Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil pour gazéification thermocatalytique par plasma en une étape et vitrification de matériaux organiques, comprenant un réacteur généralement en forme d'entonnoir comportant une section supérieure et une section inférieure, ladite section inférieure comprenant une première partie plus large reliée par un élément de transition en tronc de cône à une seconde partie plus étroite, et pouvant recevoir un lit de catalyseur, et ladite section supérieure comportant au moins un orifice d'échappement des gaz ; une pluralité d'orifices d'entrée pour le matériau en provenance d'une pluralité de directions, situés au niveau de la partie supérieure de la section inférieure et permettant l'introduction du matériau dans la partie supérieure de la section inférieure ; un système d'admission de gaz disposé autour de la section inférieure et destiné à alimenter cette dernière en gaz par un ou plusieurs orifice d'admission situés au niveau de ladite section inférieure ; et une pluralité de torches à arc plasma installées dans la section inférieure et destinées à chauffer le lit de catalyseur et le matériau. L'invention concerne également un procédé de traitement par plasma de la biomasse.
