Abstract
Provided are a method and an apparatus of detecting a touch of a user terminal, and a user terminal using the same. The method of detecting a touch of a user terminal according to the present invention comprises the steps of: generating a sonic signal from the user terminal; inputting the generated sonic signal to the user terminal; simultaneously detecting whether an intensity of the input sonic signal is changed, and a degree of the change in the intensity; and determining whether a user touches the user terminal depending on whether the detected the intensity is changed. According to the present invention, a touch can be efficiently detected by only speaker/microphone and software provided in an existing equipment, without having hardware such as a pressure sensor. Furthermore, touch intensity is measured through a change rate in intensity of a sonic signal, and thus reliable touch intensity can be measured irrespective of outside noise.
