Abstract

The present invention relates in principle to the technical field of thermal depolymerization, in particular of hydrocarbon-containing materials and/or plastics. The invention provides methods and apparatuses by which hydrocarbon-containing starting materials are mixed with the heat carrier during the thermal depolymerization by means of a centering flow. The invention relates particularly to methods and apparatuses in which liquid metal is used as the heat carrier for the thermal depolymerization of hydrocarbon-containing starting materials.
