Such estimation may involve the tracking of predefined special patterns during a live sports or reality-TV event, the translation of those tracking data into duration statistics normalized based on the event duration, and may thereby be used to calculate the percentage of the broadcast during which the advertisement was visible to viewers. In examples of these embodiments involving sporting events, the amount of time a logo on an athlete's shirt is visible and clickable during the course of a game may be calculated and transmitted to the advertiser.

Abstract
