Abstract

Cette invention concerne un carbonate de calcium précipité anhydre et une suspension épaisse de particules de carbonate de calcium précipité ("PCC") au moins partiellement sous la forme d'entités allongées, notamment d'agglomérats de type nanofibres ou nanochaînes constitués d'au moins deux particules primaires interconnectées, et ayant de préférence, une certaine teneur en particules scalénoédriques, ayant des propriétés opacifiantes. La suspension épaisse peut être produite sur son lieu d'utilisation et, en raison de sa concentration élevée en CaCO3, peut être appliquée directement après sa production.
