Description

DOWN JACKET WITH SELECTABLE OUTER SHELL
The present invention relates to a down jacket with a selectable outer shell, and more particularly, to a down jacket with a selectable outer shell, which includes: an urethane coating layer formed on an inner face of an outer shell for preventing exudation of duck down such that not only synthetic resin but also fabrics of various kinds capable of exudation of duck down can be applied; and a tape member formed on an inner face of an inner shell so as to form a compartment through a thermal adhesion at a portion where the tape member and the urethane coating layer meet together, thereby making a processing process easy.
In general, a down jacket is a sort of winter clothes is commonly called duck down parka and is lighter and warmer than other winter clothes because breast feathers of ducks or geese are injected into a space between an inner shell and an outer shell of the down jacket, and hence, is a popular winter clothing.
The down jacket is lighter and warmer than other winter clothes because breast feathers of ducks which are soft, have excellent warmth-retaining performance and air-permeability and do not cause static electricity by containing moderate moisture even in the dry winter season are used. Due to the above-mentioned characteristics, the down jacket is recognized at one of high-quality clothes in the winter season.
Such a conventional down jacket includes front and rear parts of a body, arms and collars which respectively have an inner shell and an outer shell. The inner shell and the outer shell are cut out in the form of a jacket, and front faces of the inner shells and the outer shells of the front and rear parts, the arms and the collars are opposite against each other, namely, the rear faces of the inner shell and the outer shells face outward and coincide with each other. After all parts excluding a duck down inlet are sewed along stitching lines of the inner shell and the outer shell, the sewed down jacket is turned inside out and duck down is injected into the space between the inner shell and the outer shell, namely, into the down jacket, and then, the duck down inlet is sewed.
The sewed down jacket in which duck down is injected is sewed in a horizontal direction at regular intervals in a state where the inner shell and the outer shell coincide with each other, and hence, the down jacket is completed into the form of a thick overcoat by a plurality of duck down compartments formed by the sewed lines.
However, the inner shell and the outer shell of the conventional down jacket are mainly made of a synthetic resin material, such as Goretex, rather than fabrics, such as cotton or wool, in order to prevent exudation of the injected duck down from the compartments. Therefore, the conventional down jacket has several problems in that there is a narrow range of selection of down jackets from the point of consumers view and it is difficult to manufacture down jackets of various designs from the point of manufacturers view.
Moreover, the conventional down jacket has another problem in that duck feathers are exuded through needle holes formed through sewing work.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in an effort to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior arts, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a down jacket with a selectable outer shell, which includes: an urethane coating layer formed on an inner face of an outer shell for preventing exudation of duck down such that not only synthetic resin but also fabrics of various kinds capable of exudation of duck down can be applied; and a tape member formed on an inner face of an inner shell so as to form a compartment through a thermal adhesion at a portion where the tape member and the urethane coating layer meet together, thereby making a processing process easy.
To achieve the above objects, the present invention provides a down jacket with a selectable outer shell which includes double fabrics having an inner shell and an outer shell and a plurality of compartments formed by comparting the inner shell and the outer shell and filled with duck down, the down jacket further including: a tape member disposed on an inner face of the inner shell; and an urethane coating layer formed on an inner face of the outer shell.
According to the present invention, the inner shell is made of a synthetic resin material which can prevent exudation of duck down filling the inside of the compartments, and the outer shell is made of one selected from various fabrics without regard to exudation of duck down from the outer shell 20.
According to the present invention, the compartments are formed by bonding by the tape member and thermal adhesion using the urethane coating layer because the inner shell has the tape member on the inner face thereof and the outer shell has the urethane coating layer formed on the inner face.
The down jacket with a selectable outer shell according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: the urethane coating layer formed on the inner face of the outer shell for preventing exudation of duck down such that not only synthetic resin but also fabrics of various kinds capable of exudation of duck down can be applied; and the tape member formed on the inner face of the inner shell so as to form a compartment through a thermal adhesion at a portion where the tape member and the urethane coating layer meet together, thereby making a processing process easy.
FIG. 1 is a sectional view of a down jacket with a selectable outer shell according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 1 is a sectional view of a down jacket with a selectable outer shell according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The down jacket with the selectable outer shell according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention includes double fabrics having an inner shell and an outer shell and a plurality of compartments which are formed by comparting the inner shell and the outer shell and are filled with duck down, wherein the inner shell includes a tape member disposed on an inner face thereof and the outer shell includes an urethane coating layer formed on an inner face thereof.
Hereinafter, referring to FIG. 1, the down jacket 1 with the selectable outer shell according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.
Here, the inner shell 10 of the down jacket has the tape member 40 disposed on the inner face thereof, and the tape member 40 is selectively adhered on the urethane coating layer 30 of the outer shell 20 so as to serve to form compartments which are independently filled with a filler 50. For this, it is preferable that the tape member 40 be disposed at regular intervals at every point where the compartments will be formed, and the tape member 40 may be selected from conventional adhesive tapes used for manufacturing clothes. Furthermore, differently from the outer shell 20, the inner shell 10 does not have the urethane coating layer 30 which can prevent exudation of duck down, and hence, is made of the synthetic resin material which can prevent exudation of duck down like Goretex.
Moreover, the outer shell 20 has the urethane coating layer 30 formed on the inner face thereof, and the urethane coating layer 30 located on the inner face of the outer shell 20 serves to prevent the duck down which is the filter 50 from being exuded and moisture from permeating into the outer shell 20 and to promote formation of compartments by the thermal adhesion between the urethane coating layer 30 and the tape member 40.
In other words, because the urethane coating layer 30 which can prevent exudation of the filler 50 and has a waterproof effect is formed on the inner face of the outer shell 20, without regard to exudation of duck down from the outer shell 20, the outer shell 20 can be made of one selected from various fabrics, such as wool or cotton. Therefore, there is a wide range of selection of down jackets from the point of consumers view, and manufacturers can manufacture down jackets of various designs.
Additionally, because the inner shell 10 has the tape member 40 formed on the inner face and the outer shell 20 has the urethane coating layer formed on the inner face, the tape member 40 is temporarily adhered onto the urethane coating layer 30, and then, the compartments which will be filled with the filler 50 such as duck down can be easily formed by the thermal adhesion using the property of the urethane coating layer 30 which is adhered while melting.
While the present invention has been described with reference to the exemplary embodiment, it is not to be restricted by the exemplary embodiment but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the present invention without departing from the technical scope and spirit of the present invention.
