassen eines Material- und/oder Formparameters eines Metallgegenstands (3) wird ein induktiver Sensor (1) vorgeschlagen, der drei mit ihren Flachseiten parallel oder zumindest angenähert parallel zueinander gestapelt angeordnete und sich teilweise überlappende Flachspulen (7, 9, 11) umfasst. Die beiden äußeren Flachspulen (7, 11) bilden entweder Sendespulen zum Induzieren von Wirbelströmen in dem Metallgegenstand (3) oder aber Empfangsspulen, deren Antwortsignal auf das Magnetfeld der Wirbelströme anspricht. Die beiden äußeren Flachspulen haben gleiche magnetische Eigenschaften und werden in einer Differenzschaltung betrieben, die bei fehlendem Metallgegenstand (3) den Einfluss auf die mittlere Flachspule (9) zu Null kompensiert. Um die Empfindlichkeit des Sensors (1) zu erhöhen, wird der Sensor mit zur Flachseite paralleler, vorbestimmter Erfassungsrichtung betrieben, wobei die beiden äußeren Flachspulen (7, 1) bezogen auf die mittlere Flachspule (9) gegensinnig um gleiche Abstände (Δx) versetzt sind.
