However, the locking operation is once again manual and must be carried out by the user. If the user carries out this operation incorrectly, carelessly or forgets to carry it out, the scaffold could accidentally close and fold up during use, endangering the user.

  • Said frames 3, 5, as well as the other parts forming the scaffold 1 can be made of wood or of tubular metal elements, preferably in aluminium, which has a low specific weight and makes the scaffold as a whole lighter and easier to transport.

  • the axis of said fifth hinge C5 can act as a support for said platform 7 cooperating with its supporting connecting rods 8, when the scaffold is in its open configuration.
  • said pairs of oblique crosspieces 9, 19 are rigidly locked together with triangulation implemented by means of two pairs of base connecting rods 10, each provided with a central hinge 11 with horizontal axis, arranged at the base of the same scaffold.
  • Each pair of base connecting rods 10 have ends 10', 10" connected simultaneously to said frames 3, 5 and to said oblique crosspieces 9, 19 at said third C3 and fourth C4 hinge with horizontal axis.
  • said pairs of base connecting rods 10 are arranged side by side and parallel to the vertical uprights 4, 6 of said frames 3, 5, while they can rotate and take a position substantially perpendicular to said uprights 4, 6 during opening of the scaffold 1.
  • Said scaffold 1 comprises two vertical guides 12 constrained at their ends to the central hinges 18 of said pairs of supporting connecting rods 8 of the platform 7 and to the central hinges 11 of said pairs of base connecting rods 10.
  • Each guide 12 comprises a slot 13 in which the horizontal axis of said fifth hinge C5 of said two pairs of oblique crosspieces 9, 19 slides freely. As shown in Figs. 2 and 4, during opening and closing of the scaffold 1 , the axis of said fifth hinge C5 translates vertically inside said slot 13, remaining confined therein.
  • Said guides 12 thus prevent, during opening and closing of the scaffold 1 , the frames 3, 5, the pairs of connecting rods 8, 10 and the pairs of oblique crosspieces 9, 19 from bending and becoming misaligned, damaging the connecting hinges.
  • connection of the guides 12 to the central hinges 18, 11 of said supporting connecting rods 8 and of said base connecting rods 10 enables said connecting rods 8, 10 to move synchronously with one another as a result of translation of said frames 3, 5.
  • Said scaffold 1 also comprises horizontal rods joining the top of said frames 3, 5 with vertical uprights and acting as a parapet for the user, in open configuration, as shown in Fig. 5.

  • said locking means 15 comprise two plates, arranged in proximity of the central hinges 17 of said pairs of connecting rods 14, adapted to be reversibly placed over said hinges 17, and maintained in position by means of a coupling pin, to prevent them from rotating when the scaffold 1 is open and the tubular arms are extended.
  • Said scaffold 1 is provided with built in ladder 2.
  • a ladder 2 is interposed between a pair of oblique crosspieces 9 for the user to climb to the horizontal platform 7, after lifting one of the half-platforms T of which it is formed.
  • a half-platform T is in fact constrained to only one pair of supporting connecting rods 8 by means of hinges 20 that allow it to be lifted laterally. In this way it is possible to rotate said half-platform T to take it from a horizontal position to a vertical position that frees a portion of space to enable the user to access the platform 7 by means of said ladder 2.
  • a pair of wheels 16 are provided in the lower part of the vertical uprights 6 of one of the frames 5.
  • Said wheels 16 are not in contact with the ground but are raised slightly in order not to compromise the stability of the scaffold 1 during its use. To move the scaffold 1 it is therefore sufficient to lift it slightly and tilt it toward the wheels 16, so that they rest on the ground.
  • the opening sequence of the scaffold 1 takes place as follows.
  • pairs of oblique crosspieces 9, 19 are automatically tilted and the fifth hinge C5, which connects their ends 9", 19", remains inside the slot aligned at all times.
  • the pairs of supporting connecting rods 8 of the platform 7, the pairs of parapet connecting rods 14 and the pairs of base connecting rods 10 for connection of the oblique crosspieces 9, 19, are arranged perfectly horizontal, respectively ensuring stability of the platform 7, defining the safety parapet and implementing the triangulation that locks the oblique crosspieces 9, 19.
  • the scaffold 1 is open in its extended configuration, it is sufficient to lift one of the two half-platforms T and climb the ladder 2 until reaching the half-platform 7" that has remained in horizontal position.
  • the half-platform T is lowered to be able to use the whole platform 7.
  • the scaffold 1 can be folded again by repeating the sequence of operations described above in reverse order.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne le domaine de l'équipement de loisir et de travail. En particulier, l'invention concerne un échafaudage pliant (1) doté d'une échelle (2) intégrée, qui comprend : - un premier châssis (3) avec des montants (4) verticaux parallèles; - un second châssis (5) avec des montants (6) verticaux parallèles; - une plate-forme (7) horizontale pour le raccordement des châssis (3, 5), la plate-forme (7) comprenant une première (7') et une seconde (7") demi plate-forme contraintes à deux paires de tiges (8) de raccordement de soutien, chacune avec une charnière (18) centrale à axe horizontal, les deux ayant une extrémité (8') raccordée au moyen d'une première charnière (C1) à axe horizontal au premier châssis (3) et d'une seconde extrémité (8") raccordée au moyen d'une deuxième charnière (C2) à axe horizontal au second châssis (5); - deux paires de traverses obliques (9, 19) pour raccordement des châssis (3, 5), les traverses (9, 19) comprenant des premières extrémités (9', 19') raccordées à la base des montants (4, 6) verticaux respectifs au moyen d'une troisième (C3) et d'une quatrième (C4) charnière à axe horizontal. En particulier, les traverses obliques (9, 19) comprennent des secondes extrémités raccordées l'une à l'autre au moyen d'une cinquième charnière (C5) à axe horizontal, apte à permettre la transition entre une conception fermée aplatie de l'échafaudage (1) et une conception ouverte, apte pour une utilisation de l'échafaudage, en coopération avec la plate-forme horizontale.
