  • the allowed number of sensors and sensor combinations is not limited by available dedicated inputs of the central unit 100.
  • a new wired peripheral unit 200 can also be a wired routing unit in turns wired connected to a set of new wired peripheral units 200, or it can be or include a new radiofrequency host in turns wireless connected to a set of new wireless peripheral units 700; similarly, a new wireless peripheral unit 700 can be a wireless routing unit in turns wired connected to a set of new wired peripheral units 200, or it can be or include a new radiofrequency host in turns wireless connected to a set of new wireless peripheral units 700.
  • the system according to the invention can be freely expanded depending on the specific need of the users, even with new sensors or devices presently unknown (in this case, it is not necessary to change or modify the central unit 100, but it would be sufficient to adapt and dedicate a new wired or wireless peripheral unit to match the output of the new sensor or device, with the new wired or wireless peripheral unit still using the system communication protocol).
  • Each wired or wireless peripheral unit transmits real calibrated data, because it is specifically adapted to the respective sensor.
  • the short transfer lines of analogue data before data are converted to digital format reduces the risk of data contamination caused by electromagnetic disturbances.
  • the transfer lines of analogue data can be from about 1 millimetre or even less (when the sensor is built in the wired or wireless peripheral unit) up to practical length optimal for a specific type of signal, optionally not larger than 20 cm, more optionally not larger than 10 cm.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un système de surveillance de performances physiques d'utilisateurs comprenant une unité centrale (100) connectée à une pluralité d'unités périphériques (200 ; 700), dont chacune est pourvue d'un capteur respectif (300) configuré pour acquérir au moins un paramètre physique et/ou physiologique, le système étant caractérisé en ce que chaque unité périphérique (200 ; 700) comprend un microprocesseur (210), comprenant un compteur d'estampilles temporelles configuré pour générer des estampilles temporelles, qui est connecté à une circuiterie d'acquisition de données numériques configurée pour être connectée au capteur respectif (300) pour délivrer des données numériques concernant au moins une acquisition du capteur respectif (300), chaque unité périphérique (200 ; 700) étant configurée pour envoyer lesdites données numériques, avec une estampille temporelle générée par son compteur d'estampilles temporelles en même temps que ladite au moins une acquisition par le capteur, à l'unité centrale (100), l'unité centrale (100) comprenant un générateur de synchronisation (120) configuré pour synchroniser chaque unité périphérique (200 ; 700) par envoi, à cette dernière, d'un signal de synchronisation initial et d'un ou plusieurs signaux de synchronisation subséquents sur une ligne de synchronisation respective (430), moyennant quoi la connexion (400) entre chaque unité périphérique (200 ; 700) et l'unité centrale (100) comprend une ligne de synchronisation respective (430), chaque signal de synchronisation subséquent étant envoyé à chaque unité périphérique (200 ; 700) lorsqu'une dérive de son compteur d'estampilles temporelles par rapport au signal de synchronisation précédent, soit initial ou soit subséquent, a atteint un pourcentage d'un écart de synchronisation maximal ΔT.
