Description

Portable information terminal device and touch panel sensitivity setting method
The present invention relates to a portable information terminal device having a touch panel and a sensitivity setting method for the touch panel.
A personal digital assistant having a touch panel is generally adjusted to detect a touch with a bare hand on the touch panel, and the touch is not detected when a glove is worn.
Therefore, it is conceivable to increase the sensitivity so that the touch operation on the touch panel can be performed even while wearing gloves. However, simply increasing the sensitivity becomes too sensitive when used with bare hands, and there is a risk of malfunction such as being erroneously recognized as a touch simply by bringing a finger close to the touch panel.
Therefore, it is usually used in a mode that assumes touch with bare hands (hereinafter referred to as `` normal mode ''), but by switching to a mode with increased sensitivity by user operation (hereinafter referred to as `` high sensitivity mode '') Generally, it is possible to perform a touch operation on the touch panel when wearing gloves.
In consideration of the convenience of the user, as a method capable of user operation for switching to the high sensitivity mode while wearing gloves without providing a special switch for switching the high sensitivity mode, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2012-194791 There is a method using a mobile terminal device disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication (Patent Document 1).
In the mobile terminal device disclosed in Patent Document 1, a touch panel that can set the detection sensitivity of input from a user, an acceleration detection unit that detects acceleration of the mobile terminal device body, and a predetermined acceleration by the acceleration detection unit. Is detected, it is determined whether the input from the user can be detected while sequentially switching the detection sensitivity of the touch panel to a predetermined sensitivity, and based on the determination result, the touch panel The detection sensitivity is set to a sensitivity that can detect input from the user.
However, the conventional mobile terminal device has the following problems. That is, in order to detect the acceleration of the mobile terminal device main body and the touch operation on the touch panel, it is necessary to always operate the acceleration detection unit and the touch sensor of the touch panel. Therefore, there is a problem that power consumption increases. In particular, in the case of a portable terminal device, since the power source depends on a battery, a problem related to power consumption is important.
Furthermore, in order to reduce power consumption, the acceleration detection unit and the touch sensor are operated only on the touch screen when the operation on the mobile terminal device starts, and only on the lock screen for privacy protection. It is possible to make it. However, in that case, it is necessary to shake the mobile terminal device body when unlocking, and the usability is deteriorated.

If the sensitivity is set to the first sensitivity and it is determined that the unlock button having the detection sensitivity set to the second sensitivity is touched, the detection sensitivity of the touch panel is set to the first sensitivity. 2 sensitivity can be set. At that time, a mechanical switch for judging whether or not the operated hand is in a glove wearing state by detecting a change in resistance value or capacitance, or a request for switching the detection sensitivity of the touch panel. That is, in the present embodiment, the touch detection unit is configured by the input / output control unit 3. The lock screen display unit includes an input / output control unit 3 and a control processing unit 8. The lock release button sensitivity setting unit and the touch panel sensitivity setting unit are configured by a sensitivity adjustment unit 4 and a control processing unit 8. The lock release button touch determination unit is configured by the control processing unit 8.
Hereinafter, the sensitivity setting processing operation by the portable information terminal device 1 having the above configuration will be described in detail.
In the present embodiment, the sensitivity setting process is performed by using the user's operation on the unlock button composed of software keys (hereinafter referred to as “soft keys”) displayed on the touch panel 2. That is, it represents that the portable information terminal device 1 is in a locked state, and the user touches the unlock button while gradually increasing the detection sensitivity of the touch sensor with respect to the lock screen on which the unlock button is displayed. Is detected. Then, the detection sensitivity of the touch sensor is set based on the detection sensitivity at the time when the user's touch is detected.
FIG. 2 is a flowchart of sensitivity setting processing operation executed under the control of the control processing unit 8. When the power button 6 is pressed by the user, the sensitivity setting processing operation starts.
In step S1, the input / output control unit 3 displays the lock screen including the lock release button 9 on the touch panel 2 as illustrated in FIG. In step S2, the sensitivity adjustment unit 4 causes the detection sensitivity of the touch sensor for the lock screen (hereinafter simply referred to as detection sensitivity) to be “normal sensitivity that is the first sensitivity on the premise of touch with bare hands”. Initially set. Here, the initial value of the detection sensitivity of the lock screen is stored in the storage unit 5 in advance.
The user can unlock by touching the unlock button 9 on the lock screen and sliding downward.
In step S3, based on a touch detection signal that is input from the input / output control unit 3 and indicates that the touch sensor of the touch panel 2 has detected a touch by the user, within N seconds after the lock screen is displayed, It is determined whether an unlock operation has been detected. As a result, when the unlocking operation is detected, the process proceeds to step S9, and when the unlocking operation is not detected, the process proceeds to step S4.
In step S4, since the touch sensitivity by the user cannot be detected when the detection sensitivity of the lock screen is the normal sensitivity (initial setting), the lock screen is detected based on the data information stored in the storage unit 5 by the sensitivity adjustment unit 4. Is set to high sensitivity which is the second sensitivity higher than the normal sensitivity.
In step S5, in the same manner as in the case of step S3, it is determined whether or not an unlock operation by the user is detected within M (M> N) seconds after the high sensitivity setting. As a result, if detected, the process proceeds to step S6. If not detected, the process returns to step S1 to activate the lock screen.
In step S6, in order to confirm the user's intention, a pop-up screen including an inquiry sentence “Do you want to start in high sensitivity mode?” And the “Yes” button and “No” button consisting of the above soft keys is displayed. The
In step S7, based on the touch detection signal input from the input / output control unit 3, it is determined whether or not the user's selection for the pop-up is “Yes”. As a result, if “Yes”, the process proceeds to step S8, and if not “Yes” (“No”), the process proceeds to step S9.
In step S8, the sensitivity adjustment unit 4 sets the detection sensitivity of the position input device on the touch panel 2 to high sensitivity based on an instruction from the control processing unit 8. Thus, the touch detection sensitivity for all the screens displayed on the display device of the touch panel 2 is set to a high sensitivity.
After that, the above sensitivity setting processing operation is terminated, and the process proceeds to the unlock processing operation.
In step S9, the sensitivity adjustment unit 4 sets the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 to the normal sensitivity based on an instruction from the control processing unit 8. Thus, the touch detection sensitivity for all the screens displayed on the display device of the touch panel 2 is set to the normal sensitivity.
After that, the above sensitivity setting processing operation is terminated, and the process proceeds to the unlock processing operation.
As described above, in the present embodiment, when the power button 6 is pressed by the user, the lock screen including the unlock button 9 is displayed on the touch panel 2, and the detection sensitivity of the lock screen is initially set to the normal sensitivity. Set. After that, the sensitivity adjustment unit 4 switches the detection sensitivity of the lock screen between the “normal sensitivity” for N seconds and the “high sensitivity” for M seconds, to the touch detection signal from the input / output control unit 3. Based on this, it is determined whether or not an unlock operation by the user has been detected.
If the unlocking operation is detected when the detection sensitivity of the lock screen is “normal sensitivity”, the sensitivity adjustment unit 4 sets the detection sensitivity for the touch panel 2 to the normal sensitivity. On the other hand, when the unlocking operation is detected when the detection sensitivity of the lock screen is “high sensitivity”, the high sensitivity is set.
In short, the lock release button 9 that can be touch-operated when wearing gloves is provided for a limited time so that unlocking and detection sensitivity setting are performed simultaneously.
Therefore, a mechanical switch for determining whether or not the hand operated by detecting a change in resistance value or capacitance is in a glove wearing state, or a swinging operation for a request to switch the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 It is possible to switch the detection sensitivity in a gloved state without providing a special device such as an acceleration sensor for detecting the above. Therefore, convenience at the time of switching the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 can be enhanced.
Also, at that time, the sensitivity setting process is performed using the user's operation on the unlock button 9 on the lock screen. Therefore, it is not necessary to additionally install a dedicated circuit for switching the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 or to additionally execute special processing, and an increase in power consumption can be suppressed.
In the above configuration, when an operation with a bare hand is detected after N seconds have elapsed without being detected by the user within N seconds after displaying the lock screen for some reason, The detection sensitivity is set to high sensitivity. Therefore, the detection sensitivity is set to a high sensitivity regardless of the bare hand. However, since the user's intention is confirmed by the pop-up display in the above step S6, it is possible to eliminate an erroneous setting during operation with bare hands.
In this case, the time from when the lock screen detection sensitivity is set to high sensitivity until unlocking by bare hands is detected is at most M seconds. Therefore, it is possible to minimize malfunctions during operation with bare hands.
Second Embodiment The present embodiment relates to another example of the sensitivity setting processing operation. The functional configuration of the portable information terminal device of the present embodiment is the same as that of FIG. 1 in the first embodiment. Therefore, a detailed description of the functional configuration in the present embodiment will be omitted, and description will be made using the same numbers as those in FIG.
Hereinafter, the sensitivity setting processing operation by the portable information terminal device 1 of the present embodiment will be described in detail.
Also in the present embodiment, as in the case of the first embodiment, the sensitivity setting process is performed using the user's operation on the unlock button formed of the soft key displayed on the touch panel 2. . That is, a plurality of unlock buttons having different detection sensitivities are prepared on the lock screen, and the detection sensitivity of the touch sensor is set based on the detection sensitivity of the touched unlock button.
FIG. 4 is a flowchart of the sensitivity setting process operation executed under the control of the control processing unit 8. When the power button 6 is pressed by the user, the sensitivity setting processing operation starts.
In step S11, as illustrated in FIG. 5, the input / output control unit 3 causes the touch panel 2 to have the unlock button 10 for normal sensitivity on the premise of touch with bare hands, and for high sensitivity higher than the normal sensitivity. The lock screen including the high-sensitivity lock release button 11 is displayed. In step S12, the sensitivity adjustment unit 4 unlocks the lock screen so that the detection sensitivity of the display area of the unlock button 10 is the normal sensitivity and the detection sensitivity of the display area of the high sensitivity unlock button 11 is the high sensitivity. The detection sensitivity of all areas other than the buttons 10 and 11 is initially set to the normal sensitivity. Here, the initial value of the detection sensitivity of the lock screen is stored in the storage unit 5 in advance.
For example, when the touch panel 2 is a capacitance type touch panel, the initial setting of the detection sensitivity of the high sensitivity unlock button 11 is a threshold value of the capacitance when detecting a touch on the touch panel 2. Only the area corresponding to the unlock button 11 may be set lower than the other areas.
The user can unlock by touching the unlock button 10 or the high sensitivity unlock button 11 on the lock screen and sliding downward.
In step S13, based on the touch detection signal input from the input / output control unit 3, it is determined whether or not an unlock operation by the user has been detected within M seconds after the lock screen is displayed. As a result, if detected, the process proceeds to step S14. If not detected, the process returns to step S11 to activate the lock screen.
In step S14, it is determined whether or not the unlocking operation detected in step S13 is an operation on the unlock button 10 having the normal sensitivity. As a result, if the operation is for the unlock button 10, the user is determined to be bare and proceeds to step S18, otherwise proceeds to step S15.
In step S15, in order to confirm the user's intention, a screen including an inquiry sentence “Do you want to start in high sensitivity mode?” And the “Yes” button and “No” button consisting of the above soft keys pops up. The In that case, at least the area of the “Yes” button is set to a high detection sensitivity so that it can react when wearing gloves.
In step S16, based on the touch detection signal input from the input / output control unit 3, it is determined whether or not the user's selection for the pop-up is “Yes”. As a result, if “Yes”, the process proceeds to step S 17, while if not “Yes” (“No”), the process proceeds to step S 18.
In step S17, the sensitivity adjustment unit 4 sets the detection sensitivity of the position input device on the touch panel 2 to high sensitivity based on an instruction from the control processing unit 8. Thus, the touch detection sensitivity for all the screens displayed on the display device of the touch panel 2 is set to a high sensitivity.
After that, the above sensitivity setting processing operation is terminated, and the process proceeds to the unlock processing operation.
In step S18, the sensitivity adjustment unit 4 sets the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 to the normal sensitivity based on an instruction from the control processing unit 8. Thus, the touch detection sensitivity for all the screens displayed on the display device of the touch panel 2 is set to the normal sensitivity.
After that, the above sensitivity setting processing operation is terminated, and the process proceeds to the unlock processing operation.
As described above, in the present embodiment, when the power button 6 is pressed by the user, the lock screen including the normal sensitivity unlock button 10 and the high sensitivity high sensitivity unlock button 11 is displayed on the touch panel 2. Then, the detection sensitivity of the area other than the lock release buttons 10 and 11 on the lock screen is initialized to the normal sensitivity. After that, based on the touch detection signal from the input / output control unit 3, it is determined whether or not an unlocking operation by the user has been detected.
When the unlocking operation is an operation with respect to the unlocking button 10, the sensitivity adjustment unit 4 sets the detection sensitivity for the touch panel 2 to the normal sensitivity. On the other hand, when the unlocking operation is an operation with respect to the high-sensitivity unlock button 11, the main setting is performed with high sensitivity.
In short, the high-sensitivity unlock button 11 that can be touched when wearing gloves is limited in position on the touch panel 2 so that unlocking and detection sensitivity setting are performed simultaneously.
Therefore, the detection sensitivity can be switched in a gloved state without providing a special device such as the mechanical switch or the acceleration sensor. Therefore, convenience at the time of switching the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 can be enhanced.
At this time, the sensitivity setting process is performed using the user's operation on the unlock buttons 10 and 11 on the lock screen. Therefore, it is not necessary to additionally install a dedicated circuit for switching the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 or to additionally execute special processing, and an increase in power consumption can be suppressed.
Here, in the above configuration, the lock screen including the normal sensitivity lock release button 10 and the high sensitivity high sensitivity lock release button 11 is displayed on the touch panel 2 as shown in FIG. Therefore, the high sensitivity area on the lock screen is limited to the area of the high sensitivity unlock button 11, and it is possible to suppress the occurrence of an erroneous operation on the high sensitivity area when operating with bare hands.
In each of the above embodiments, when the unlock button with the detection sensitivity set to high sensitivity is operated, an inquiry sentence “Do you want to start in high sensitivity mode?” The screen that contains it is displayed in a pop-up to confirm the user's intention. However, this confirmation is not always necessary.
In the above embodiments, only one sensitivity value is assigned as the “high sensitivity”. However, a plurality of sensitivity values higher than the “normal sensitivity” can be assigned. In that case, in the first embodiment, the presence or absence of detection of the unlocking operation may be determined while sequentially setting the high sensitivity to a plurality of stages. In the second embodiment, the high-sensitivity unlock button 11 may be composed of a plurality of buttons, and different sensitivity values may be assigned. By doing so, it becomes possible to cope with changes in the conductivity of the finger due to the thickness of the glove fabric worn by the user and the material.

According to the above configuration, the detection sensitivity is adjusted using the operator's operation on the unlock buttons 9, 10, and 11 on the lock screen, so that the operation can be performed by detecting a change in resistance value or capacitance. A special device such as a mechanical switch for determining whether or not the hand is wearing a glove, an acceleration sensor for detecting a swing motion for the detection sensitivity switching request of the touch panel 2, and a dedicated device There is no need to add a circuit or special processing. Therefore, it is possible to further improve convenience when switching the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 while wearing gloves while suppressing an increase in power consumption.
Moreover, in the portable information terminal device of one embodiment,
The lock release button 9 included in the lock screen is one,
The unlock button sensitivity setting units 4 and 8 are configured to alternately set the first sensitivity and the second sensitivity for the one unlock button 9.
According to this embodiment, the operator only needs to perform the unlocking operation on the single unlock button 9 included in the displayed lock screen, and can prevent an erroneous operation during the unlocking operation.
Furthermore, since the lock release button 9 that can be touch-operated when wearing gloves (that is, the detection sensitivity is set to the second sensitivity) is provided for a limited time, malfunction during operation with bare hands is minimized. Can be suppressed.
Moreover, in the portable information terminal device of one embodiment,
The lock release buttons 10 and 11 included in the lock screen are plural,
The unlock button sensitivity setting units 4 and 8 set the detection sensitivity of any one of the plurality of unlock buttons 10 and 11 to the first sensitivity, and The remaining detection sensitivity is set to the second sensitivity.
According to this embodiment, the lock release button 10 set to the first sensitivity on the premise of touch with bare hands, and the second sensitivity on the premise of touch when wearing gloves higher than the first sensitivity. Since the lock release buttons 11 set to “1” are displayed independently of each other, malfunctions at the time of unlocking can be suppressed.
Further, since the lock release button 11 that can be touch-operated when wearing gloves (that is, the detection sensitivity is set to the second sensitivity) is limited in position, the malfunction during the operation with bare hands is minimized. Can be suppressed.
Moreover, in the portable information terminal device of one embodiment,
When the touch panel sensitivity setting units 4 and 8 determine that the unlock button touch determination unit 8 has detected a touch on the unlock buttons 9 and 10 whose detection sensitivity is set to the first sensitivity. In the case where it is determined that the touch on the unlock buttons 9 and 11 in which the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 is set to the first sensitivity and the detection sensitivity is set to the second sensitivity is detected. The detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 is set to the second sensitivity.
According to this embodiment, the operator only performs the unlocking operation with the bare hand on the unlock buttons 9 and 10 set to the first sensitivity on the assumption that the detection sensitivity is a touch with the bare hand. Thus, the detection sensitivity of the touch panel 2 can be automatically set to the first sensitivity. In addition, the touch panel 2 can be automatically unlocked by simply attaching a glove to the unlock buttons 9 and 11 that are set to the second sensitivity on the premise that the touch is performed when wearing gloves. The detection sensitivity can be set to the second sensitivity. Therefore, the convenience at the time of switching the detection sensitivity of the said touch panel 2 in the state which put on the glove can be improved more.
