Abstract
The invention relates to a device (1) for producing a sodium hypochlorite solution having a redox value of more than 800 mV and in particular a pH value greater than 8, comprising a compartmented electrolysis cell (10) having a separating chamber (2), which is divided by a flat membrane (3) into a cathode chamber (4) and an anode chamber (5), wherein the separating chamber (2) is permeated on both sides of the membrane (3) along the same, wherein a cathode (45) is provided in the cathode chamber (4) and is arranged at a preselected distance from the membrane (3), wherein the cathode chamber (4) has a cathode chamber solution inlet (41) for a cathode chamber solution (43) and a cathode chamber solution outlet (42) for a catholyte (44), and wherein an anode (55) is provided in the anode chamber (5) and is arranged at a preselected distance from the membrane (3), wherein the anode chamber (5) has an anode chamber solution inlet (51) for an anode chamber solution (53) and an anode chamber solution outlet (52) for anolyte (54), wherein a sodium chlorite-water solution (common salt solution) (6) can be fed to the anode chamber solution inlet (51) and can flow through the anode chamber (5) and can be removed from the anode chamber (5) as anolyte (54) at the anode chamber solution outlet (52), and in that an anolyte pipe (56) is provided, via which the anolyte (54) can be fed from the anode chamber solution outlet (52) to the cathode chamber (4) at the cathode chamber solution inlet (41) and is able to flow through the cathode chamber parallel to the anode chamber (5), and in that the sodium hypochlorite solution can be removed as catholyte (44) at the cathode chamber solution outlet (42).
