Abstract

The invention concerns a motor vehicle seat (100) comprising a seatback part (10) and a sitting part (20), the sitting part comprising a base panel (21) bordered at least partially by a side panel (22), and means (40) for mounting the seat on the vehicle floor panel (200) in two different positions: a first, accommodating, position, in which the side panel extends at least partially in the extension of the seatback part, between said seatback part and the sitting part base panel, and a second, reversed, position, in which the base panel extends between the seatback part and the side panel of the sitting part. According to the invention, it further comprises means for locking the sitting part in at least one of the two - accommodation and reversed - positions, at least some of these locking means belonging to the seatback part.

Motor vehicle seat with return seat element comprising locking means

TECHNICAL FIELD TO WHICH THE INVENTION RELATES The present invention relates to a motor vehicle seat comprising a back element and a seat element, said seat element comprising a seat wall bordered at least partially by a side wall, and mounting means on the floor of the vehicle in two distinct positions: a first home position, wherein the side wall extends at least partially in the extension of the backrest element, between the backrest element and the wall of the seat member, and a second turning position, wherein the seat wall extends between the back member and the side wall of the seat member.

It also relates to a motor vehicle comprising such a seat. Finally, it relates to a method of reversing such a seat.

BACKGROUND

Document FR2950005 describes a seat as described in the introduction.

This seat more precisely comprises a rim which extends along its side wall and cooperates with the peripheral edge of an opening of the floor of the vehicle for its positioning in its home positions and overturning.

Such a seat allows, by a reversal of the seat member, to move from a position in which the seat wall is low and the seat member forms a tub adapted to accommodate a passenger of the vehicle, to a position in which the seat wall is raised, and the seat member forms a cover of a housing provided under the seat.

The housing can then serve as a storage box.

A disadvantage of this solution lies in the fact that the seat element can not be locked in any of its two positions. Consequently, the closure of the housing formed under the seat can not be secured and the positioning of the seat element to form the bucket-type seat can not be secured either. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

In order to overcome the aforementioned drawback of the state of the art, the present invention proposes a new motor vehicle seat in which the seat element can be locked at least in one of its two positions while allowing a quick and easy reversal of the seat element.

More particularly, it is proposed according to the invention a seat as described in the introduction, wherein there is further provided locking means of the seat member, in at least one of the two home positions and reversal, at least a part of these locking means belonging to said file element.

Thanks to the seat according to the invention, it is possible to lock the seat element, in its home position, so as to prohibit the removal of the seat element used as a seat by a passenger, either in its turning position, so as to secure the closure of the housing formed under the seat when the seat element forms a storage box. The part of the locking means belonging to the backrest element is thus adapted to cooperate with the seat element in these two positions.

These locking means also lock the position of the backrest element.

These locking means are for example key locking means, easily lockable and unlockable, so that it is easy to open and securely close the storage box formed by the seat member in the overturned position. . It is also easy to lock / unlock the seat member to move from one to the other of these two positions.

Other non-limiting and advantageous characteristics of the seat according to the invention are the following:

- The seat member further comprises hooking means adapted to cooperate, in at least one of its home positions and reversal, with complementary fastening means of the backrest element;

said attachment means of the seat element on the backrest element comprise a first attachment means on the backrest element in the home position and a second attachment means on the backrest element. folder in the turning position, each being adapted to cooperate with the same additional attachment means of the file element;

said means for mounting the seat element on the floor of the vehicle being adapted to cooperate with at least one mounting lug of the vehicle floor, each of said first and second mounting means of the seat element comprises less a home slot which is adapted to be traversed by this mounting bracket;

said locking means comprise, on the one hand, a locking element belonging to the backrest element and adapted to be moved between a locking position and a release position and, on the other hand, a housing belonging to said element. seat and adapted to receive this locking element in the locking position, the locking element in the locking position and the housing of the seat element being arranged so that any displacement of the element of sitting is forbidden;

The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising a seat as described above and a floor provided with complementary mounting means adapted to cooperate retaining said mounting means of said seat, in each of its home positions and turnaround.

Said complementary mounting means can be attached to the floor or integrated therewith.

Finally, it relates to a method of reversing the seat element of the motor vehicle seat, the seat being initially in its home position, comprising the following steps:

unlocking said locking means,

moving said seat element towards the corresponding disengaged position in which the attachment means in the home position are released from their cooperation with the complementary fastening means of the backrest element,

moving the seat element so as to release the mounting means in the home position from their cooperation with the complementary mounting means of the floor of the vehicle,

- return the seat element so as to have its seat wall between the back element and its side wall,

putting in cooperation the mounting means in the overturning position with said complementary mounting means of the floor of the vehicle,

moving said seat element towards the turning position so as to establish the cooperation between the fastening means of the seat element (20) in the overturned position and the complementary fastening means of the element of folder (10),

- lock said locking means.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AN EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENT The following description with reference to the accompanying drawings, given by way of non-limiting examples, will make it clear what the invention consists of and how it can be implemented.

In the preamble, it will be noted that the terms front and rear, on the one hand, and the terms upper and lower, on the other hand, will be used in the description with reference to the conventional orientation of a seat in a motor vehicle, in which the seat-mounted passenger faces the road in the forward direction.

Device

Figures 1, 2, 3 and 9, there is shown a seat 100 for a motor vehicle according to the invention.

This seat 100 comprises a back element 10 and a seat element

20.

The back element 10 here comprises a removable part 1 1 upper and a fixed part 12 lower. The fixed part 12 of the backrest element 10 is non-detachably fixed to the structure of the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

The removable part 1 1 comprises a frame covered by a textile covering 1 1 A. It is mounted on the fixed part 12 of this back element 10. This back element 10 is intended to extend substantially vertically in the motor vehicle according to the invention.

The seat element 20 is on the examples shown here, as a molded shell. It is made for example of plastic.

This seat element 20 comprises a seat wall 21 bordered at least partially by a side wall 22, and is adapted to be mounted in the vehicle in two distinct positions: a first home position, shown in FIG. and a second turning position, shown in FIG. 2, in which the seat element 20 has been turned 180 degrees about an axis generally parallel to the seat wall 21 and to the back element 10.

In these two positions, the seat wall 21 of the seat element 20 is intended to extend substantially horizontally in the motor vehicle.

The seat wall 21 has an upper face 21 A facing the passenger in the home position of the seat member 20 and an opposite lower face 21 B (Figure 2) facing the floor 200 of the vehicle in this home position. On the upper face 21A of the seat wall 21, there is provided a seat cushion 23 (Figure 1).

The seat wall 21 has a generally rectangular shape, with here very rounded corners. The side wall 22 here borders this seat wall 21 along three first of its sides. It thus comprises a central portion 22A which runs along a longitudinal side of the seat wall 21 and two end portions 22B which run along the lateral sides of the seat wall 21.

The second longitudinal side of the seat wall 21, not bordered by the side wall 22, will be called hereinafter the front side of the seat wall 21.

The free edge of the side wall 22 and the front side of the seat wall 21 is surrounded by a flange 24 which extends outwardly of the seat element 20.

The portion of this rim 24 which runs along the front side of the seat wall 21 will hereinafter be called the front edge 24A of the seat element 20. The portion of this rim 24 which runs along the free edge of the portion 22A of the side wall 22 will be referred to in the following the rear flange 24B of the seat member 20.

The side wall 22 rises from the upper face 21 A of the wall seat 21 and has a height relative to this variable seat wall 21.

More specifically, the height of the side wall 22 is here maximum on the central portion 22A bordering the portion of the seat wall 21 opposite said fourth side of the seat wall 21. It then decreases along the end portions 22B of the side wall 22 to join the seat wall 21 at its front side.

In the home position of the seat member (Figure 1), the seat wall 21 extends generally in the extension of the floor 200 of the vehicle. It thus closes an opening formed under the seat 100 in the floor 200.

The front edge 24A of the seat element 20, is then oriented towards the front of the vehicle.

The central portion 22A of the side wall 22 then extends in the extension of the back element 10, between the back element 10 and the seat wall 21 of the seat element 20. This central portion 22A of the side wall 22 then forms, with the back element 10, the seat back 100.

It is understood that the central portion 22A of the side wall 22 is then oriented towards the rear of the vehicle.

In this home position, the seat element 20 allows the user to sit on the seat cushion 23 provided on the upper face 21 A of the seat wall 21. The user leans against the central portion of the side wall 22 and the back element 10. His legs pass above the front edge 24A of the seat element 20.

In the upright position of the seat element (FIG. 2), the seat wall 21 extends between the back element 10 and the side wall 22 of the seat element 20.

The lower face 21 B of the seat wall 21 is oriented towards the user and the upper face 21 A of the seat wall 21 is then oriented towards the floor 200 of the vehicle. Finally, the central portion 22A of the side wall 22 of the seat member 20 is oriented towards the front of the vehicle.

In this turnaround position, the seat wall 21 is raised relative to the floor of the vehicle by the side wall 22. Accordingly, the seat member 20 here defines a housing in which the user can store his effects. personal. This accommodation is even larger it preferably overhangs the opening of the floor mentioned above. This opening of the floor 200 opening into a free space located under the seat.

The seat element 20 then forms a storage box.

It is further possible to use the seat element placed in this turning position as a booster, so as to form a child seat.

Remarkably, the seat 100 according to the invention further comprises locking means 30 of the seat element 20, in at least one of the two receiving and reversing positions, at least part of these means of lock 30 belonging to said back member 10 of the seat 100.

Thus, when these locking means block the seat member in the home position, the mounting of the seat member can be secured while allowing easy unlocking for the overturning of this seat element.

When these locking means block the seat member in the upright position, the closure of the storage box can be secured to ensure the inviolability by third parties.

Preferably, as is the case in the example shown, the locking means 30 of the seat 100 make it possible to lock the seat element 20 in its two receiving and reversing positions.

This is a locking means 30 comprising a locking element adapted to be moved between a locking position in which any displacement of the seat element is prohibited and a release position in which the movement of the element. sitting is allowed.

Advantageously, the positioning of this locking element is controlled by a control means forming part of the locking means, which can be removable.

This control means may be for example mechanical, for example in the form of a key, or electrical, in the form of a digital key actuating an electric actuator for example.

In addition, at least a part of these locking means belongs, as explained in more detail below, to the removable part 1 1 of the back element 10. The locking means which allow to lock the element of sitting in its two positions of welcome and turnaround, that is to say of blocking the seat element in each of its positions, also allow to lock the removable portion 1 1 of the back member 10, blocking any movement of the removable portion, which prevents its removal from the seat 100.

These locking means 30 here comprise a single lock 31 belonging to the backrest element 10 and cooperation means 70 with this lock in the two reception and reversing positions belonging to the seat element 20.

This lock 31 comprises a cylinder in which a key can be inserted so as to actuate means for moving a bolt forming said locking element. This bolt is for example in the form of a rod.

The bolt is adapted to be moved between a locking position and a release position of the seat element 20.

The cooperation means 70 with the lock 31 of the seat element 20 comprise first cooperation means 71 with the lock 31 in the home position and second cooperation means 72 with this lock 31 in the overturning position. .

More specifically, in the example shown in the figures, each of the front flanges 24A and 24B rear of the seat member 20 has a central tongue 25A, 25B projecting from this flange, outwardly of the seat element, which corresponds to a portion of the rim of greater width than the rest of the rim.

Each tongue 25A, 25B comprises a recess 71, 72 forming a housing adapted to receive the bolt in the locking position.

These recesses 71, 72 therefore each play the role of the strike of the lock 31 in one of the positions of the seat element and form the first and second cooperation means 71, 72.

In order to ensure the attachment of the seat element 20 of the seat 100 in the vehicle, the seat element 20 comprises mounting means 40 on the floor 200 of the vehicle in its two home positions and reversal .

These mounting means 40 are adapted to cooperate with complementary mounting means 210 of the floor of the vehicle.

For this purpose, the seat element 20 comprises first mounting means 41 adapted to cooperate with the complementary mounting means 210 of the floor 200 in the home position and the second mounting means 42 adapted to cooperate with the same complementary mounting means 210 of the floor 200 in the overturned position.

In addition, here, the seat element 20 of the seat 100 comprises attachment means 50 adapted to cooperate, in at least one of its home positions and overturning, with complementary attachment means 60 the folder item.

Here, it is advantageously provided that the seat element 20 comprises hooking means 50 adapted to cooperate with said complementary hooking means 60 of the backrest element 10 in the two receiving and reversing positions.

The seat element 20 thus comprises first attachment means 51 adapted to cooperate with the complementary attachment means 60 of the back element 10 in the home position and second mounting means 52 adapted to cooperate with the same complementary fastening means 60 of the back element 10 in the overturning position.

All the means of cooperation 71, 72 with the lock 31 of the seat element, mounting 41, 42 on the floor 200 and hooking 51, 52 on the back element 10 is arranged on the flanges front 24A and rear 24B of the seat element 20.

Indeed, the front flange 24A cooperates with the floor 200 of the vehicle in the home position and with the back element 10 in the overturning position, while the rear flange 24B cooperates with the back element 10 in the home position and with the floor 200 of the vehicle in the overturning position.

Thus the front edge 24A of the seat member 20 (Figures 2 to 5) carries the first mounting means 41, the second attachment means 52 and the second cooperation means 72 with the lock, while the rear edge 24B (FIGS. 1, 3, 4 and 5) carries the second mounting means 42, the first attachment means 51 and the first cooperation means 71 with the lock 31.

More specifically, the floor of the vehicle according to the invention comprises at least one mounting lug and the mounting means of the seat element on the floor of the vehicle comprise at least one receiving slot adapted to be traversed by this mounting lug.

There are provided two mounting tabs 21 1 in the floor 200 of the vehicle (Figure 6) and two slots 41 A, 42A (Figures 4 and 5) for each first 41 and second 42 mounting means.

The floor 200 has a recess 205 adapted to receive the front or rear edge of the seat member 20, which is supported on the recess of the floor 200. Each mounting lug 21 1 protrudes from the floor 200 through a window 201 of this floor, formed in a substantially vertical portion of the recess 205 of the floor 200 (Figures 6 and 7).

Each mounting lug 21 1 (see FIG. 8) has the general shape of a hook, one end of which forms a support 212 provided with two holes for the passage of a fixing screw 202 adapted to fix this mounting lug 21 1 on the floor 200 and the other free end protrude through the window 201 of the floor 200 to cooperate with the retaining element 20.

This free end of the mounting lug 21 1 is bent: it comprises a first straight branch which passes through the window 213 and a second straight branch which extends outwardly of the mounting lug 21 1 forming an angle between 1 10 and 150 degrees with the first branch. This form of the mounting lug 21 1 gives it a certain flexibility.

Each of the slots 41 A, 42A for receiving the mounting means 40 of the seat element 20 is delimited by a hoop rising from the front rim 24A or rear 24B of the seat element 20 (FIGS. 4 and 5).

Each arch rises from the face of the front flange 24A or rear 24B which is oriented towards the floor of the vehicle in the corresponding position of the seat element 20.

As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the arches of the first mounting means 41 provided on the front flange 24A rise from the underside of the front flange 24A, facing the floor 200 in the home position of 20. The arches of the second mounting means 42 provided on the rear flange 24B rise from the upper face of this rear flange 24B, facing the floor 200 in the reversal position of the seating element 20.

Each arch rises slightly protruding above the face corresponding to the flange concerned and forms with it the slot for receiving the corresponding mounting lug 21 1 of the floor 200.

The particular arrangement of the hoops forming reception slots and mounting tabs 21 1 that the seat member 20 can be removed from the floor by a simple translational movement of the seat member 20.

These mounting means 40 allow its movement, here at least in part by pivoting, from each of its home positions and turning to open positions to release the attachment means 50 of the seat member 20 of their cooperation with said complementary fastening means 60 of the back element 10, and, in the opposite direction of pivoting, to establish the cooperation of the fastening means 50 of the seat element 10 with said fastening means additional 60 of the file element 10.

As explained below, the mounting means 40 of the seat member 20 are in fact pivotal mounting means on the floor 200.

Here, the complementary attachment means 60 of the back element 10 comprise a single hooking lug 61 which projects from the back element 10 (FIGS. 9 and 10).

More specifically, here, this latching lug 61 is attached to the fixed part 12 of the back element 10. This fixed part 12 of the back element 10 is disposed between the seat element 20 and the part The fixed part 12 of the back element 10 comprises a metal frame fixed to the structure of the passenger compartment of the vehicle and a molded plastic coating.

This plastic covering comprises a hook-off 15 on which the front flange 24A or rear 24B of the seat element 20 bears.

The hooking lug 61, shown more particularly in FIG. 10, is made of metal.

This hooking lug 61 protrudes from the fixed part 12 of the backrest element 10 through a window 13 formed in the recess 15 of this fixed part 12. The frame of this window is substantially horizontal and the hooking tab 61 protrudes from the window at an angle to the frame preferably between 60 and 80 degrees.

The hooking tab 61 comprises a support 62 provided with an orifice 63 passage of a fixing screw 14 fixing the support 62 of the hooking tab 61 on the frame of the window 13 of the fixed part 12 of the backrest element 10.

Each of the first 51 and second 52 attachment means of the seat member 20 comprises an orifice 51, 52 adapted to be traversed by said latching lug 61 in the corresponding home or reversing position of the element. sitting 20.

The orifices 51, 52 of the attachment means 50 of the seat member 20 are formed in the recess 71, 72 forming the keeper of the lock 31 in each home position or turnaround. The tongue 25A, 25B of the front and rear edges has, in correspondence of the recess 71, 72, a boss, which is housed in the window 13 of the fixed part 12 of the back element 10.

The size of each orifice 51, 52 is such that, in order to disengage the seat element 20 from the hooking tab 61, it is necessary to apply to the seat element 20 a particular pivoting movement, around of an axis passing through the mounting lugs 21 1 of the floor 200.

The mounting tabs are not here parallel to each other, but the clearance between each mounting bracket and the corresponding arch allows this pivoting movement.

Said locking means 30 are adapted to block the pivoting of the seat member 20 in each of the home and overturning positions, as explained in more detail below.

Process

We will now describe in more detail the implementation of the seat according to the invention.

The seat element is initially considered in its home position, shown in Figure 1.

In this locked home position, the front edge 24A of the seat member 20 is housed in the recess 205 of the floor 200. The mounting tabs 21 1 of the floor 200 pass through the slots 41 A of the home seat element 200.

The rear rim 24B of the seat element 20 rests on the unhooked portion 15 of the fixed part 12 of the backrest element 10. The hump of the tongue 25B of the rear rim 24B is housed in the window 13 of the stall 15 of the the fixed part 12 of the file element 10. The bolt of the lock 31 is engaged in the recess 71 of the tongue 25B and the attachment tab 61 passes through the orifice 51 formed in this recess 71.

Thus, the rear edge 24B of the seat element 20 is pressed against the back element 10.

The pivoting of the seat element 20 in this home position is thus blocked by the lock 31.

When the user wishes to return the seat element 20 of the seat 100, either to arrange his belongings in the storage box formed by the returned seat element, or to seat a child on the seat element returned he carries out the following steps.

Firstly, the user introduces the appropriate key into the cylinder of the lock 31, accessible on the front face of the file element 10.

It unlocks the seat element: it turns the key in the lock 31, which causes the movement of the bolt of the lock: it pivots or translates, so as to leave the hollow 71 of the rear flange 24B. The pivoting of the seat element 20 is thus authorized (FIG. 1 1).

However, the seat member 20 remains held on the floor and the backrest member 10 by the cooperation of the mounting means and attachment of the seat member 20 with the complementary means described above.

Then, in order to allow the pivoting of the seat element 20, the user disengages the removable part 1 1 from the back element 10 from its fixed part 12.

The removable part 1 1 comprises the portion 18 of the frame of the backing element on which the lock 31 is mounted.

The removable portion 1 1 located above the rear flange 24B of the seat member 20 is thus removed.

The user then grasps the rear edge 24B of the seat member 20 and rotates the latter around the axis passing through the mounting tabs 21 1 of the floor. In other words, it pivots the seat element 20 about a pivot axis located near the front edge 24A (Figure 12).

It thus moves the seat element 20 towards a first disengaged position, in which the first attachment means 51 on the back element 10 of the seat 100 are released from their cooperation with the leg of attachment 61 of this file element. In practice, it pivots the seat element 20 until the hooking tab 61 is out of the corresponding orifice 51 of the seat element 20.

This pivoting is of the order of 20 to 40 degrees of angle.

Then, the user moves the seat member 20 so as to release the first mounting means 41, in the home position, the seat member 20 of their cooperation with the complementary mounting means of the floor of the vehicle. Here, it lifts the seat member 20 until the mounting lugs 21 1 of the floor 200 are out of the corresponding slots 41 A.

The user returns the seat element 20 so as to have its seat wall 21 between the back element 10 and its side wall 22.

It slides the mounting tabs 21 1 of the floor 200 in the slots 42A of the rear flange 24B of the seat member 20 to engage the second mounting means 42, in the inverted position, of the element of seat 20 with the complementary mounting means 21 1 of the floor 200 of the vehicle. The seat element 20 is then in a second disengaged position, in which the second attachment means 50 do not cooperate with the latching lug 61 of the back element 10 (FIG. 13).

To facilitate this operation and improve the comfort of the user, it is provided (see Figures 6 and 7) under the mounting tabs 21 1 of the floor 200, at the bottom of the recess 205, stop elements 206 adapted to limit the race mounting lugs 21 1 when they bend, and damping elements 207 made of flexible rubber, for example, which dampen the shocks between the mounting lugs 21 1 and the bottom of the recess 205 of the floor 200. The vibrations and the noise related to these shocks are thus limited.

The user then moves the seat element 20 so as to establish the cooperation between the attachment means 52 of the seat element 20 in the overturned position and the attachment means 60 complementary to the element folder 10.

In practice, it then rotates said seat member 20 about the axis passing through the mounting lugs 21 1, until the second attachment means 52, in the inverted position, of the element d seat 20 on the back element 10 of the seat 100, cooperate with the complementary fastening means 61 of the back element 10, that is to say up to that the hooking lug 61 of the backrest element 10 slides in the orifice 52 of the corresponding seating element (FIG. 14).

The user then mounts the removable part of the backrest 1 1 on its fixed part 12, for example by clipping or by interlocking.
