Abstract

A presente invenção está relacionada ao controle de infestação de praga através da inibição ou redução da expressão de genes da família da lacase. A invenção provê ainda métodos e composições para o controle de pragas, através da alimentação de uma ou mais moléculas de RNA de fita dupla provida pela presente invenção. A invenção descreve ainda um método de obtenção de plantas transgênicas que expressem moléculas de RNA de fita dupla. A presente invenção é preferencialmente utilizada para plantas de algodoeiro.
