  • the enclosure comprises a second part 32, in this example embodiment in the form of a component rack, which is made of a suitable metal, such as steel. At least part of the electronic circuitry 18 is mounted on a component carrier 34 which is slidable into and out of the rack. The at least one antenna 20 is located adjacent the rack in the crown region 22 of the enclosure.
  • the intermediate station 12 comprises an air moving arrangement 35 for moving air 36 from outside the enclosure 16 through inlet ports 38 defined in a bottom part 40 of the enclosure opposite the crown region 22 into the enclosure, past the electronic circuitry 18 and then out of the enclosure through outlet ports 42 defined intermediate the crown region 22 and the inlet ports 38 in a side panel 44 of the enclosure.
  • the air so moved serves to cool the electronic circuitry 18 enclosed by the enclosure.
  • the air moving arrangement 35 may comprise at least one fan 46 located in the enclosure adjacent the inlet ports 38 and at least one fan 48 located in the enclosure adjacent the outlet ports 42.

Abstract

L'invention concerne une station intermédiaire (10) pour un réseau (11) sans fil, pouvant être déployée entre une station (12) de niveau supérieur et au moins un dispositif (14.1 à 14.n) d'utilisateur final sans fil. La station intermédiaire comprend une enceinte (16). Un ensemble de circuits électroniques (18) comprenant un émetteur-récepteur de fréquence radio est situé dans l'enceinte. Au moins une antenne (20) est également située dans l'enceinte et l'antenne est connectée à l'émetteur-récepteur. Au moins une première partie (22) de l'enceinte (16) est composée d'un matériau qui est transparent aux signaux de fréquence radio, afin de permettre la propagation des signaux (24) de fréquence radio à travers la au moins une première partie (22) de l'enceinte vers et depuis l'antenne. La station comprend en outre au moins un écran (28, 30) sur l'enceinte (16) pouvant fonctionner pour afficher la signalisation.
